Placed an order today at 12:10PM. It’s now almost 1:00PM and our order is still not here. I called and spoke to someone at the store inquiring about where our delivery was and the person said they were«slammed.» No excuse. This supposedly freakishly fast place is freakishly slow and needs to hire more employees if they can’t handle the amount of business they are receiving. We will NEVER order from them again. 12:58PM — food just arrived. My lunch hour is over and so is my relationship with this store that provides poor service and can’t keep up with its business. Ridiculous.

I am someone who has a hard time finding a restaurant where I can feel 100 percent comfortable with eating at. I have celiacs which makes it difficult for me to eat out. Cross contamination with gluten is my number one nemesis. I have definitely found my hero in Chad and all of the staff at Jimmy Johns to aid and assist this damsel in distress and help me fight my battle against the tiny crumbs that caused me so much pain and discomfort when they inadvertently make their way into my food. I eat here on the regular and I’m greeted every time with friendly smiles and I never even have to ask for them to change their gloves or use fresh paper with my food. I love that I don’t feel like I am a hassle to them in the slightest bit. Most places make me feel like it’s a problem. To make sure my food is actually gluten free I am glad to know that there is one that I can always count on to satisfy. Thanks again to Chad for really making a difference.

I would tell you how this location is, but they refuse to deliver to my location so I wouldn’t know.

Not sure what’s going on with this location. They are very busy, but the last 3 times we’ve eaten at this one, the bread is cold and hard. Went yesterday and just quit eating due to the bread. Asked for the sandwich with extra wetness, and it was dry. Two subs, 2 drinks, and 2 chips for over $ 18.00 really isn’t a great deal! I used to love it, have continued to try it, but after yesterday it may be moved to the skip it list for me.

I go to this place all the time, but today I go in around 1:30pm. Only two people working in the entire store. On top of that, my bread tastes like stale day old bread, not fresh!

Let’s not get wild. $ 10 for a small sub & soda delivered isn’t bad. The sun was better than subway and better quality than jersey mikes, but smaller. Pro tip: go to the deli counter at Harris Teeter. Probably just as convenient but boar’s head, bigger, and real bread for the same price.

I had my life’s most disgusting sandwich today from here! It straight up made me sick! I asked for dijon mustard wasn’t even any one there, instead there was so much mayo on it that things were swimming around in it and was sliding out of the sandwich! I scraped off most of the mayo from the bread but still made me sick bc the bread soaked in it bc it wasn’t even toasted!(This was an order over the phone, so couldnt say anything while making it)

Super quick, reasonably priced sandwich with friendly service. What else can you ask for when looking for a simple lunch?

I have eaten at Jimmy John’s twice(two different locations) and here are my thoughts. Pros: The bread is really good. Probably the best bread of the sub shops. They deliver and it is super fast. Cons: The music is really loud. If you weren’t deaf going in, you will be coming out. The prices are a little high for what you get. They don’t have pickles for the sandwiches. Pickles are my favorite and I have never been to a sandwich shop that didn’t have them. The only side choice you have is chips. Would be nice to have pasta salad or fruit. Anything besides chips.

If I could give half-stars, this would be a 3.5. The subs are tastier and more packed than Subway’s and Quizno’s, and the quality is better overall. But Jersey Mike’s and Penn Station within blocks give Jimmy John’s some stiff competition. With that being said, I do think that JJ’s has the best bread of all of it’s competitors. The only thing that keeps me from choosing this shop over those every time is that the service is hit-or-miss. It’s mostly run by high-school aged guys and girls, and most of the time they’re busy talking among themselves. Having worked in a restaurant, I know how important it is to greet or at least acknowledge every customer, and that doesn’t always happen here.

Probably one of the best sub shops in Raleigh. They give you lots of meat on fresh bread. Way more meat than the other chains. Super fast service and a good price.

Not impressed. This was my first time at a JJ’s and I was disappointed from the start. My cashier couldn’t muster up enough kindness to smile or even say ‘thank you’, he was more concerned with sweeping the floor. So, after seeing the menu I was delighted to see a sub aptly named the ‘Vegetarian’ and being one, I immediately decide I wanted it. Placed the order, and very quickly was handed my lunch. Wonderful… I thought. Upon getting back to the office I opened it to find barely a teaspoon of avocado on it. They boast about the ‘real avocado’ on the menu, so I was really looking forward to it. Then halfway through the vegetarian sub I came across 2 small pieces of meat clinging to the lettuce. NOTCOOL! Overall the sub was so-so, but really left me with a bad taste in my mouth for various reasons. I will not return. Ever.

Hey, I have an idea! Let’s go to Stop & Shop, pick up some cold cuts and last night’s bread. Let’s make some sandwiches, sell them with chips and call it the Sub-par Special. And we can do this all over North Carolina! And we can call it… Jimmy John’s. Oh yeah, and since we have so many extra smells around the house, let’s include one with every meal. For FREE.

Some might ask«Why bother to review a sandwich shop». Well this reviewer thinks it is well worth writing about. Our office ordered from here for a lunch meeting many many months ago, and I was very impressed as to the quality of my bread and size of my sandwich– not to mention the generous amount of meat that they put on the sandwiches. I find that«Certain»(cough cough) other places skimp on meat. Clearly NOT Jimmy John’s! Plus it is always fresh– and delivery is fast ANDFREE! It bears mentioning that the tuna is out of this world and is my favorite sandwich. And the only time I had a problem they had no qualms about fixing it right away. Our office continually orders from them so you know it is good and fresh.

I have to say they beat Subway in every count. Less expensive and taste so much better. I have found a new lunch place. Great service also, I walk in and everyone says hi. Easy to order, great selection of chips and cookies. Oh yes drinks, i usually skip the drinks. I have been here an number of times and it is always clean. Outside tables, just a few, next to Skinny Dip. Get a sandwich and then a Yogurt.

Subs are good. But I did not like the behavior of the people who served them.

Fresh, fast & tasty! The bread JJ’s uses for their sandwiches is delicious, nothing like Subway or Jersey Mikes. The staff are movers & shakers — no slackers here! This location is easy to get to with plenty of parking. Coffee shop & gas station in same shopping area — bank across the street(oh the convenience!) I’ve used their delivery & catering, both excellent & super fast! Perfect place for a quick, healthy lunch. Note: Cold sandwiches only — no soups, no salads(although they do have«unwiches» without the bread) and no kids menu.

Yum! We were craving sandwiches and heard good things about this place. We were greeted with a very enthusiastic and loud«Hello!» as we entered the shop by a gang of sandwich-slingers. There is not a ton of choices, but I knew right away I wanted an Italian sub, anyway. It was super-fresh, great-tasting meats, delicious bread, and just the right amount of everything – and all eight inches cost $ 4.50. This doesn’t include a drink or chips or anything, but all in all for two subs, a drink, and chips, it came to about $ 12. They don’t do soup or salad, or toast the subs, so if you’re looking for that, you’re in the wrong place. The restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, and they have a couple tables outside. I’d definitely go back.
