Philly’s saved our marriage… or at least a fight out of hanger. Thank you. Bread was super soft, both chicken and steak were cooked perfectly. Great way to prevent either of us from saying somethin we would regard later. Philly’s was a great addition to the Raleigh Brewery’s patio on a spring afternoon.

Love the warm gooey cheese! Fries are great too. Loved the truck had the forethought to bring a tent since rain was possible.

Don’t have time to drive to Philadelphia for an authentic cheesesteak? Never fear, Philly’s is here. Hands down the best cheesesteak south of Philly. It’s always a great time to come out to the truck and order a cheesesteak. Don’t sleep on the cheese fries, they’re good to the last bite! This is the only cheesesteak I will eat outside of Philadelphia. Go check them out at one of their stops. Philly’s Cheesesteaks, and my addiction to their food, is the real deal.

Delicious Philly Cheesesteaks! On this most recent visit I ordered a Cheesesteak with American cheese, onions, mushrooms and sweet peppers and a side of Fries. This is a lot of food, I had enough for lunch and dinner. I read that 8 inches ins’t long enough so they give you 10, just read the sign when you order. Also, quick service for being made to order!

Meh. Always excited to try new food trucks, but this one disappointed. Visited Philly’s at Raleigh Brewing last weekend. I did not go outside to order so I can’t speak to the reviews that criticize or compliment the owner and staff. I thought the fries were great — hot and just the right combination of crispy and tender, but it tasted like Hunts or a cheap ketchup and I’m a bit of a ketchup snob. I ordered the chicken philly and while it was a generous portion(ok, more than generous as I took half home) and served hot, it did not have a whole lot of flavor. I ended up adding mustard just to give it some taste. Pricing was a bit high for a sandwich but probably inline with food truck pricing. Sadly, this is one I would not go out of my way to visit again.

Awful experience. I waited about 20 minutes before I got my cheesesteak and fries, which would not have been a huge deal if the manager(I believe) wasn’t so rude and unprofessional about it. I will not be returning. If you are looking for an awesome food truck I would recommend Valentino’s!

Very clean operation to my surprise. The owner is extremely nice and the cheesesteak was delightful. Glad I hit this place up while on the go. They are at the Marathon service station in Five Points every Friday evening. You won’t be disappointed.

Growing up near Philly, a good cheesesteak is hard to find down here, but this is the real deal. The owner is awesome, the food is awesome, the whole dang experience is awesome. I have no regrets going back for a second sandwich… that one time…

Pretty good cheesesteak. The man taking my order was the highlight of my experience. Super nice, very friendly guy. My cheesesteak was yummy, but not something i’m thinking about the next week. Glad I tried it though. A little pricey as you do have to pay extra for some things that are typically included in your cheesesteak.

Yum, yum, yummy! We found the food truck located at Raleigh Brewery. I was excited my husband and I haven’t had a good cheese steak in years and Philly’s was about to change that. We did have a minor problem. We put in our order and waited for 10 – 15 minutes and saw other people getting there food but not us. So we went up and asked. They never put our order in. One of the workers was new and handed us our order slip and didn’t give it to the kitchen. Not a big deal they said it would be 4 minutes and they would have our food. A few minutes later they delivered us our cheese steak to the table and fries were on them. The bread was amazing, steak was great, and we opted for American cheese and loved every bite! We will be seeking them out again in the near future.

SOGOOD. Miss when it used to be parked outside of Lucky B’s at night! Highly recommend the plain cheesesteak. I hear good things about the fries, too, but have never partaken myself.

First off — fries were excellent. Hot and crispy outside and creamy on the inside. Not over salted. Very good. Sandwich itself was, meh. Meat was okay but the«toppings,» even though I opted for all of them(onion, mushrooms, sweet pepper at $.35 each) were almost non-existent. The toppings add to the overall experience of the sandwich and really this was just bread, meat, and some, again — not very much, cheese. Pretty pricey for the offering — $ 13 for sandwich and fries.

There are 3 things that put this food truck above the rest for me, as far as food trucks and Philly Cheesesteak’s are concerned. 1. The Owner/Operator 2. The bread 3. The lack of grease dripping all over the place I opted for the provolone instead of the cheese wiz after the owner suggested it, and I’m glad I did. I also got the onions and mushrooms on the sandwich, plus I ordered the fries with cheese. They were both great! About the cheesesteak, I didn’t realize it until afterwards, but something was different, and then I figured out. After all the cheesesteaks I’ve had in the past, my hands are dripping with grease, and the wrapper is covered in grease/drippings. This had absolutely none of that, and that is perfect. As far as the bread… It might sound funny to focus on the bread when biting into a cheesesteak, but it really does make a difference. When you bite into it, there’s no struggle, no bite, rip, and tear. You simply bite right into it, and the bread becomes part of the cheesesteak sandwich, not a distraction – nice, light, and fluffy. Overall, this place is great, and I would recommend it to anyone in the mood for a Philly Cheesteak.

Food trucks are fun. I grew up in South Korea and street food is in my genes. I’m a military brat and have had the good fortune of having a real Philly Cheesesteak from Philly. FINALLY I got that taste back last night. The food truck was at Bombshell in Holly Springs(a cool new hangout and brewery). A full half pound of freshly cooked beef, onions cut thick and sautéed JUST right, mushrooms grilled to perfection, real Provolone, soft and chewy philly bread.. .I’m drooling now just from remembering. This will be a truck I will follow for sure. The fries were good too. I’m not a fan of Wiz so I did not get the cheese fries. The men who ran the truck were fun to talk to. Great customer service. Guys, THANK you for bringing a taste of Philly to the South.

My friends know I love food trucks, and frequently text me asking about a specific food truck before they try it out. My man D, the owner of this fine truck, has the best Philly in North Cackalack. He gets his bread from Philly. His veggies, if you want them, are fresh cut each day. Cheese… yes, you have options consisting of traditional cheese whiz, provolone, or American. I always get American, because ‘Murica. His cheese fries a crispy and cheesy and full of delicious calories. To make this experience even better, the owner is just a really nice guy, and he keeps a very clean truck. I love food trucks, but some of these trucks look like you are eating off the back of an El Camino that just got finished hauling mulch 3 hours prior. Try the truck, they are one of the few with a regular downtown Raleigh presence, and hang out and have a conversation with the owner… tell him Wes sent you.

Stopped by this place last night for the first time. I had heard good things, I meet the owner, Damien, totally cool guy. Like the girl before me was saying, they get the rolls from Philly, not only that though, you get a HALFPOUNDOFRIBEYESTEAK! It was awesome, I usually get mayo on my cheesesteaks, but didn’t need or want it on this one, it was nice and juicy. Best Philly around, and best truck food EVER! Do yourself a favor and try these guys, you won’t regret it!

There’s a good cheesesteak place in Raleigh!!! This spot is legit. Everything is made fresh to order. Rolls shipped from philly. Great steak. Cheese options: provolone, American or, of course, Wiz! Super friendly owner. Definitely worth tracking down this truck!

Stopped by a few min before opening on a Saturday night and they were kind enough to open up and make us a cheesesteak that hit the spot: not greasy, good bread, and tasty meat and provolone. A delicious and totally unexpected treat!
