In Coronado you pay only $ 5 for a fill-up box. In this tiny poor town, you pay $ 5.95. In Coronado you get all the free sauces you want. Here they are stingy and only give you one… and only if you get tenders. You cut even buy more. Cheap restaurant. Not coming back and hope they read their Unilocal reviews

Brenda the cashier was extremely rude. Totally inconvenienced by me being in the restaurant and ordering something. Even though I was the only person there. Worst kfc I have ever been to.

The sides here were pretty good and tasted relatively fresh and the biscuits were nice, but I am completely confused how a chicken restaurant can have so little chicken in their chicken tenders. It was all breading with the tiniest little smidgen of meat inside. Next time, I am going to order some chicken with actual chicken inside of it.

It seems that after 8 they rarely have anything to sell. I love KFC, but this one rarely delivers.

WORSTKFCEVER! So I’ve tried to go here on numerous occasions and normally it late in the evening around 9pm, and the normal response is we don’t have chicken left even though they are open till 10pm. So today ordered a $ 5 dollar box and had to ask for sauce for the chicken strips, then asked if honey and butter were in the bag and got the response that«you have to ask for that». In it self that’s fine, but when I said I have a biscuit shouldn’t you offer honey and butter instead of me asking she shut the drive thru window in my face. I knocked and asked for a manager and talked to tino, who was no more helpful than the first girl. This place is horrible, I wish I could give it 0 stars.

CATERING was excellent. Everything was ready at exactly the correct time. I didn’t expect everything to be put in large containers with utensils. From the plates to the plasticware all was adequate. The original chicken, potatoes, gravy and coleslaw were delicious. Biscuits and honey, too. Both employees I dealt with were personable and efficient. My forty guests were satisfied. We will definitely return to this local KFC.

Been a few times with the hope they would improve but I’m yet to see it. Had to wait 20 minutes in the drive thru, and there was one car in front of me. I enjoy kfc, and I hope this establishment improves a lot, but for now I’ll be giving the place a miss.

We keep going back and we keep feeling slightly ill afterwards. To us, even bad KFC food is still addictive. Our food is usually dry, hard and greasy. But add the honey-mustard sauce(that I can’t find any place else) and it is edible. Like other Unilocalers, I have noticed a lack of food before closing time and the old food. I am okay with the lock on the bathroom door(which customers are given a free token to use) because we have been across the street at Jack-In-The-Box and noticed the constant line of non-customers using the bathroom and taking free soft drinks. We have never had a problem with the service and the dining room has always been clean. Bad KFC is good, but good KFC would be great! Now, if only Ramona had a Taco Bell! * * * update* * * They now charge 50 cents for the honey mustard sauce so we quit going. Now we buy chicken at Albertson’s deli and just mix Dijon mustard with honey. Food is better and cheaper. It is bad that the deciding factor for visiting/stop visiting a fast food joint, is their dipping sauce. Still wishing for a Taco Bell.

No. If you want chicken, go to Stater Brothers. First, the chicken isn’t good. The chicken tenders have so much breading on them that you have to cut it in half to have a chance at finding chicken in there. And the fried chicken? It tastes like it’s been sitting in grease all day. Stale. Macaroni tastes like it’s been made from paste and I don’t even think you can call the white things in there noodles. Ewe. And the service! What? It takes SO long for someone to come up to the cashier! And if they do pass by sometimes they just ignore you. Go through the drive through, you’ll get better service. Not to mention a better menu. For some strange reason the menu is hidden behind what must have at one time been a wall, but only a small square was cut out for the register. Not only that, but it’s slanted! It is so hard to read! And it’s not even up to date! They don’t make new chicken either. If you happen to come by an hour before closing and order they’ll say«Sorry, we only have A, B, and C available». They won’t make more even if someone wants to buy it. Just bad. Don’t go. I keep trying to be optimistic and go there every now and then thinking it will have changed and be better but… no. I’m let down every time. Every single time.

Sadly, I have stopped and eaten here far too often. plain and simple: a horrible KFC that needs a serious change in management! — bad service, grumpy employees, bad and cold food, dirty bathrooms, tables and seating that is not regularly cleaned. They will lie to you by trying to tell you what you want to hear. I’ve seen poor follow through on state, county, and company health and safety standards. You’ve been warned. I can’t understand how KFC corporate can’t respond to sooooo many and diverse bad reviews over such a long period of time.

