Subway

Like so many others, it’s a Subway. They have sandwiches, and the whole deal. This one, however, is Korean owned — a winner for me as I like to support Korean businesses but also immigrant-​run establishments.
Staff is friendly, speak English very well, and are good at what they do.

Ohhhhhh Sub-​I-​hate-​customers-​Way. I haven’t partaken in Sub-​I-​hate-​customers-​Way for a long time, in dog years it would be relevant to something like 28 or so-​ish. Anyway I went into this delightfully hand crafted sandwich shop for a Turkey club sub. Thinking that this should not at all be more difficult than finding the Unification of gravitation with quantum chromodynamics, but apparently today was Wednesday. Upon requesting such Sub I was responded to with a bit of distain with «we don’t do that» So I phrased could I have a turkey sub WITH bacon, hence turkey club? 12.00 dollars later for a footlong and feeling like I just punched a baby in the throat I leave with what is and is not a Turkey Club. I will never go back to this Sub-​I-​hate-​customers-​Way.

This is the best Subway I’ve found in Raleigh… I’ve tried other locations but I keep sticking with this one since I’m pretty nit picky about service and quality especially at cheaper places.

Yesterday was customer appreciation day. The line of customers in this store felt anything but appreciated. The line looped all the way around the store.
There were two guys trying to keep up with making sandwiches. The manager was manning the register with a very worried look on her face. At times, she paced a groove in the floor between the register and the back of kitchen.
I was there for ten minutes and the line barely moved 10 feet. At that point, one of the guys making sandwiches announced «We’re going to run out of bread before we get halfway through the rest of this line». I ended up leaving at that point along with about a dozen other people.
Typically, this is a good Subway, but last night looked like disaster if they were trying to show their customers their appreciation.
