We should’ve listened to the reviews. But we had a coupon so we wanted to use it. Also, we read beforehand that they had fried fish platters and pimento cheese fritters for an app. Well, when we got there early on Saturday night, we were the only customers. It was freezing in there too. The décor is very dated and drab. The menu didn’t have the fried fish or the fritters. I wanted the fish tacos but they were out of the fish tacos so I had to choose something else. My friend wanted the turkey reuben and they were out of turkey. My other friend wanted the beef on weck and they were out of weck. We asked – what do you have? We ordered fried pickles and hot pretzels for apps. The pickles were greasy and soggy, and they give you a little cup of dipping sauce – could they spare it? The pretzel rolls didn’t have salt on them and they tasted like they had been frozen and defrosted. We wound up leaving after the apps and drinks and not even using the coupon because it was that bad.

passed this place dozens of times and finally stopped by for a bite on new years eve. the place was clean and spacious which is always a winner in my book and the staff was super polite. after we gave the menu a quick once over my girlfriend got the shrimp and grits which she loved. I went with the black and blue pasta which just had gorgonzola, asparagus and steak(certified angus beef) which was absolutely delicious. i highly recommend it, now little«FYI» if you don’t absolutely love strong cheeses you might want to go for something else on this one. the flavor of this dish is very intense but it’s done very well if i say so myself. also as an app we got the loaded potato skins and they were great. this location definitely has the food down and the service although a bit slow is very friendly. i could definitely see myself coming back here in the future.

BF and I have given this place 4 different opportunities to redeem itself, but no such luck. Food is average— service is absolutely appalling. Worst bar staff I have ever seen, and the wait time for food is absurd. All finished trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt.

Same place. Different name. This version gets 3 stars because our waiter was able to run all the food, the bar, and still smile with about 20 people in the place. Customer service will keep me coming back, especially since it’s close to work. They have happy hour specials that are good. The menu has a good variety of appitizers that were a step above«bar food». I definitely like this«new» place better than the previous 2. They may have«fin“ally figured out the formula for success. I hope to add some stars when I update this review.

They use the puddle/popcorn shrimp for everything. You can’t be a seafood restaurant and not have the right shrimp for the right application. I went twice two many times in a week, and it was epic on how many failures they had. Left meat off nachos, then brought them back with what appeared to be chili. Completely smothered. Potato skins no bacon. Plus the side item on an item ordered missing(polenta cake), the only reason it was ordered by diner. Oh it no longer comes with it. Maybe they should take a dollar off the price. Or reprint the menu? Honestly, looking forward to whatever takes over this place. Hoping they close their doors ASAP. It’s a shame. At the beginning it was terrific, then the management changed.

Reviews were mix so my son and I gave it a try. We were going next door to the Butchers Market but decided to eat first. It was a Sunday and lots of football watchers all drinking but only a few eating. My son had Mac n cheese. It was REAL Mac n cheese and not the orange stuff. He liked it. I had their version of beef on Weck. Very good and came with house cut fries which were also very good. I think the menu had too many options including lots of seafood and that can be the reason behind some of the negative reviews. Stick with the bar basics and I don’t think you can go wrong. Waitstaff was very attentive. We will go back for sure.

Consider this a 2 ½ star rating between«I’ve experienced better» and«A-OK». Went today for first visit. Sat in the bar area — there was no one in the dining area but the weather may have been keeping people away? Was craving an oyster po-boy so I gave it a shot. Oysters and sauce were OK but very small portion. Way more bread than oysters. The bread was a soft roll and I like more of the crispier baguette-type rolls for my po-boys but, hey, that is more of a personal preference. More of an FYI about the soft roll. Server/bartender was very nice and offered good service. Will give it another shot/try something different. I would love for something to work at this location since it is close to my office.

Got here in time for happy hour(half off starters 4−6pm) and really enjoyed the pickle chips(thin cut!) but should have passed on the pimento cheese fritters with mango chutney — they weren’t particularly hot when served, lacked flavorful pimento cheese sharp cheddar taste, and the mango chutney just wasn’t a fit to revive them from bland status. Service was pleasant at the bar, so I will give them another try and venture further into the menu.

This was my first time here at Terra Fin and I must say it was very delicious. I had the seafood combo two with shrimp and blacken tilapia with sweet potato fries and seasonal veggies. Everything was cooked perfectly and the staff was excellent. I would recommend you give Terra Fin a try for sure.

I miss the fireplace in the dining room. Great outdoor seating area and beer selection though.

