I had the falafel sandwich and added red pepper jelly. OMG it was so delicious! Fresh! The falafel was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection as well. Friendly staff. You wait a bit for the food because they cook it to order… which is how it should be. I will definitely be going back!

Great food! I usually get the chicken or lamb gyro. The lamb is very tasty. They’ll make your gyro and salad in any way you want it. If you want a steak and cheese on pita bread, you got it! Today I branched out from my normal gyro and got a cheeseburger, and it was perfect! I like it well done, and it was perfectly well done. Great place!

The hummus was very salty and the tabbouli was not fresh at all. the parsley was wilted probably because it was drowning in liquid. The grape leaves were okay but very mushy — the rice was way over cooked but the flavor was good. And they didn’t have lebneh(Greek yogurt dipping sauce for grape leaves.) Like a few other restaurants I’ve been to they give you tzatziki sauce instead. The chicken kabob was good and the manager was nice. The restaurant was clean. I’ve noticed that Greek /middle eastern /Lebanese food around here varies greatly in style. For a basis of comparison the way I like these foods prepared is how Neomonde off Beryl Rd in Raleigh does it. The hummus is thicker and not salty, the tabbouli is always super fresh, light and not drowned in liquid though it’s not«dry» and has little bulgur wheat(the whitish specks.) Their grape leaves have a much better/firmer rice mixture and comes with lebneh. So all in all not a «bad experience» so to say but I am accustomed to a different style.

I enjoy eating here 2 – 3 times a week. The staff are super friendly and have taken the time on multiple occasions to do the little things to keep me coming back for me. Occasionally offering a dessert or thanking me for my business. On my last trip they offered up a cup of sweet tea to a customer for a taste test. They care about their customers and it shows.

Just had a super yummy lunch here! The gyro was great and my friend“s tabouli looked amazing. Love the staff! They are very friendly and accommodating. And the baklava was so fresh and tasty! Sounds like they are branching out into catering too. Can’t wait to try them for our next lunch meeting.

Terrible experience at this restaurant. I ordered«veggie kabob» and said it three times, because it wasn’t on the menu and I wanted to be sure they could make it for me. The girl behind the counter said that they would charge me for the«veggie plate» so I said sure. When she brought me the food, it was two falafel. I said«I ordered a veggie kabob» and she said«this s our veggie kabob.» Huh? There are no veggies on the plate. «We call it our veggie platter and you get two falafel.» After saying about five more times that I asked for the«veggie kabob» and getting nowhere, she said«do you want a veggie sandwich?» Mind you I was the only customer in the store. It isn’t like they were pressed for time. My order was the only one they had to make. They apparently think a veggie kabob = veggie plate = falafel. I told her I don’t eat falafels, she never offered to give me something else, give me my money back, or make any other accommodation. She just walked away. If I wasn’t so hungry, I would have asked for my money back. I also was not given any plastic silverware or napkins. She said that it was«self serve» in the back of the store. Is not like they had anything else to do. So I had to gather all my belongings(I was sitting outside and didn’t want to leave them unattended), walk back into the store and get silverware and napkins. Terrible service, she could care less. The food was awful. The small greek salad was fresh but so drenched in dressing that I couldn’t taste anything else. And the falafel — I am not a big falafel fan but these were as hard as hockey pucks and had about ½ inch of fried breading on. They were over-fried and so dry I could barely chew them. Not coming back here. The bottle of Amstel beer was good however.(Although, I did ask for a can and she gave me a bottle instead…) They need to get some help that gives a damn.

Excellent bbq and great collards! Extremely friendly people. Nothing fancy at all but just plain excellent food! If you are hungry for good old Eastern NC pork bbq you can’t go wrong. I have eaten here many times and have not had anything I didn’t like yet. I would give the food alone a five star

The food generally tastes good, but they can be verrrry slow. Some of the cooks know to butterfly the kafta kabobs, others just throw it on straight from the freezer/cooler/whatever it is, and it takes 15 minutes to cook and the outside is often over done and very dry. One guy was cooking my kafta kabob and he kept mashing on it with his spatula to make it go faster. Needless to say, with all the juices squeezed out it was tough as leather and nearly inedible. So umm thinking about it, perhaps just avoid the kafta kabobs and it’ll be pretty good heh. Oh the other downside is it’s rather expensive, as others have noted. But the ingredients are good and it seems healthier than alternatives so I don’t mind paying a bit more.

