Definitely not impressed. Whoever decided that there should only be two people on staff on a 70 degree sunny Sunday was crazy and needs to be fired. The line was about twenty families deep and it took about 45 minutes to get a steak wrap and an order of nachos. When I asked if it was possible to get their turkey sandwich made on a wrap I was very rudely told«No. We don’t have time to do complicated orders. We’re busy»…I understand they were swamped and the two staff members were under a lot of pressure(thanks to crappy scheduling by the higher ups no doubt) but no need to snap at someone over something so tiny. When we finally got our meal my wrap had one strip of steak in it about the size of my index finger and the nachos were burnt. I wanted to take our food back(the wrap was $ 8 and the nachos $ 6 I believe. This didn’t include sides or a drink) but just as I got up the manager came out from the back, apologized for the wait, told everyone it wasn’t going to get any quicker and to hold any complaints until they get through all the orders because she had no time to talk now… It was weird(and the people sharing our table thought so too) but I guess the manager was just as aware how riduclous everything was so… Yay? If this is how Pullen Place is going to operate than they seriously need to get out of this prime location(seriously, Pullen Park is beautiful and always packed on sunny days like this) and let someone in who knows how to serve quality food without an insane wait.

A nice place to get a bite while at this terrific park. The food is not awesome and it’s expensive. The service is friendly and there are nice tables outside at which to eat. There is no inside dining. Good for a quick snack while at the park with kids.

This is my first Unilocal review and unfortunately it is not a great one. We just ate there for the the Christmas event and their normal taste was not up to par. The hot dogs tasted odd and we threw two away because they were not edible. I got the chili which had good flavor but the jalapeño mug five had no taste o cheese or jalapeño, it was just bland. I really wanted one of their burgers but there wasn’t any on the menu. I hope it was just an anomaly and will be back.

Yesterday, as I strolled through Pullen Park to enjoy the beautiful summer weather, I came across Pullen Place. I could not have been more thrilled with my find. Pullen Place is a quaint little café offering wonderful, friendly service and fresh, delicious food. As a burger lover, I ordered the cheddar bacon burger. I am quite picky when it comes to burgers, but this one was juicy, well-seasoned and overall fantastic! It was not overdone and dry, like many of my recent burgers elsewhere, but cooked to perfection with the juices sealed inside for a wonderful taste! Additionally, I tried the tasty fresh-squeezed lemonade. It was a perfect and pleasant combination of sweet and tart, and very refreshing in the heat of the summer day. A large sign displayed outside the facility reads, «FRESH», and fresh is exactly what you’ll enjoy in eating at Pullen Place.

The food was really good, but the wait was ridiculous. The process they have for taking and delivering orders is terrible. The manager did come around and ask for suggestions to upgrade their service, so hopefully it will get better.

A lovely spot to dine outdoors at the renovated Pullen Park, no less(from 10 a.m. — 6 p.m.) with generous locally-sourced foods on the menu. Ordered at the window: baked sweet potato(hold the brown sugar; yes please on the butter) macaroni and cheese(simple dish — good for kids) chili(piping hot, a balanced kick of spices — yummy on a chilly day) chicken apple melt(perfectly seasoned and loaded with ingredients) Tea, hot chocolate or cider, coffee, fresh squeezed lemonade or water to drink(No sodas or beer). Will return with colleagues soon for a working lunch as there is free WIFI!

Great for sandwiches and salads. Locally-made bratwurst from Farmhand sausages was excellent. Menu has a great range of options including peanut butter sandwiches with local jam, hummus with pita points, spinach/arugula salad, hot dogs and hamburgers. Dining is al fresco in a historic Raleigh park that is very close to downtown. I will be back for lunch.