Not a good first impression. We went on Sunday night. It looked like they had a pretty good bar crowd, but we wanted to have a family dinner in the dining room. We waited at least five minutes and no one came to seat us. I made eye contact with the bartender and then waited another couple of minutes, but she didn’t bother to get anyone. Then I walked into the bar and asked her if anyone was working the dining room. She said she would get someone from the back. Then she proceeded to take 3 more drink orders. After standing back in the dining room long enough to have a conversation about where else we should go eat, we finally left. I guess that’s why only one table was occupied. It’s a shame to have a foodie live walking distance from your restaurant and have such a bad experience.

Great little venue. If you like sports and a great wait staff, you’ll love this place. You MUST try the fried pimento cheese balls(app)… Great beer selection for the non-domestic types too. Local. Great food. Great time. Go!

Had an excellent pre-concert(Billy Joel) meal with another couple here. From the tomato goat cheese bisque and salad until the last crumb of lobster/shrimp mac-n-cheese was cleared from our plates, this place delivered. Great, attentive service, and a warm atmosphere in the dining room. Two other menu items were sampled, a shaved prime sandwhich(au jus) with a side of sage roasted carrots(YUM) and a special order burger-cooked exactly as requested. Really, a quality dining experieince. I can’t wait to go back and work my way up and down that menu! Also look forward to hanging out in the bar! Anton, the bar manager was very friendly and delivered some tasty drinks. Thanks so much, be back soon!

Ick. Tried this place out with three friends from work. Not impressed with the look of the place, not impressed with the service, and definitely not impressed with the food. Let’s start with the food. We started with happy hour wine and two appetizers. The wine seemed stale and the apps left a lot to be desired. The crab artichoke dip was lacking crab, artichokes, and seasoning in general. The clams were salty and overcooked. Then onto the entrees. Three fish dishes and a burger. Salmon was awful — cooked to well done and slathered with a bitter glaze. The flounder was bland, as was the burger. Side salads had giant chunks of tomatoes and cucumbers — good and all, but sort of too big to eat. No one was happy with anything we were served. The service didn’t help. Very slow overall. She was nice and all, but not really on top of it. We were all told that the salad was a dollar up charge. Was actually two dollars when we got our bills. My meal was missing the sauce. She said she’d bring it, but never did. Same thing with the side of mustard my companion ordered. Empty drinks all around and she mixed up stuff on two of the bills. Eh. The décor isn’t much different from the prior establishment… Falls Tap Room. A little cleaner and smells better, but that’s about it. The atmosphere is definitely not fitting of the prices they charge. Spend your money elsewhere.

Stopped in a few weeks after they opened. Other comments regarding the atmosphere are spot on — it’s spartan in the dining room and exceptionally plain in the bar. Bad start — I ordered a Manhattan — and they didn’t have any vermouth. The food was basically fair. The menu is promising, but the food doesn’t meet expectations. Jambalaya as a pasta dish? That’s not jambalaya. The beef tips were terribly ordinary. With all the options in the area, a good neighborhood joint with a little personality, decent food and a fun bar could go a long way. I’ll give them one more try.

I used to go to Blincos then the Tap Room for a beer or two on Fridays. Now it’s yet another name/business, TerraFin. Wanted to check it out. The Tap Room was OK. Zero ambience But a reasonable place to meet someone for a beer. I will be trying the food this week and will post back. The establishment has the least décor I have ever seen. Even less the the Tap Room. I was hoping for a more welcoming appearance and some ambience where there was none before. Very spartan.

So at the time of this post, this place is just over a week old. I have eaten here 4 times and it is very good. I am a local neighborhood guy and this is a welcome addition. I have had seafood and chicken sandwiches along with a great quesadilla app and I am impressed, especially for the price. I can eat here for $ 4 per entrée cheaper than Tribecca up the street and get real fresh food. I talked to the owner and none of their food is processed. Good local beer selection, NC angus and fresh seafood. Much cleaner and clutter less than when this place was the tap room and you can get great food at the bar. I will be back !!

Coffee was lukewarm but very strong. They got my order wrong. I ordered a «Tavern» burger, they brought out a «Cleveland» burger. Then they told me that I ordered a Cleveland burger. Was this an honest mistake, or them not wanting to acknowledge that it was their fault? The food was OK but the fries were not too good, very thick but didn’t seem to be cooked completely. They gave all of us to go cups for our drinks, so that was nice. I would go back but I would make them repeat my order. If they made another mistake I would insist they fix it next time.
