As a former New Jersean, New York Style pizza is something that I’m quite familiar with. I’m thrilled to have a place so close to home that actually succeeds in making a decent pizza. Our favorite is to have a chicken parm pizza made on a white pie. Regular pies are pretty good. They have a nice crust and the sauce to cheese ratio is always right. The garlic knots aren’t very good. Kind of dry and a little too big. Maybe if they reduced the size and cooking time they wouldn’t come out that way? Garlic knots are a favorite for me and I almost always get them, but after 5 – 6 times of being underwhelmed with them, we have stopped getting them. You WILL need the side of sauce they come with. If that’s no problem for you, go for it, but not my preference. We ordered from them this afternoon, and they got to us in under thirty minutes… The ideal speed! Delivery drivers are usually pretty good, but late in December we had a driver that SCREAMED that we were the 300th order of the day and went on with a «this is sparta» type chanting of our order. It scared the crap out of me. He also was using a fake Russian accent which made no sense. He said his boss asked him to do it, and I remarked that he should definitely tell his boss that he’s not doing that anymore. That was a really weird experience, but maybe they won’t do really weird stuff anymore after reading this.

Everybody’s extremely nice there, all Yankees,(go Yankees), and pizza is delicious, authentic, NY-style pizza.

For me. This was not worthy of more than 1 star. It didn’t have the flavor I am used to in NY style pizza. we had pepperoni and mushroom, and the mushrooms were clumped in 2 spots. There were a couple of slices that didn’t have either topping. It was pizza and it was«okay» so I’ll give it a star. But I won’t be back. Would rather have Mellow Mushroom or a dozen other pizza places before this one.

Had to get food catered for a soccer team. Sergios stepped up and all the food was excellent and price was right! Pizza, sausage and peppers, eggplant, chicken. all the team and parents enjoyed the food. Job well done.

Great pizza, great people. Real NY pizza, the owner is a New Yorker. Also not too many places around here deliver. Keep up the great work!

Coming from NJ I’m always skeptical when places say they are NY or NJ pizza, but this place NAILS it! I’ve been here several times and every time it’s consistently awesome! Their buffalo chicken pizza ROCKS!!! So glad this is close to home! Just glad it’s not any closer or else I’d be in BIGTROUBLE!

I was skeptical when ordering from a place that claims it is NY style, but I have to say it comes somewhat close… My 5 stars is for the customer service I have received the last three times I have ordered, pizza was hot when delivered and the driver was really professional! I will also say I do love the Grandma pizza with half pepperoni and half sausage, it is my favorite and I have order it each time, the crust and seasoning is perfect! I haven’t yet tried anything else just yet, but when I do I will update you…

We had lunch there today. Floors dirty door dirty. Benches dirty. Meatball sub not good ! Four meatball on a roll, lots of roll !!! Meatballs have no flavor might be frozen ! Pizza dough good. But not the best ! We are from New England and would not find this pizza or sub there !!! We will not go back. Must say the person taking our order was very pleasant!

We ordered from here while at a brewery that they deliver to. We ordered a Grandma’s Pizza with half sausage and half pepperoni. The other couple with us ordered a regular pizza, half cheese and half pepperoni. We were told it would be about 45 minutes. Took more like 75, so we were good and ready for it when it finally arrived. Delivery guy was friendly and apologetic. As for the pizza itself, honestly it was more of a 2-star for me. Lots of grease with little to no flavor and not the best ingredients… even the sauce didn’t thrill me with the dried herbs in it. Husband however, liked it better than I did. Even though he wasn’t jumping up and down, he felt it warranted more than 2-stars, and since he’s the one eating the leftovers, I will bow to his judgement. The other couple said theirs was okay and they polished it off, but said they prefer others. I agree.

We are from Jersey, and finding a NY pizza place here is such a chore! This was a true find, and even better that they deliver. We usually have their pizza, but love their calzones and chicken parm too. I prefer more garlic on my garlic knots and garlic bread, but all I have to do is ask for extra, and I am good to go. We were so excited to find this place(recommended by our new neighbor). Only downfall is the delivery time is always 45 minutes, no matter when you call, but hey isn’t that the same as everyone else anyway?

