I LOVE the smoothies here. They are amazing and refreshing. The yogurt is made from scratch. This is not the powder based kind the other shops have. Their parfaits are also delicious. I like the fact that they put the toppings on for you. I will never go to a self serve place again – I saw kids putting their hands in the bins to top their yogurts. Yuk.

Frozen Yogurt, Smoothies, and Iced Tea Visit: August 25 A new frozen yogurt shop has opened about 2 months ago in the Glenwood Village Shopping Center at the corner of Glenwood Ave and Oberlin Rd, next door to Glenwood Grill and Dominoes. My husband and I happened to stumble upon this place on Saturday and decided to treat ourselves to some frozen yogurt. The shop has a very happy atmosphere with the bright green walls liberally decorated with flowers. The cheery employee offered us a taste of the frozen yogurt explaining it was freshly made and was 100% natural. I asked if there were any nonfat options as well as sugar free options. There were 3 flavors: chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry and they were low fat and all had sugar. So if you are diabetic, you are out of luck. I tried the vanilla frozen yogurt, which had a mild vanilla flavor that was lightly sweet with a hint of tart-like tang I get from greek yogurt. The frozen yogurt had a consistency like iced milk. There wasn’t any ice crystals but it had the texture that reminds me of the Frosty at Wendy’s. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t like the smooth, creamy frozen yogurt I have had at other shops. There was a small selection of toppings, mostly fruit. They also had granola and corn flakes, which Yoi uses in their parfaits. I ordered the vanilla with fresh raspberries… a yummy, refreshing cool treat. I was disappointed that this yogurt shop didn’t offer the«Self-Serve» format like many of the new frozen yogurt shops in the area. I really enjoy making my own and putting a little of this and a little of that on top of the yogurt. I was hoping for a drizzle of hot fudge to add some warm chocolate goodness to my snack but they don’t serve hot fudge. On future visits, I plan to check out the broad selection of iced teas and fruit smoothies but I will skip the frozen yogurt.
