Fresh brought frozen yogurt and ice cream to Raleigh’s Five Points. It was great in the summer with the patio. The owner even mentioned talks of having a counter for window service. Breakfast waffles & fruit were served on Saturday’s. Ice cream was sourced locally from Maple View Farms. Unfortunately, the shop is now closed. It is unclear what will replace it. But, it turned out there just wasn’t a big market enough for ice cream. I scream, you scream, Five Points doesn’t scream for ice cream.

Expected really good home made ice cream and was not pleased. Way overpriced for some ice cream. Never thought ice cream could be bad bur it can be.

Fresh is great! I recommend the peanut butter yogurt with cap’n crunch! We went there today and not only was the frozen yogurt delicious, but the atmosphere was very nice and we were given great service.

Over at Five Points in Raleigh you’ve got a couple of restaurants, movie theater, bars and a coffee shop. Now add great ice cream to the list! The newly opened Fresh is bringing Maple View ice cream to the hood and I’m gonna eat it all… While nothing can beat the bucolic scene from the Maple View Country Store, Fresh at Five Points will be perfect once things warm up. Bright and cheery inside with a small patio area for seating, grab a cone after dinner or before a movie and you’ll be in dairy heaven. I grabbed a small cup of Carolina Crunch which was a perfect afternoon treat. Prices seem pretty reasonable for the hood. They need a bit more seating but this place is still transitioning from its previous incarnation as a clothes store. Fresh is tucked away next to Third Place and Hayes Barton Pharmacy, easy to miss its storefront. So glad to have you in the hood, Fresh! Between you, Locopops and Goodberry, I’ll have all my frozen dessert needs well taken care of…

Yummy! I got the plain yogurt with all sorts of toppings, and enjoyed it thoroughly. The yogurt is the perfect level of tart, although I was a little sad that it was not as creamy as some other frozen yogurts I’ve tried. They did not skimp on the toppings — a major bugaboo I have with some yogurt places — and all of the berries were fresh and sweet. Will definitely be going back!