We decided to try something new and saw good reviews for Sergio’s. We called and The guy who answered the phone talked so fast we couldn’t understand him and he immediately put us on hold. We figured that they were really busy so we decided to go in hoping to get our food faster. When we arrived we were not greeted and instead had 9 employees simply staring at us! 9! There was one other customer in the place sitting and eating. I had to say hello first and they made it seem like we were bothering them. They were out of garlic knots and some types of pizza even though there were more than enough employees standing around. We ordered and the total was more than we would have paid for if we were in NY! After waiting 10 min for our pizza to heat up we finally left. The garlic knots were anything but. They were dry dough and nothing else. The pizza was just as dry and you couldn’t even tell there was sauce. I definitely won’t ever go back after that experience.

My husband and I just moved down to the Raleigh area and we knew it was going to be hard to find a decent NY style pizza. We found Sergio’s by reviews on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Their pizza is great and pretty classic NY style pizza. Growing up near the Jersey Shore and NY, we are particular about pizza and we really liked theirs. I gave 3 stars because it’s not the best pizza I’ve ever had, but for this area I think it’s great! Still looking for THEBEST place around, this may be it, but not sure yet!

Simple pizza joint with amazing pizza! The marinara sauce is delicious. Perhaps the best pizza I’ve had in Raleigh. Highly recommend the garlic knot pizza. Yum!

We were having a spontaneous family gathering and looked for take out nearby. Sergio’s had fantastic ratings and I’m a garlic knot addict, so we were pretty confident in ordering a few things to share between the five of us. Our first clue that things weren’t going well should have been the fact that we had to keep asking the person on the phone to repeat himself because he mumbled. Our next hint should have been that he repeated things back incorrectly and we had to repeat the items on the order several times. This oh-so-difficult order? 1 order of garlic knots 1 large meat lover’s pizza with anchovies 1 chicken parmesan dinner, replace included bread with garlic knots,(extra $$), house dressing on salad. What we ended up with? 1 order of garlic knots 1 large meat lover’s pizza with anchovies 1 chicken marsala dinner, no bread, no knots, and no dressing at all on the salad. The garlic knots were fair, a little too heavy, like the dough hadn’t risen properly before it was divided. And because they didn’t do the substitution that was confirmed over the phone, we didn’t have enough for everyone to have one. The pizza was excellent. The entrée was a disappointment to the people who had their mouths set for parmesan or who don’t really care for mushrooms. It was good, but it wasn’t what we ordered. Would I order from Sergio’s again? If I was up that way and needed a pizza, probably. Anything else and I would check my order much more carefully when I picked it up.

Delicious lunch. I picked up and took lunch to eat with a friend, but the lunch buffet looked great. Our food was wonderful and was placed into take out dishes with care. Highly recommend. The only problem I have is that none of their menu options(website, hand-held) provide information on ingredients and toppings for the dishes or pizza choices. Ie: Grandma’s pizza — what comes on that? Hard to make a choice of the several options offered if you don’t know what they are made of. You have to call or appear and ask. Food was awesome and service with a smile!

Been over 2 years since my last review on Sergio’s and it has only gotten better. The knots are still second to none and I dare say they have the best foldable thin crust NY Pizza in the Triangle. You owe it to yourself to give them a try, your inner Italian will thank you !

There is sadness in my heart as I write about Sergio’s Pizza. Sergio’s, of the delicious spinach salad with sweet candied walnuts and tangy vinaigrette. Sergio’s, of the amazing meat lovers pizza with slabs of authentic Italian sausage and spicy pepperoni. Sergio’s, of the most buttery, garlic-drenched garlic knots on the planet. Sergio’s, where I realized after ordering two single slices, that you can actually get a pizza where the whole crust is the aforementioned succulent garlic knots!!! The sadness comes from the fact that this was such an amazing pizza joint, and it is SIX hours from home! We were in Raleigh for a wedding and may never get back. Heartbreaking. Sergio’s…let’s not say goodbye, just arrivederci.

I love Sergio’s Pizza. It’s small, located in a strip mall, and surrounded by questionable establishment(although I do frequent the Korean dry cleaner there), but it does it’s job. The serve consistent pizza there and the offerings seem to change pretty regularly. I usually opt for something that includes garlic knots because they are simply that good. Other than that, you really can’t go wrong. The pizza is all thin crust like any New York pizza joint should be, but they give you some options for other styles. If you’re in the area, swing by this place. It’s good and they could always use the business. Besides, they have some outdoor seating in the summer.
