Upscale Day Spa Nails

I loved this place when they first opened but it is awful now! I used to go every two weeks and get a manicure (French gel) and a premium pedicure. They always gave me the 20% discount which I gave back as a tip. Then it became harder and harder to get the discount even though there is a sign in the window. But, I liked my nails so I kept going. But after my last trip, I won’t ever go back! The girl that did my pedicure did a horrible job. I mean horrible! But… that is not the reason I’m never going back. It was the absolute jerk, Kevin, that did my nails that lost my business. He is flippant and rude. Right in the middle of my doing my nails, he takes out his phone and makes a call. He put it on speaker. He explained that his friend got into a minor accident after leaving a party and he wanted to check in. So weird! It seems like he would have checked in before or after. Bottom line… if you are going to act like you are doing me a favor by doing my nails, you obviously don’t care if I frequent your business. So, I choose not to!

I came here today after a bad experience at another salon. The technician took me as soon as I walked in the door. She was very friendly without being overly chatty. A little more than I am use to paying for a pedicure but I was pleased with the service I received. I also like that they are opened on Sundays.

I almost didn’t come here bc of the bad reviews but I did bc my daughter and I wanted a quick pedicure for a quick mommy and daughter day out. I thought the service was great and the pedicures were great. They were wonderful with my daughter and charged me exactly What I expected. I took one star off bc the cheapest pedicure was around $ 32 (my daughter is 5 and was only $ 16). I just moved here but the pedicures where I go start at $ 22. But they are very nice, did not try to up sell me one time and did a great job.

Wish my favorite technician had not left. It’s not the same anymore :(
I do not get the same quality service. While there are a few people there I like, I’m usually disappointed. The staff is routinely late when I get there at opening. I don’t feel like they really listen to me when I ask questions or make requests.

I went back and forth trying to make a decision on which salon I should go to for my nails. One of the technicians at another salon did not have the time due to it being the day after Thanksgiving, so she was on vacation. The pedicure at this place was okay, on a scale of 1 – 10, I would say a 6.5÷7. But my complaint is about what people will see everyday… My hands!
Where do I begin with this nightmare at Upscale Day Spa Nails, the technician that I got, I do not know his name, however, I will upload a picture, was very unprofessional, I remember overhearing another customers conversation right beside me in which one of her friends boyfriend has 7 kids and her friend has 6 kids, and the tecnician said that she «Should have kept her fuc**** legs closed.» Shocked, but I sat there as he did my nails. Some of the acrylic he put on my fingers didnt go all the way up to my cuticle, so even though this is a fresh full set as of 11/​28/​2015, some nails looked as if I needed a fill in already! Painting them with a color is even worse, because it shows the detail, so I told him not to polish them. Usually when they find the match for putting on a nail, they are numbered, and they just go ahead and take out 2 of the same numbers so it will be an easier process for the next hand, I feel as if my middle finger nails do not match. Not to mention he constantly repeated «Relax», sorry for being so tense, you have already accidentally drilled about 4 of my fingers. Thanks to you, the day after my cuticles are sore! Also he claimed he gave me the discount of 20% which was glowing bright in the window, but he did not and I was not going to argue with him. I usually tip $ 5 – 10, but I tipped nothing on this visit. I have read reviews from them that they do not honor the discount, and I thought to myself,” If they do a good job, I really dont care.“
Wished I would have waited for the other technician to come back from vacation. I hate my damn nails and cannot wait to soak them off in a week or so, just wanted to some what get my moneys worth! I just wanted to treat myself, since I have my Dad’s hands and I am a nail biter, and look what happened. I promise I will never return.

I used to like this place when they first opened, but was incredibly disappointed after my last visit. The prices listed are a complete LIE and the 20% off signs are still hung up outside, but they won’t let you use the discount. Last time I went for a manicure and pedicure and they mentioned all of these add ons that I did not get. For example, I was told it was $ 5 extra to take off my shellac, but I didn’t have shellac on when I came in.
After my sister came home from an additional visit with an almost identical experience, I will NEVER be returning to this place. Don’t get ripped off!

They were offering 20% off and all I wanted was a pedicure but they kept trying to upsell me. Finally she started my pedicure the basic one listed at $ 27. Pedicure was average, very little massage. Now it comes time to pay and they say $ 34. So I questioned the price listed on their sign of $ 27 and mentioned their 20% offer. That’s when a male manager or owner tried to tell me, in very broken English that they did lots of extras which made it $ 34. I told him I inly gotten a basic pedicure. «No No No, we do extra!!! «I ask «what extra?» He got loud and tried to embarrass me with his fast and loud talking. Told me the price of acetone went up… Really??? Wth? I said I will pay $ 27 less 20% …and that’s what I paid. He was still chattering as I left. Very rude and unprofessional. I Will Not Return and I Do Not Recommend !!!

I have been to this salon twice and both times I got great service. The gel manicure lasted me over 3 weeks and I am going back and taking my daughter. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is a relaxing experience. I recommend.

This place is awesome! The staff is friendly and they don’t try to push you into purchasing additional treatments while you’re there like some nail places do. The shellac pedicure is a little on the pricey side but their shellac manicure is a comparable price to other local nail salons. The shellac manicure lasted forever! My nails have never looked better after a manicure! I will definitely be going back!
