Fast and friendly service with a nice atmosphere. Approximately the same price as McDonalds but with higher quality and less food for the price.

My MaleFriend and I were excited to hear about this Egyptian Restaurant in Downtown Raleigh? No! No! No NOT Egyptian! Great Hot Dogs! Cheap Lunch! Inspired names for burgers and Hot Dogs! We spent a small fraction of an hour here on our 5+ hour tour of the Museum! The Restaurant has a cool Diner look and Tables you can sit and Eat + more seating in the Glassed in Terrace that looks out to the Romantic Courtyard between Buildings! My Friend and I enjoyed sitting eating and talking before finishing our tour! He also got some Fries and I ate about half of them. in comparison with fries, He and I have been to Mackers to get Fries more than anywhere and the fries here will neither make my «lonely Fries» Unilocal list though I did not expect them to be that good anyway! The Hot Dogs are Very Good!

I’m a fan of Pharaoh’s yet today was a bad day at the usually good business. Walked in ordered the combo and was informed the fountains were not working. Beverage choices were water or iced tea. To my surprise sweet tea was not but made but they offered Sweet and Low to add to regular tea… NOTHANKS. then they were out of ketchup(basically this is a burger place with no ketchup). Finally no straws. AND I forgot to mention the trash cans were overflowing and the flies were very happy. As a fan of Pharaoh’s I must ask… what happened?

Came here after visiting the museum — food was ok, but nothing to write home about for the price. The staff were friendly kids and the place clean, just nothing remarkable about it. If you like burgers/fries/hot dogs and other such diner food, it’s not bad. For those seeking healthier fare, options are limited. Otherwise, not a bad place.

Came here with my kids for the first time. After putting in my order, I handed the cashier my credit card. She said it was no charge because the manager told her to comp the meal. I was speechless. What a wonderful surprise(especially around the holidays). Food was great. My chicken sandwich was delicious and my kids loved their grilled cheese. We will be back.

Bad expensive frozen food. Remember way back when airlines use to serve meals and the joke was about how bad it was. Well this food is a step below that airline food of yesteryear Highly recommend u don’t eat here Update. While I was writing this review the manager a well dressed chap saw my daughter was not eating her chicken sandwich. And sat down and ask her if it was OK. She said it taste funny. He ask if he could get something else. She said no and he promptly got up and brought my money back. And gave us both ice cream. You could tell he really cared about his customers and if they were enjoying the food. I was going to give this 1 star but because of the service of the Manager I raised it to a 3 star, but that still not not help how bad both the burger and chicken sandwidch was.

Hamburger 101 — do not press down on burgers. They lose all juices, where the flavor comes from, not to mention moistness. Two stars were given based on service and taste of one item only. I work across the plaza from Pharaoh’s and finally gave it a try today. Walking in, I asked the cashier/order taker what the potato bites were. Not only could I not hear her, she basically made a circle with both thumbs and index fingers, and that was all. She asked someone I assume to be a manager to explain, and he had to ask her to repeat her quiet question. He gave a much better explanation of a hush-puppy-like potato cake with cheese and stuff inside. Sounded great but too heavy for a quick lunch. I ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and onion, with ketchup and mayo on the side. I cringed everytime I saw the cook press down hard on my burger with a spatula but hoped for the best. Alas, my burger was dry when I ate it just 5-minutes later at my desk. The condiments were fresh and tasty though. I’m willing to give another menu item a try, or ask that my hamburger not be punished, since I work so close and it’s accessible on rainy days through the garage. Will update review at such time.

Talk about a fast, good place to get some simple food for lunch. I am definitely a fan of Pharaoh’s @ the museum of History in downtown Raleigh. This place has classic North Carolina dinner food, good french fries, and breakfast foods. YUM! And they even have dank ice(you know the little tiny crushed kind). If you work in downtown, check out this place for a good lunch. Added benefit: they donate a portion of their proceeds to the museum.
