Great place with upscale atmosphere without the upscale prices and pretension! I am on a restricted diet and these folks are ALWAYS accommodating of my needs. Doug at the Falls River location was a great server. Very attentive and polite without being obtrusive. We have never had a bad experience here and we are fairly frequent customers. Ask for Doug the next time you go in… he’s a nice kid… and no this is NOT his DAD! We really enjoy the seafood kabobs and the beef and chicken kabobs… oh and the salads are always fresh and cold! Give it a try!

Terrific deal on prime rib on weekends plus free cake on Saturday night. I was pleasantly surprised that free cake was offered every day with a $ 10 lunch order. My wife loves the belly clams and lobster roll. Whatever I’ve had here has been at least good and sometimes better. I particularly recommend the lobster bisque.

I don’t believe in giving bad ratings, so this is a big deal for me. I get very anxious, so I rarely(seriously, almost never) complain if something isn’t good. I’d rather just go hungry than complain. Also, in my entire adult life, never once have I sent back a dish or asked a server to comp a dish. That changed tonight. We have been to this restaurant maybe a dozen times in the past 5 years. We used to enjoy it more(their sweet rolls, especially, which are now gone), but the last two times have been poor experiences. The prices are slightly higher than the area chains, but that’s acceptable and expected for«real» food from local owned businesses. Tonight, we were immediately seated, but waited for over 10 minutes to be greeted by our server and asked for our drink orders, which came out at least 5 minutes later(3 waters!). We almost left twice, but she showed up just as we’d begin to get up. The server was nice and enthusiastic, but that can only make up for so much. We ordered my son’s cheeseburger before our own food, and it came out under-cooked. We sent back the inedible portion and the waitress said it would be comped. Again, this is the first and only time in my entire life that I’ve sent back food. While we waited for our food to arrive, our water glasses went empty and sat that way until I asked for more. When our food did arrive, my husband’s food was good — good sized portion, temperature and quality. My food, however, was not. The sun-dried tomatoes were so leathery that I couldn’t even chew some of them.(I have a full mouth of healthy, cavity free teeth). I ate around them and ate about half of my salad before deciding it wasn’t worth it. Note — a woman at the table next to us ordered the same salad and hardly touched hers. They clearly needed to discard those sun-dried tomatoes, which I mentioned to the server. I didn’t ask for that to be comped and it wasn’t offered. When she brought the bill, the burger hadn’t been comped. Because my salad was also not eaten, I decided it was important to get that $ 6 burger charge fixed, which took another 10 minutes. All the while, other guests also were clearly frustrated with empty water glasses and not being greeted promptly. Bottom line: 2 out of 3 meals inedible, long wait to be greeted and served, we won’t be back. Last note: Saturday is free half-slice of cake night, and we got ours to go. Cake was good, but still not enough to get me to ever return.

I love this place! Without a shadow of a doubt! If you like good seafood and yummy cake, this is the spot. The Lobster Bisque and New England Clam Chowder are always my go to no matter the weather. I’m not a cake person but I have tried other’s cake they are always super most. The slices are a good size as well. They have daily specials so it’s nice to go for lunch. I usually go to the one in Durham as that is closer to my job. If your in the neighborhood I’d say check it out. It’s great for groups as well. They have a «bar» side and the restaurant side. There was a birthday party going on while we were there but it wasn’t annoying or too loud. I honestly didn’t even know they were there aside from ppl walking in with presents. I will definitely be going back. Go and get your surf and turf on!

I can’t believe I haven’t heard more talk of this restaurant! A friend and I went in for dinner and the wait was reasonable, the hostesses had some large parties ahead of us but they seated them quickly. The food was amazing, the staff was friendly, and our waiter was great! The food is a bit pricy but not terribly ridiculous. My personal bill was around $ 20 for an entrée and a sweet tea before tip. On Tuesdays and Saturdays you get a free huge slice of cake with any entrée over $ 13! How cool is that?! I loved this place and will be raving about it to my friends and family!

Enjoying a late lunch with my sweetie. Food was delicious. She had the crab cakes and was allowed to substitute spinach risotto. I thoroughly enjoyed the pine nut salad. Both tasty and healthy. Server was friendly and helpful. Nice place.

