Mitchell’s Hair Styling

This place is top notch. My understanding is that each stylist rents out a booth, but the front staff people who check you in, wash hair, do coloring work for Mitchell’s.
The staff are fantastic, but if that’s true about the stylists then I can only speak for Abe (Ah-​bé) who does my hair, although I’m sure they’re all good. He’s a Japanese guy, which I think is awesome, he’s been exposed to more than just one country’s sense of style.
He’s been cutting my hair for about 2 years now and he’s the best I’ve ever had. All I can say is he’s a master. They say mastery takes 10,000 hours and I have no doubt he’s put that in plus some. He works with you to get the exact cut you want, and he understands hair like I never thought possible. It’s literally gotten to the point where I trust his judgement so much that I’ll go in and just ask him to surprise me.
And I’ll add that this is coming from a guy who used to think $ 15 was an expensive haircut. Worth every penny.

The stylist was unprofessional as she kept talking to another girl the whole time she was cutting my hair, didn’t pay attention to what I wanted done with my hair, resulted in an awfull haircut.

Located right next to the hotel in North Hills. This is a rental salon whereby each stylist rents space and charges there own price for services. The receptionist was very friendly and the stylist did a nice job with the hair. There is plenty to do in the area while you wait for your appointment.

I’m from Virginia and recently took a trip to Raleigh. While in town I decided to get my hair cut at the Mitchell’s salon in North Hills. Several years ago I went to the Crabtree mall location and had a good experience there. I was very impressed with the staff at the North Hills location. The stylist was very hospitable and even offered me a drink. We chatted a few minutes about the type of hair cut I wanted. She was very knowledgable and took her time to ensure that my hair was cut evenly. My stylist also made some excellent product recommendations that work well with my hair type. It’s very apparent that the stylists at Mitchell’s are well trained and knowledable. Whether you are looking for a new style, advice, or a routine hair cut I highly recommend Mitchell’s. Pricing is also very reasonable for the type of service they offer.
