We had LEVERT and ROYAL sandwiches. They were excellent! I wish we had more time to sample the rest of the menu.

Stopped in for lunch and was done within 30 minutes. The man behind the counter answered all of our numerous questions, and made it himself. The have great sandwich options and the two that I tried were flavorful and well worth what I paid. Cute place, highly recommend this one.

I got the platter here. It was $ 11 for a tiny plate of food. It was definitely not $ 11 worth of food. The falafel was barely warm – the insides were cold. The pita bread seemed more like naan than pita bread. Overall I was really disappointed and will not be going back.

This is a little jewel. Tasty lunch items and ice cream. Friendly staff that really cares. If they’re busy it can be a little slow. But this is an «old-world» place. Relax, sit-down and have a conversation.

The sandwiches/pitas are delicious! The smoothies are amazing as well and the ice cream is a perfect treat on warm summer evenings. The coffee is pretty good as well and the lone is often shorter than that of Third Place.

I give this all stars because the food has been really good. I got the Falafel with an add of cuke relish and it was fresh and yummy. I also got the green smoothie and it tasted like veggies and fruit. I agree that it can be a bit slow, but they are super friendly and willing to customize what you want. This is my new favorite spot to grab a bite to eat or smoothie. Nice place to relax for a minute I an hectic world.

Coffee, organic teas, middle eastern food, assorted desserts and quality ice cream are a few of the items this quaint little local owned place in historic five points. Most of the time you will be served by the owner. I had the lentils and vegetables soup with a cup of organic tea. It was very good. If you park on the side streets is is easier to find a place then right on Glenwood ave.

Extremely slow service. Went in today, ordered a cappuccino and kuchen. Waited over 10 minutes. Daughter’s nap time was getting closer and I couldn’t wait ay longer. Four customers were ahead in line(a family of four) and were served. then another lady walked in and was served ahead of me. Previous visit took nearly 20 minutes for a smoothie, coffee, and grilled cheese sandwich. Pathetic. I don’t mind waiting for good food, but if it takes longer to get a quick coffee or drink than sitting down for a full meal at a local restaurant, then why even be in business? I travel a ton in the US and a place like this would be out of business in any big city but Raleigh, for whatever reason, seems to reward slow, mediocre customer service. Nofo is a great example of this. This place isn’t far behind. In fact, most of 5-points is littered with mediocre places which is a shame because for great places like Hayes Barton, Crafty Beer, and Bloomsbury, there are places like Nofo, Third Place, and this place where a simple coffee takes longer than complex sushi rolls at Waraji or Haru. To me, a coffee shop /dessert place shouldn’t be taking more than a few minutes to make a coffee drink of ANY kind, sandwich, or smoothie. AND they should be moving at a pace where a customer comes in, gets his/her order in within 1 – 2 minutes and has their food out within 5 – 7 at the most. Amazingly, stores that aren’t named Starbucks or Caribou seem to manage this process incredibly well too. Begs the question, if you have to wait 10 – 20 minutes for coffee, a slice of already made cake/dessert, a grilled cheese sandwich, and/or a smoothie, how does a place stay in business? Will change my review if it improves but totally and utterly disappointing pace of service.

Great Mediterranean good. Love the falafel and the sorbet. The service is friendly and attentive. It is pleasant to be able to sit outdoors but can be a little noisy sometimes. Inside is nice but small. Prices are fair. We plan on going again.

The first time I went here I found a hair in my ice cream… now I understand that humans make mistakes so I was willing to overlook it due to the fact that it is the only place to get ice cream that’s in walking distance. The second time I came here I once again got ice cream and ONCEAGAIN found a hair in it. After that I told myself no way in hell would I ever come back, but one day I found myself craving a cup of espresso and third place had already closed so once again I braved TK café. No, I did not find a hair in my coffee, but the coffee was simply average. It wasn’t terrible, but for the steep price I might as well have just gone to Starbucks because there coffee is much better. As the famous Simon Cowell said many times«it’s a no from me.»

I stopped by for a quick bite today. Ordered iced coffee and cucumber sandwich per the reviews on Unilocal.Iced coffee has nothing special. Should have try German coffee or Turkish espresso. Will try them next time. The cucumber sandwich is pretty good! Taste light and very fresh. Just it took nearly 20 mins to get the sandwich! I even finished my coffee when waiting for the sandwich. It cost me 10 mins to try to connect their wifi. It still failed and I finally gave up. How could they even not sure about their wifi password? The sandwich worth 4 stars. I only give it three because of the long waiting time and frustration with wifi.

TO beat this heat we needed something cold. We were on our way to downtown Raleigh and decided to stop. They have the most delicious ice cream we have tried in a long time. The Coffee ice cream my son had was so good! I cooled off with and Ice Coffee. I asked if I could have splenda w it and was pleasantly surprised that it is fresh not from a mix. I also split a cream cheese danish. Let me tell you, it was the best Danish I have EVER had! I hope to go back for lunch, they have many fresh options. All home made and healthy. Very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stop!

The espresso was excellent, as well as the local ice cream. The man behind the counter was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was travel-oriented with tasteful décor. I highly recommend it!
