Dan at this Pep Boys location was a savior! I have one of those ridiculous Fidelty Car Care Service Plans, and I was told by their Customer Service that Pep Boys takes their coupons. Well, apparently, they don’t and the system at Pep Boys wasn’t letting Dan redeem the coupon, even after he called Customer Service himself! What hassle! Dan was such a nice guy… he could tell how upset and distressed I was because my car was in dire need of an oil change/​some maintenance. He offered to cover this oil change package for me free of charge. What outstanding service! I will definitely be coming back in the future!!!

I went into this Pep Boys at 7:20 PM to get my car inspected. Being from out of state and never having had an NC car inspection, I figured it was a quick thing and I’d be out well before their closing time of 8. Turns out it takes about 45 minutes. I was about to just leave and come back the next day, yet they did my inspection that night and were super nice about it.
While I waited for the inspection, I wandered around the store and had a nice conversation with an employee. She was avery willing to help me and answered any random question I had. Great service.

The staff here is great! Considerate and friendly! And my car runs exactly as it should when I leave. They are honest with their recommendations and are not pushy. I highly recommend this location for all your auto needs!

Another solid job from the guys at Pep Boys. Special thanks to Jeremy at the service counter who I spoke with both times at drop off and pick up. He instilled confidence that the job would be done right and he and his team delivered. At pick up, Jeremy explained the diagnostic and what was fixed. Very much appreciated the service I received today!

Terrible experience at this Pep Boys! First, I was left standing back at the parts counter for 10 minutes before I walked off to help MYSELF… A few minutes later someone finally acknowledged I wasn’t invisible. I tell him what I’m looking for and we head back to the parts counter. He plugs in the info and tells me that it would be better to get the part (a washer) at the dealership or if in a hurry he could suggest a generic one… I should have listened to his computer… the next morning I have oil all over my driveway… eeerr my landlords driveway because the washer he suggested wasn’t even close nor crushable…
The moral of my review is to always go to the dealership you bought your car at for your DYI parts.

So far we have only gotten a few routine jobs done but everything has been done in a reasonable time at a reasonable price. The service I get is fantastic and the team is knowledgeable, explaining my car issues/​trouble in an appropriate manner for my feeble brain.
I mainly go here on Saturday mornings for convenience. I drop the car off for a routine inspection or oil change, walk to Fitness Connection at the next shopping center over, get in a great workout then pick up my beast.

I love the service I receive here. Joel in particular is very knowledgeable, friendly and flexible.
We’ve been here a few times now and they are very prompt with getting us an appointment and letting us know when our car is ready. Prices are comparable to competitors if not slightly higher. However, I’m willing to pay for consistent, reliable service that reassures me I’m driving a safe vehicle. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking to get their car fixed up!

The service manager Joel Batista was great. He took time to explain the problems with our vehicle and details of the work to be done. After doing some price shopping, he worked with us to get the best price. He was pleasant to work with and made sure we had quality service.

I took my vehicle here back in the Spring, mostly out of necessity. It was the closest auto shop, and I had a dying battery and some brake issues to address.
The first visit was mediocre. They eventually charged me a couple hundred more than their «rough estimate» for my brake line issue, which made me grumpy but I didn’t really have a choice in the matter. The guy at the counter was at least friendly.
The brakes they slapped on my vehicle were incredibly cheap, and they squealed every time I pressed the pedal down. It was so loud that I called and asked if they would look at them to make sure they were installed properly. The manager on the phone assured me they would, and at no charge to me.
I brought the vehicle back. Waited for what felt like an eternity (2 – 3 hours) for someone to give my brakes a cursory inspection. When it was over, the same previously friendly guy at the counter (who already seemed to be in a much more sour mood than our previous encounters) told me my brakes were fine, and that I could upgrade to better pads if I wanted for extra money. I declined, stating my primary concern was just making sure they were safe. He rang me up for a «brake inspection fee,» which I don’t recall the price of right off hand but was somewhere in the neighborhood of the high teens or mid-​twenties.
I politely told him that the person I spoke with on the phone assured me there would be no charge. His mood immediately turned even darker, and he paced around behind the counter looking for my keys. Once he found them, he tossed them roughly on the counter toward me, said angrily, «You know what? Sure, that’s fine by me,» and went back to his work with another customer.
It was one of those situations where something incredibly rude and unexpected happens, and you just kind of walk away in a state of mild shock. So, rather than the what-​for the guy deserved, I’ll settle for this belated review to warn others to steer their business elsewhere.

Took my car to replace rear struts and cv axle. The staff was extremely professional and helpful. Clean waiting room and service desk. Did the job for less $ than they estimated us. Didn’t try to upsell or pressure us. Honest people here, quality work. My car rides great! We will be back!

4 hours to change a tire and the car hasnt made it into the bay yet. they further stripped the lug. I took it to a european autoworks in morrisville and it was fixed in 30 minutes. no damage to the tire, rim, etc. $ 50.

I was having car issues and I could not figure out what the problem was! I was referred to Pep Boys, and they did a diagnostic which normally is supposed to cost somewhere around $ 50. Boone let me know that the issue that my car was having was probably an electronic issue and that the dealer needed to check it out. He didn’t make me pay for the diagnostic– AND he was right! A fix that I feared would have cost 500+ dollars (and probably would have if diagnosed incorrectly), only cost about $ 80. Great customer service!
