Good wines and very personable. We will definitely be back. We throughly enjoyed the views while enjoying our picnic basket and wonderful tastings.

Kohill winery is a jewel in Ramona. Mike and Aurora are gracious hosts, and the wines were top notch. Mike is very knowledgeable and(patiently) answered all our questions. The patio is lovely and he welcomes picnics. Great views and such a great setting!

On a drive through Ramona we randomly followed some signs to arrive at the Kohill winery. The location is fantastic… gorgeous landscaping, hillsides and mountain ranges surround this property, and make it a fantastic(and romantic) stop for wine tasting or a picnic. They have several outdoor tables and chairs, plenty for small groups or large. We both agreed that it would be a great place to ride our with our friends on a motorcycle trip. The tasting room is small and feels very intimate. We were the only ones there on the Sunday that we stopped in, and as such, we got super personalized service from the owner, who indulged us by answer hundreds of questions about wine making, drinking, and the local wine association in Ramona. He was a wealth of knowledge. This wa a fantastic stop for us, and we will definitely return again!

I recently attended a wedding at the Kohill Winery and it was enchanting. The ceremony looked out over the grapes and the reception was held at the tasting room. The whole ambience made it a romantic, fun and delightful wedding. I would highly recommend this spot for any functions whether it be an intimate gathering or a large affair. They also have tastings on the weekend and the wine is fabulous.

Drive through some desert and you’ll arrive at this beautiful vineyard up on a hill. The grounds are very picturesque and the family who runs it are gracious/fun. A great place to hang out in the sun, enjoy some vino, and take it all in. We went for a wedding and the experience(and photos) were spectacular. There’s a great little vista where they put out long tables & chairs, lights, etc which made for a magical evening. Highly recommend either as a place to visit or hold an event.

We recently held a wedding at the lovely Kohill Winery venue. As a wedding planner, there are so many wonderful wedding locations to choose from in San Diego. It is rare to find a new and immaculate venue such as this. The gardens were used for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and the open lot adjacent to the tasting room was used for the reception. There were 175 guests in total with plenty of room. The venue owners are wonderful and went above and beyond to make it a very special day. The grounds were just perfect, making the day very memorable and the photos out of this world! I highly recommend using Kohill for a wedding venue. Erica Hinshaw Joie de Vivre Weddings and Events

I was visiting from Northern CA, and it happened to be a Wednesday when the winery was closed. I called and asked if I could make an apt. to taste. Mike called me back and was willing to let my sister and I taste. Not only were all the wines outstanding, but Mike and Aurora we extremely nice and friendly! This is definitely a place I would come back to when I come to visit my family. The winery is normally opened Saturday and Sunday.

Wow, so far I have been impressed with every single winery I have been to in Ramona. Kohill was no exception. The property is very nice, I have this thing about huge doors and Kohill has some beautiful large doors at the winery. Anyhow, you drive up and park near the amazing doors and then walk around to the front door. The owner/winemaker himself, Mike, was the one to help us. He was very nice and told us all about the wine, his property, and answered any questions we had. The wine was great, every one we tasted was good. Mike even let us try some from the barrel.

Mike is a friendly and knowledgeable winemaker. Lovely little winery. Aurora’s Red and Viogner are delicious. Good prices too.

While ‘just down the road’ from us… What an excellent wine-tasting experience! It’s a cozy, ‘off-the-beaten-path’ drive from 67 — but well worth the effort. Mike has a small tasting area — just 4 chairs at the bar area — but it’s just great! He has some nice outside seating — nicely elevated w/a focus on the hills to the North. The wines? He has just 4(now). 2 Whites and 2 Reds. We tasted a new exciting Barbera though. We *loved* them all — and purchased 1 each of the 2 Reds. [We are ‘local’ and plan to visit monthly] [As such — we can taste/purchase/recommend frequently, etc] His ‘blend’ was absolutely awesome. Quite a find. Please drop by if you are a very small group. I don’t see vans/limos driving up and dropping off any time soon(but any/all business is good). I’d call Mike to see what he wants to do! We will be joining the membership list soon. This is just one of many Ramona Wine Tasting Rooms that are/will be opening. This is so exciting!