Went in to have dinner, when they gave us our food it was in to go bags. When they saw we wanted to stay and eat, they told us the dining room would be closing in 15 minutes and would have to leave. Even though the dining room was closing, the restaurant was not since they keep the drive through open for about another hour.

Poor service… Was about to go through the drive– thru but needed to use the restrooms first. Was told by the cashier that ordering food MUST be done first before access to the bathroom was granted. Or, pay $.25 fee… The cashier acted like the .25 was going toward his paycheck. He was probably going to pocket it…

Okay, two terrible experiences with this location. First experience I went through the drive thru with my mom and handed the cashier my debit card and she asked for my ID. I told her it was debit but she said they didn’t have a pin pad. I saw the Damn pin pad sitting on the counter next to her register. I didn’t have my ID. I left. Second experience again I went through the drive thru. I legitimately repeated my order at least 5 times! Family meal with Mac and Cheese and mashed potatoes. Is that really too hard to understand? After the fifth time of her repeating my order back wrong I decided to just leave. Terrible Terrible Terrible. Get someone who speaks and understands English to rake orders.

I would recommend that this location be used as a training to see how NOT to run a KFC. Even though I called and spoke with the Manager, the response was«What do you want me to do about it?» I called corporate and was basically told the same thing, but it would be reported to «upper management». I have read and seen videos of Mr. Sanders and the care he took with his food and customers. A sad situation for a man who built a brand based on quality and Southern hospitality.

Extremely overpriced for cold and hard chicken. It’s hard squeezing an extra sauce out of them. 1 sauce for 3 strips? Biscuits could be used as hockey pucks. Worst KFC chain ever

I was the manager of Popeye’s Chicken & Biscuits for several years. I have to admit, I loved KFC. I moved to Ramona this year. I have tried going to KFC Ramona at dinnertime 5 times in a row. Every time they are out of chicken. Or at least out of what I want… Extra Crispy White Meat. ALWAYS!!! Don’t take my word for it, look at the other reviews! I think KFC has a good product… but it’s only good if you can get it. This KFC might be good for lunch, but they are out of everything for dinner. If someone opens a Church’s Chicken, Popeye’s Chicken & Biscuits, Boston Market, El Polo Loco, or any other chicken establishment, GOFORIT. This town is NOT served by KFC.

They charge customers to use the restroom. Yes, customers. My guess is that this is a franchised store and in all most all cases they have terrible customer service. At least corporate owned stores let you use the restroom for being a customer.

Ok caught red handed cheating my diet here at KFC. Yet this has got to be one of their crappiest chains ever. Does management not SEE all these reviews? I should have looked it up prior to pulling up to the drive thru. 8pm and you’re going to tell customers you’re out of everything except for a very few selected Items? Upon reading fellow reviews from Unilocalers, I’m not sure if they just don’t have their menu items because they’re too lazy to heat it up or if they’re trying to save money. In any case, they’re losing customers. They only had chicken tender pieces and an Original colonel sandwich when I pulled up. And the guy in front of me sat forever before he got his order. The lady behind me backed out of the drive thru in disbelief when she found out they were out of chicken(supposedly) for the second time in a row. I almost backed up my car out of the drive thru too had they not given the guy in front of me his food and he sped off…

SAVEYOURMONEY! IFYOUWANTGOODFRIEDCHICKENTHAT’S ACTUALLYREADYWHENYOUORDERIT, GOTOSTATERBROTHERSDOWNTHESTREET. I’m generally a patient person when it comes to eating out. I understand that they’re trying to save money by not preparing food that they are just going to have to throw away at the end of the night. With that said, I have gone to this restaurant several times — at random times during the day — and EACH time they didn’t have enough chicken ready to fulfill my order. I can understand it happening once in a great while, but to have it happen consistently?!?(We’re talking 8 – 9 times over the last 3 to 4 years.) I have complained to both the manager at the store and the corporate office about the same issue and there has been no change. This last time was the straw that broke the camel’s back. They got my side orders wrong, didn’t have enough chicken ready for my order, and I had to wait for them to cook the potato wedges. When I called to complain the manager argued with me!!! Needless to say we won’t be eating there again. And if anyone asks me where to eat in town I’ll definitely be telling them to AVOIDTHISLOCATION.
