Well I had a bit of a craving for Ceviche and The Latin Corner was near by so I thought I would give them a try. Based on the other review maybe I should have tried them at lunch. I went at 6:00 on a Wednesday evening. We were the only customers in the restaurant. We ordered Ceviche Mixto. I was a little hesitant because it was so expensive($ 15.99), but I figured if it is good ceviche it is worth it. Well it was not. The tilapia was room temperature and the shrimp was hot When I commented on the shrimp being hot our waitress said that is the way it is supposed to be. I explained to her I have had the dish in several states and many restaurants and she asked, «were they Peruvian restaurants?» We ordered Lomo Saltado for dimmer. It is a favorite of mine. WOW! Did they ever under whelm me. My Lomo Saltado was so salty I just couldn’t eat it. I would have said something to the waitress but she never actually came back to the table. At $ 25 a head without drinks(not even soda) and no one else in the building who wasn’t getting paid to be there I would expect a higher effort level of server. We had to walk over to where she was sitting to get the check. So other than bad food and terrible service and high prices it is a mediocre place to eat. Atmosphere 2 — Eh. It is a restaurant in a strip mall. I thought it was fine for what it was. Service 0 — Where do I begin on the service? Based on my experience I am going with lazy, argumentative, and uninterested in my presence. . Cost/Value 1 — The prices are high. $ 16 for a relatively small plate of ceviche made with inferior ingredients and $ 15 for a plate of mediocre Lomo Saltado seemed real high. Food 0 — The Lomo Saltado was so bad I couldn’t even eat it. The ceviche temperature was very off putting. When I commented that the shrimp in the ceviche was warm the waitress said that is the way it is supposed to be. That was a very odd comment on a dish that is not supposed to be cooked.

I came in between appointments for work, and I was starving but on a special diet. Rosaura helped me out, gave me the lunch special price at 3:15 pm and substituted the sides and the steak for chicken which I didn’t expect but was awesome of her! Great meal for around $ 6. The chicken was amazing. I was hoping they had pollo a la brasa since this is a Peruvian and Mexican restaurant, but they didn’t. Still, however they cooked the chicken was way more flavorful and much better tasting than your typical fajitas. There’s a tax accountant in the same space which is kinda interesting but the space is open, bright and clean, what more could you want?