The food was good but incredibly expensive. I got the beef kebab that came with one side and pita bread. As my side I got hummus so one skewer and a side of hummus for $ 8.50. I ended up having to order more pita bread and got two pieces of falafel because it just wasn’t enough food. With a drink I spent close to $ 14. The gyro sandwiches are your best bang for the buck so I’ll probably do that next time or I’ll go for lunch as a kebab skewer and hummus is half the price of what I spent for dinner.

Not a ton of options here, but they got some good stuff with a quick turnaround… Good for grab-n-go or even a quick sit-down lunch. Staff is always friendly. Try the lamb! It’s the best.

Was one of my favorite places locally for a very nice and quick meal. The people were friendly and knew how to cook their menu. Went there 11÷2÷14 and it is likely my last trip. New staff. The retro gal doing the cooking burned our gyro meat and spent more time talking than cooking. She was trying to be Chef Tell and do about 5 orders at once. She does not have the skill for that. Even worse, the place was filthy. There were 2 clean tables, food all over the floors and the trash was packed full and popping out of the little hole on the top. Don’t know who the owner is but he better get some adult supervision for this crew or watch his customers dribble off.

This restaurant used to be one of my favorite places. Their food is very fresh and very tasty… although for what you you get i’ve always thought it was pricy. I usually get the Phoenician Platter which is 2 kabobs you can pick from Chicken, Lamb or Beef. You also get to pick from 3 sides… all of which are delicious in my opinion. 14 Dollars… a pretty penny. So what happened to for me to give them only 2 stars? Well after being a loyal customer since they opened I went up last night and got my normal«Phoenician Platter» to go. When I got home I opened the box to see the tinfoil they wrapped the meat in… and thought«that looks really small… did they forget one of the kabobs?» Puzzled I opened the tinfoil and they were both there… but the portions of the meat were literally half of what they normally give you. Same two kabobs, same price… half the meat! Ughhh. If there is anything I hate it’s when a business gets you liking their product then they half the amount while still charging you just as much as always… hoping you won’t notice. Well I noticed. I won’t go there again. I thought they were a bit over priced before… now I just see their prices as astronomical. If you want a small amount of tasty food for a large price… this is your place.

We love this place! We have been big fans of Greek Fiesta for the past couple of years and Shish Kabob is closer to our house so we recently tried them out. Their hummus, falafel, and Greek salad are all very very good! It’s become one of my new favorite places to get quick and tasty mediterranean food!

Been several times for a quick dinner when everyone else wanted Handy Kitchen or Subway in the same strip. Good meal-sized gyros and tasty sides. If the Thurston Moore look-a-like is doing the prep, keep an eye on your order if you requested any deviations from the norm. He tends to forget them if there is anyone behind you. Greek salad tends to get a ton of dressing.

Sister restaurant to the downtown Raleigh location, I was craving some Mediterranean and gave it a shot tonight. Located in a strip mall there’s seating for about 20 people. You order at the counter, watch as they customize your platter with the sides and toppings, and then settle in to eat. They were pretty busy so I had high hopes when I walked in, lots of customers is a good thing. Unfortunately things really didn’t worked for me. The service was super slow, not sure if they were training a new cook or what, but it all seemed very methodical and not in a good way. I got a platter to sample three kabobs(they serve three platters, with one, two, & three kabobs respectively.) The chicken & kofta kabobs just tasted bland and the kofta was super dry. The lamb kabob was by the far the best and I would say that was pretty good. That said, you had to pay $ 1 extra to get the lamb kabob(guess you get what you pay for.) The platter came with three sides and I went with hummus, baba ghanoug, and stuffed grape leaves. The hummus was good as well as the grape leaves(highlight of the meal). While they have some great specials(one a day) and $ 4.95 sandwiches at lunch, my dinner definitely wasn’t cheap at $ 15.00. Sure, I had three kabobs and three sides which sounds like a lot but that definitely wasn’t enough to share and I finished it without a problem(hey, I was hungry, okay?!) If ½ stars were possible I’d give this 2.5 as it wasn’t completely bad, there were bright spots, but I’ve definitely had better(most recently two nights ago at Mediterranean Deli in Chapel Hill.)
