Whether it’s gas, coffee, wine, craft beer or just a grab and go snack, this place has it. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. They have an extensive wine and craft beer selection which has something for everyone. They also gave weekly wine tastings with an occasional beer tasting. I will also add that the air pump is FREE! It’s a nice place and I’m a frequent patron.

Yup, this place is a BP gas station, but it’s awesome. Great wines, friendly customer service, and easy to get to.

This is a wine shop carefully disguised as a gas station. If you are looking for local(to the state) beer and even out of state craft beers? This is your place. The staff is always knowledgeable and can steer you in the right direction depending on taste buds and even price. While my Hubby and I like to have a casual drink every once in a while, we were tired of the same old, same old. Thanks to Taylor’s we can go in and come out with something new to try. Also, coffee is local and YUM. We have yet to make it to a wine tasting but that’s next on our list. Prime location near 540 so traffic/parking can be a bear at between 4:30 and 6.

This has been my neighborhood gas station for a good amount of years. It is located right outside of my parents neighborhood and very close to entrance to 540. It has pretty much whatever you want inside. They have a good selection of so many things. Me, I like to get some Voss sparkling water with Cape Cod salt and vinegar chips myself. But if you are a drinker, there are many alcoholic beverages as well. The man who owns the place is super awesome and I like supporting local businesses especially good ones. There is also a produce stand set up outside which earns the place bonus points along with biodiesel. Major points!

You may think that the«Fine Wine and Live Bait» schtick is a little hokey, but don’t let that cause you to drive by this diamond disguised as a BP gas station. Inside you’ll find a carefully curated wide selection of fine wines and beers tucked inside a convenience store setting. They offer local delicacies like Larry’s Beans coffee and Escazu fine chocolates, all within easy reaching distance of the Slim Jim’s. With regularly scheduled free wine tastings on Thursday nights, you could run up to Taylor’s, fill up your gas tank and refill your wine cooler.

Fine Wine, Live Bait, And Much More! Taylor’s Convenience Store is a fine wine shop in North Raleigh at Six Forks and 540 and if you’ve never been to Taylor’s don’t be surprised that it looks like a gas station/convenience store because it is! Taylor’s is a ONE-STOP shopping haven. This store is what I would call a high-end convenience store. In addition to getting gas, a gallon of milk, or a six-pack of beer, you can also find biodiesel(go green!), Escazu chocolate(my favorite chocolate in the world!), Larry’s Beans, and WINE. Taylor’s has an amazing selection of boutique and specialty wines. They stock all levels of wine from Duplin to Opus One. Taylor’s is conveniently located near a free boat ramp to Falls Lake so fishermen can stop in for some live bait on their way to the lake. Last year Taylor’s celebrated 30 years in business. In May of 1980, Gail and Taylor married and 10 days later they bought the store. Last year, I met Gail and Taylor at a friend’s «welcome home from the hospital wine party». They told us the history of Taylor’s and it was very fascinating. When they opened, the area was very rural with no shopping or big subdivisions and Falls Lake didn’t even exist. Wow! They changed with the times starting with gas, convenience items, and a grill. When Falls Lake was created, they added bait and water sports equipment like tubes and water skis. Over the years, they had a video arcade and movie rentals. When Blockbuster opened up in the area, they moved on to another venture… wine! Recently, Mark Morrow joined Taylor’s as their Wine Manager. Taylor’s host a complimentary wine tasting once a month on a Thursday evening from 6 – 8 pm. Join their mailing list to receive notification of the free tasting and information on the newest wine arrivals and events.
