Once the renovations are complete this place is going to be amazing: more turf fields, bathrooms, nets and paved parking! Growing up I played CASL and now I play TASL(which is the version for adults), the co-ed division which uses the WRAL Soccer Center fields for all of their games. The only downsides: location is a bit far for me and getting in and out can congested depending on the time and day.

From a spectator’s standpoint… The lights are bright for night games, and the fields look well-kept. Parking is plenty. The bathrooms aren’t as bad as you might think; and they have 10 or so stalls to choose from(so if you don’t like what’s behind Door #1… you can just press on). They have rules against dogs and drinking.(Double boo. They hate puppies AND American sports tradition?) Though there are a couple of concession stands, none of them are ever open for the adult games. And I like to eat! Hope that you’re assigned one of the fields by the bleachers — lots of seating and a great view. Otherwise, just pack a camp chair so you don’t have to plant your bum on the lawn.

A few turf fields, which are great for year-round soccer, surrounded by natural grass fields in a reverse-U shape. On any given day, there are many players, coaches and spectators utilizing the fields. The entryway has always been a bit discomforting, since some people still ignore the one-way and«Do Not Enter» signs posted as an attempt for traffic control. Newly installed roll-away gates also mark the appropriate lanes for travel through the facility. Traffic through the facility is also congested, which is further complicated by the lack of traffic control into and out of the facility onto Perry Creek Rd. Local residents would be best served by Raleigh PD manning entry and exit points during peak game times, especially on the weekends. But that’s just my humble suggestion… This location also serves TASL(Triangle Adult Soccer League), which usually utilizes the fields after work-hours during the work week.