Chicken salad was good as was waiter. We asked manager if he would take our groups holiday photo and he couldn’t be bothered doing this. This was very unpleasant. The restaurant was not busy and this experience was the deal breaker for me. This restaurant has adequate food and the prices are not cheap, so I’ll sail on to other restaurants.

Overpriced average food. Chicken parm tastes like ragu and cheap cheese for basically 20 dollars. Waste of money going here.

I really wish I could give Nantucket more stars as the food is good. Unfortunately the service is horrible. From wait personnel that don’t know the menu to appetizers not showing up until the entrée is brought out to food going to the incorrect table to wait staff circulating past your table multiple times as they don’t know what table the food is supposed to go to. Let’s forget that some tables receive the normally yummy bread while others got none. It seems that the personnel are in desperate need of basic training, and working as a team if the wait staff shares the responsibility of delivering meals to other wait staff tables. Here’s hoping for a drastic improvement as it would be a real shame to lose one of the few good seafood restaurants in North Raleigh due to below par service.

Great food, great place. We have been there several times. Lobster ravioli is my favorite. An earlier reviewer said the cake was ½ piece. Every time I have been there, the cake piece seemed huge to me. And tastes delicious!

Great food and great service. I would personally recommend the grilled salmon salad. One thing I would change is the music. Other than that a great restaurant with a friendly staff.

I’ve never had a good meal here, either cold, dry and over cooked, no taste or cooked wrong from how I’ve ordered it. I’ve given it too many chances and won’t go back anymore. The last time I got it to go and the register must have been broken because I had to help the hostess with math and tell her how much change I needed.

Lobster roll for lunch was very good. Compared to others at the table, the plate was quite spartan – lobster roll, a small serving of apple coleslaw, and a pickle hiding under the paper tray for the roll. That was it. No garnish of any sort. That being said, the roll was not overwhelmed by the bun and had a very generous portion of lobster. I walked away from lunch not stuffed with bread like so many other sandwiches are designed to do. Atmosphere was nice and clean. Service was quick and professional.

We went here at an odd time of the day, only a few other people in the place. We stood in front of the host for roughly 5 minutes while they were on the phone taking an order. The place is very nice, clean and inviting. The bar is separate from the dining room, which is nice.

Sub Par. The fried clams and scallops were by far the worst we’ve ever had. They seem to be more concerned about their desserts here than their other menu items. We don’t do dessert however. They were friendly and took back the fried seafood no questions asked.

We were definitely pleasantly surprised and couldn’t believe we’ve been driving by this place for who knows how long without stopping. In spite of the name, it isn’t all seafood. I had an enormous and tasty portion of roasted chicken that I enjoyed. The mashed potatoes as a side were particularly yummy. I asked to substitute my side for the sauteed green beans. Our server, Anthony, replied, «no problem!» It was a good decision! My date had the crab cakes, which he said were also tasty. We split some mile high strawberry shortcake, which was also very good. I think that could have been a little better had it sat a room temperature just a moment before serving, as it was very cold, giving the cake what I think was an unnecessary hardness. What keeps me from giving the spot five stars in the inconsistency in the ambiance, pricing, and service. I did like it and definitely will be back, but it seems that in this price range,(for example) strawberries shouldn’t be served in plastic ramikens with lids, there shouldn’t specials in big letters on the menu, and the décor should be a little more upscale(it has an old time seafood restaurant feel). I’m fine with all of that, but the combination of the«down home seafood restaurant» with upscale leaves me a bit under 5 star rating :) Overall I do recommend. We’ll go back!

BEWAREOFFALSEADVERTISINGATNANTUCKET, RALEIGH!!! There is a sign outside that reads“½ off appetizers from 3 — 6PM Sunday — Friday.“ Well, please be aware that this ONLY applies to appetizers ordered INTHEBAR and only if your order the FULLSIZE. It does not apply to half size or what they call, LOWTIDE portion. Of course, you will not be informed of this until you receive your bill. The manager, Donnie, is rude, could care less about customer service and denies that the sign is false. While the food remains good, the attitude of this manager is probably the main reason why the restaurant was nearly empty during the 2 hours we were there. Go to the Chapel Hill location, please there actually CARE about customers.

