Eat here almost every other week. Well trained servers and well above average pub food. Smoke their own brisket for pastrami and Reuben, love it. Burgers and nachos really good as well. My kids like the food and playing Golden Tee while they wait.

Try the brat-burger! Outstanding! My wife had the crab cake sandwich and she loved it. The staff was friendly and attentive. We have found our new guilty pleasure. Great place

Food and service are ALWAYS top notch. And, this is a rare find in Raleigh. This is not like the rest of the chain restaurants that are littered through out the south. This is a real, privately owned restaurant/neighborhood pub. It’s one of a kind and highly recommended.

I almost got the burger, but tried the Shrimp and Grits based on the server recommendation. I wasn’t disappointed, it was great.

Trivia last night started at 7:30, so we were too late to join in. Next Sunday we will come back! I would have given 4but the ground beef on the nachos had a terrible seasoning on it. I’m not sure if it was that is was over seasoned or just badly seasoned but either way, not good. However, the crab dip is not to be missed. It is creamy & flavorful then perfectly served with light crackers that allow the crab dip to shine. The stuffed flounder served with green beans and mashed potatoes was a dish worth ordering again. The cheesecake was okay, not saying I wouldn’t have it again but I’d try the other desserts first. Great service & they were busy!

We use to come more often, but tired of the poor parking conditions. Food is alright and reasonably priced, but will wait for another visit until the owner puts some money in paving the back parking lot.

I’ve lived close to this place for a year and have never been here until tonight. Our server Jamie was great! She was fun, energetic, and attentive. Food and drink were good. Ruben wasn’t just ok, that’s the only thing that kept this visit from being a 5 star. Live music is a nice touch. Doesn’t take over the whole room like some places. Decent beer selection and drink list. Overall, and great visit!

Sunday Brunch. Used to be good. Thought we would try it again. Terrible. Peach Cobbler was not cooked. Special ordered Eggs Benedict from kitchen, came out with a very thick glob of cold hollandaise sauce on it. I think it was a Sausage ball on the buffet next to the eggs, couldn’t cut it with a knife. Flank steak was overly salted. Staff seemed to rally around bar and talk amongst themselves and ignore customers. Used to be one of our favorite Sunday morning places. Still enjoy their pizzas!

It used to be better. The onion soup crock shrunk. The food over all is still good and very American. If you hate chains and still want loaded potatoes and stuff like that then come here. It’s in North Raleigh and who wants to drive all the way there? But it’s worth it some nights. Try everything because I’ve had everything and I like it. Sometimes tis way too crowded(It’s N. Ral) but well worth it for a moment when American food was good and not frozen

Get the pulled pork BBQ egg rolls! Best pizza I’ve had in a pub. Nice bar atmosphere. Out door patio is decent but loud since it is directly on the road.

Well, I thought 3.5 stars was good enough to try a tavern since I know people can be over critical from time to time. For once, I think the place was greatly overrated. I sincerely hope there were some things going on that made today differ from other days. The food: In a word: flavorless I got a salad, was not very fresh and dressing was obviously store bought lower quality stuff. Wifey got the corn and crab soup. She reports it was not very flavorful and the crackers were stale. Fish and chips: I didn’t know you could make something that not only lacked flavor but didn’t absorb flavors. I put salt, Texas Pete, and malt vinegar on it — somehow none of those flavors stuck to the fish! Cole slaw was a bit soggy. Fries were average. Tartar sauce was only sweet — no savory. The Heinz ketchup was good as was the soda water I had. The service: Waited 10 – 13 mins for salad and soup and was not busy. Not a lot of visits from the server. Seemed very preoccupied with something else. The price: steep for the quality. Summary: in this case, unless Robert Irvine pays a visit, we will not pay another.

We came here with a group of 12 people. Everyone got their food at about the same time, except one of us. They didn’t realize the mistake until he spoke up and they said that they had forgotten to put the ticket in. We were all nearly done eating by the time that this person got their meal. We weren’t expecting a whole lot, but not only did they not take care of part of the check, they tried to put an extra item on this person’s portion of the check. The waitress apologized a couple times, but that’s about it. The food seemed okay for everyone. I got French onion soup that I wasn’t super thrilled with; no one else had anything really good or really bad to say about anything else. Live music was good. We won’t be back.

We went for trivia on Sunday evening. I liked the trivia a lot, it was fast paced and we were finished by 9pm. Plenty of time to get home and get ready for work on Monday. I ordered a turkey club and the person with me ordered fish and chips. Both were really good. It’s hard to mess up a turkey club, but the fish and chips were great. They batter was perfectly cooked and added the slight crunch that we were looking for. We will definitely be back for the trivia.

This is a great neighborhood bar! We started coming here when we lived nearby almost 7 years ago. Each time has been a great experience. It’s small and tucked away in a small strip mall off from Glenwood but thanks to being observant I noticed it and wanted to stop by for a drink and quick dinner one night… I’m so thankful I did. The irish inspired bar has great prices, specials, food and service. Usually my husband and I would meet there and before we could both sit at a table(first come first serve) at least one server had stopped by to take my drink order. Entrees come with a generous salad. Food is great and more than enough portions. It’s nice to come to a privately owned place instead of a chain bar. We look forward to being on this side of town now that we have moved and get a chance to eat/drink here. I hear they have a great brunch, but we have yet to try it out. On the to-do list!

We were ignored for 5 minutes while standing at the podium to be greeted. We eventually had to flag down a waiter to get any semblance of service so we just left. What else do you need to know? Based on my short visit and some of the reviews, I get the feeling this place survives on the blind loyalty of washed-up bar flies who were displaced when Duffy’s shut down.

Husband & I for quite some time now have been saying that we wish we had a place near home that was«our place». You know, the kinda place where you’ve just had a killer week at work and you are too beaten down to even know what you want, you just know you need a haven with something good to eat and drink? Love the wonderful variety on the menu! From apps, to sandwiches, salads, entrees and pizza, the selections are appealing and prices reasonable. Give us the haven of a booth on a Friday night, and give me Kendall Jackson at $ 7.25 a glass, and I’m already starting to brush off the scars of the week. Add some Mignon Sliders and Nachos to the equation and things are looking up even more. Sliders were small tender and lean steaks with crunchy fried onions and a tasty bbq sauce on nicely grilled and light small buns. Nachos were the usual with beef(chicken is an option), served with sour cream and salsa and jalapenos. Tasty. Now top it all off with a crème brûlée flavored delightfully with vanilla, perfectly bruleed on top, and an ample serving for sharing… well, I can say that we both feel like we just might’ve found«our place» close to home.
