Papa John’s Pizza

Order a pick up and found out that the pizza was doughy when i got home! You know that feeling when you are hungry and craving pizza and found out the pizza is undercook. Very disappointed.

Giving it one star due to terrible customer service. The delivery driver knocked on my door very loud, i opened the door, he gave me my pizza and left without saying a word. it felt more like a drug deal.

ALERT: CHEESEBURGER PIZZA IS DISGUSTING !!!
Let me start by saying I normally love father jon’s pizza. This new product is a franchise ruining, toxic mixture that «mimics» the offspring of a pizza & cheeseburger. Now in theory it sounds good, in theory. The sauce base appears to be ketchup & mustard mixed together, looks like 1000 island dressing, or big mac’s special sauce. This disturbed me, as I hate 1000 island dressing. The rest of the family had similar reviews. Much like papa johns spokesman Peyton Manning let down the city of Denver & his team, this pizza matches Peyton’s superbowl performance; ugly, hard to swallow, & unable to finish. Don’t waste your time or hard earned dollars on this belly bomb! No disrespect father, but this pizza has put a black eye on your whole brand.

Since there was an ice storm brewing outside, I decided to stay in my hotel in jammies, flip on the BCS title game, check on some work docs, and order Pizza for dinner. Yay!
I love Papa John’s pizza. Totally prefer it over Pizza Hut and Domino’s.
I called PJ for delivery. The person who answered the call was cool (think name Becky). She was professional and got the order right on the FIRST try. very impressive. 5 stars for her.
For dinner, they had a large special for $ 8.99. I ordered the works. Best bang for the buck man! By the way, I remember when I could order $ 5 pizzas — granted, it was during my college days in the mid 90s.
In addition, I ordered a side of hot wings.
They told me that the order would take an hour; however, it came here much earlier — like 30 minutes. I give it 5 stars for the driver to make it out that quick and also through an ice storm. He deserves that at least. Gave him a nice tip…
Now… the pizza was very good. The «healthy» garlic sauce (pun intended) was awesome. I wished they gave me more sauce. So disappointing here. Also, I wished they had more green pepper too. yum yum yum. I give this a solid 4.5 (demotion due to insuffient garlic butter sauce and peppers).
Now, the wings were kinda puny and the sauce was not that great. I was very disappointed in the wings. This was definitely a 2.5 stars or lower. Note to self, don’t order the wings.
Overall, I give this a solid 4 stars. If the wings were better, it would have easily been high 4s or a 5.

If you want it, there’s probably one near you; anywhere. Saturday night I needed a quick dinner and pizza was it. Every now and then Papa John’s leaves a sticker on my door, which usually gets placed on my fridge. It doesn’t hurt that they’re less than a mile from my apt. Called them up and asked what specials they had. I even told them what I was looking for and they had a special for it. Pretty damn good if you ask me. It was almost as if they created a meat lover’s pizza special for me.
Probably not, but let me keep thinking that a large meat lover’s special was customized please. $ 10.88. Score! Give it 15 – 20 min. On a Saturday? Awesome! 20 minutes later, after a Walmart run, I stopped in to pick up my pizza. Let me tell ya, it was packed with people pickin’ up their pies! The wait wasn’t bad though. The girl found my pizza, I paid in cash, and I was out the door.
Papa John’s takeout on a Saturday night = perfection for quick pizza. This ain’t no Mellow Mushroom or gourmet NYC slices, but it’s good for me! Heated up for lunch the following Monday = almost just as good. Cheers!