For my Aunt’s birthday, we went to @NantucketNC & had a reservation set up for 35 people at 4PM. I arrived 15 minutes prior to the time. When I arrived the manager, or I assume the manager, greeted me and asked if I was there for the party. I said that I was, and I was told that it was in the back corner on the right side of the restaurant. I walked into the group, looked around, and didn’t know a soul. Everybody in the group looked at me, and asked if I was in the correct place. It turns out that there were two parties, and the manager incorrectly assumed which one I was attending. We know what assume means, assume = ass, u, me. Which is sort of how I felt, for a minute. The servers were Vanessa & Jacob. Jacob arrived late, about 20 minutes or so later was the time he finished settling in, and starting to take our food orders. I think, if you know you have a party starting at 4:00, make sure you assign servers that get there at 3:30, not 4:30. Until Jacob was settled in, and started to assist us, Vanessa was obviously upset that he was missing, and kept making comments about it. They two kept taking orders, but they really didn’t seem like they communicated and worked well together. The food came out about 5:40PM. We just played games and amused ourselves by the time food got there. I guess with all the people, they were trying to bring the orders out all together, instead of bringing them out as they were ready. Depending on how you look at it, that can be either good or bad. As far as the food, I ordered Chicken Parmesan, low tide. That comes with one piece of chicken, where the high-tide comes with two pieces of chicken. I am glad I ordered the low tide. My cousin sitting next to me said my marinara sauce looked like plain tomato sauce. Judging from the taste, she was about right. The sauce was bland, and tasteless. The chicken, well, I wish I had a sharp steak knife to cut it, as it was not tender, and I had to use effort to cut it into pieces. But the portion size for low tide, I would say is enough, and the high-tide would have been overkill. On Saturdays, according to their Facebook page, and menu, if you order an entrée valued over $ 13 you get a free slice of cake. They even have the sign over a huge size slice of Strawberry Shortcake. I would say that they did a bit of false advertising. I was expecting a WHOLE slice of cake. Instead, they gave everybody half slices of cake. So they advertised a whole, but gave out half slices. If you look at their website and menu, you will see what I am talking about. I ordered the Chocolate and Peanut Butter cake. The half slice of cake that they served was, was, given to me in a takeout container. Yes, that is right, they served everybody’s dessert in a take-out container. That says to me, GTFO, or GETOUT! for short. I guess they didn’t want us to enjoy the desserts in their establishment. I just ate my dessert in the restaurant, as I didn’t want to be rushed. After all, I was a paying customer. I would like to say that the dessert was excellent, with a rich and creamy frosting that melted in my mouth but I can’t. What I can say is that the cake was very cold because it appeared to have been frozen and had not finished thawing yet. So any velvety texture, or creaminess was not there. The icing was so hard, that when I stuck my fork in it, it just broke off into pieces. Icing is not supposed to do that. So my cake was not enjoyable either. There were general complaints about how frozen tasting, lack of flavor the food had from many people in the crowd, but I can’t say as I didn’t eat their food. I am upset about the check. My signed credit card receipt says after tip, $ 17.72, yet my bank statement says $ 18.54. At no point in time was it made clear that«Hey, we just added our own tip, so no need to sign your credit card, as we are going to charge what we want.» I didn’t see that written on the menu either. Shouldn’t you tell people that, or have it in writing BEFORE you do it? It took what seemed like a while to get all of the checks out to everybody. I guess that is to be expected since it was a large crowd, but that is where an extra server would have come in handy. At other restaurants I have seen the servers have the checks prepared early, and start handing them out, and just make changes as needed, not wait until people have their jackets on, and are ready to walk out the door. I had to go ask the manager for the checks, and then it took a while to get processed with al the checks. I can’t say I was impressed, but my food was not horrific, and was edible, so they got credit for that. But they lost major points for the disorder, lack of being ready, frozen cake served in a TOGO box. I did ask for silverware twice, and never got it, so I had to get up and go find my own. Close to the end of the evening, I asked for water, twice, and my glass stayed empty, so I left thirsty. But they did keep it refilled early during the evening. #374

I went to Nantucket Grill with a large group. For the most part, we loved it. Most of us ordered the prime rib and wow it is decadent. Our server was good and kept our drinks filled. We did have one little problem. We ordered cake and instead of telling me they were running low on the cake I ordered, they brought me a slice of cake that had been sliced in half. Everyone was joking and laughing at my puny cake. If they had asked, I could have easily changed my order because all of their cakes are good.
