So far, the heat outside brought me inside and I found little relief. The best spot in front of the vent. My roommate ordered onion rings that were cold. My burger’s not hot either, but it tastes good. The 19 Wheeler with fried avocado was my choice over June’s Caprese burger. The three stars are because of the heat. Something needs done about it.

I don’t know how this place got past one star. You have a Costco Bugre that is 13 bucks if I want a Costco burger I will go to Costco. It was so not worth it by no means. This place will never get an other penny from me. I ask them to take it back and they put the burger under a heat lamp while the cook new rings who dose that. This place is unreal. Now the ring suck as well boy did I Chose the wrong Burger. I sure made a bad chose in coming here. Don’t order anything form this place you will get charge for it even if you don’t eat it.

Ok, third time here. All still great but if you order kabobs or burgers be sure to order it cooked the way you want of it can end up well done. Found this out last time. Just s «heads up».

Pretty solid burger joint. Jalapeño poppers are awesome and the staff is great. I had one burger there that I didn’t really care for but I think it was just my personal taste not a bad burger.

So glad we found this place! Oh my gosh our lunch was to die for!!! Shark tacos with the special tortillas is what both my husband and I ordered. It was the perfect medley of everything fresh. The beer battered fries were great and my hubby liked the tots. We also got the fried avocado sliders which was impulsive but a great addition and such a generous serving. So with 2 orders of 2 shark tacos and 1 order of 3 sliders and two cokes with a kids drink our total was around $ 33 that’s basically the same as any fast food joint but your getting fresh ingredients + great local service. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed. Keep up the great work guys, we will be back!

Honestly, wouldn’t even go here if there was another burger place in town. SO, everytime my boyfriend and I come in we waiting minimum 20 minutes for any sort of acknowledgent. I work in customer service as well, so I am well aware things get busy, and hectic. But its really no excuse to not even recognize that we came in the door. 99.9% of the time we come in, there is maybe one other family or couple in there, so I’m not sure the whole busy factor can be played here. We’ve actually waited for a half hour in the seats by the door, GOTUPANDLEFT, came back, and still have not even been welcomed. It’s just super bad service, my boyfriend loves the food so thats why we go back, but I wouldn’t if I had some other option in Ramona. Every waitress I’ve had has been super neglectful, and unattentive EXCEPT the other night, there was one waitress in which I have not seen before, and I’m not sure of her name, But she has blonde hair in a low bun, but she was super nice, and very attentive, and even let us move inside once a table became available due to the cold. But besides the one waitress, I can’t seem to find any reedeeming qualities here. The tacky décor, weird 90s house music, and HORRID customer service, I’d rather get a Big Mac from the drive thru.

Let’s put aside the fact that we waited 41 minutes for our food or the fact that the waitress waited till over 30 minutes to tell us there was a delay. No, let’s focus on the fact that the restaurant ran out of chicken in the middle of a Sunday, ok no biggie… We ordered our Cesar salad and quesadilla without the chicken. But then the restaurant had the balls to try and charge us full price. Then acted offended when we asked why we paid full price for 2 items that did not have chicken or a substitute. The quesadilla was also burnt and cold in the middle. All around just a bad experience that was not handled well by the staff.

The nuclear wings were one of the spiciest wings I have ever eaten! If you love hot sauce then order these wings. I barely finished them but they were well worth the price, Eaters beware: You will feel the burn the next day, you have been warned.

The food that we did receive was good, which were the Jalapeño Poppers & Fried Avocado. We had ordered as a main course the Ahi salad & the seared Ahi plate, which by no means is a complicated dish. We waited over 40 minutes just to be notified by our server Cecilia that it would be an additional 20 minutes for our order. Our appetizers were long gone & beers as well… The food was good but the service left a lot to be desired.

Pretty good! The waiter was nice, the service was fast. The food was pretty good! Nothing out of this world, but satisfying and reasonably priced. If you’re in Ramona I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

This place was amazing! Delicious food, great service. I think I found my new favorite restaurant! Parmesan Rosemary fries are incredible. Mushroom Mayhem burger was out of this world. Mud pie dessert… food coma that I never want to come out of!

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated quickly and the wait staff was very attentive. The steak Caesar salad was served with practically a whole head of romaine lettuce and a good amount of well prepared steak. The salad also featured radishes, a rarity these days. The roast beef dip was served with steaming hot au jus and a creamy horseradish sauce that deserves healthy respect. My recommendation is to spread thin. The dining room is small with a nice outdoor patio.

I’ve only been to Up the Hill a few times but have loved the food every time. It’s very small but comfortable and the servers are very friendly and attentive. We’ve never waited long to be seated. The prices are great and the amount of food served is generous. I can never finish a burger meal on my own, which is great because then I can take it home and eat more later! The décor inside is cool and not what you see in most restaurants and they’re kid friendly which is a huge plus.

Came here with friends the other day to escape the rain. Service was okay, I appreciate the waitress telling us that there was a large group that came before us and that our food would be 25 minutes. I’m glad we wouldn’t be surprised by the wait since it was just our group of five and the other large group. I did find that the food was overpriced. I ordered the Kabobs and some Garlic Parmesan fries. While the Kabobs were good, it wasn’t I’d come back here delicious. The Garlic Parmesan fries were okay and the dipping sauce(Thousand Islands) that came with didn’t help very much with enhancing anything. It tasted better with just ketchup. My friend’s Buffalo Wings were so good you inhale the spice as you put your mouth onto it just to bite. I thought the fact they branded their logo into the bun of your burger was a nice touch but I still find this place A-OK but not substantial.

Spent an afternoon in Ramona and checked out this place on the suggestion of a local. Hubby and I had Bitsy with us and asked if she’d be allowed on the patio. They said she had to be tied on the other side of the patio fence. Fair. We were seated quickly and menus were brought out. It was a random Wednesday but the place was a bit busy during lunch hour, mainly small families. We ordered the Cheesesteak sandwich and their Burger of the month with garlic Parmesan and steak fries. Wait time for the plates to come out was a bit, maybe 20 minutes. There were only 2 servers that I saw but that is probably standard since the place is pretty small. The food itself was really good. The burger was flavorful and cooked to order. The cheesesteak was equally flavorful with the right amount of seasoning and melty cheese. The steak fries were better than the garlic-parm fries; they lacked seasoning. Also, their ranch sauce was bottled ranch… I’m big on ranch and dos not like theirs. Our servers were really nice and checked up on us often. We’d come back if in the area!

We had the fried grilled cheese appetizer and oh my goodness… it was so delicious!!! While I felt like I needed a salad afterwards to counter balance I’m so glad we got it!!! I’m having to take my Smoked Porte Burger home because I just couldn’t eat anything after the fried grilled cheese. But it looks amazing!

Wow, we hated everything about this restaurant. I’m honestly wondering if the positive reviews are fake. This is the ideal restaurant for Restaurant Impossible. When we arrived, the inside of the restaurant smelled odd and there were DIY style AC ducts all over the place. No one was in the restaurant, including a waitress to greet us. We should have left right then, but just as we were about to leave, a waitress came out from the back. Because of the smell, we asked to sit outside. When we got to our table, the chairs were stacked on top. The waitress didnt attempt take them off… so we did it ourselves. After taking our drink order, it took about 10 minutes to take our food order which is a long time. Then after taking the food order, it took another 15 minutes to get our food. Each of our hamburgers came SUPER well done. It dawned on me that the waitress never even asked us what temperature we wanted our meat. I guess the default is «hockey puck»? The onion rings on the onion ring tower were fried to almost dust and dark dark brown. They came with with 2 sides, white ranch and something pink. The pink sauce was clearly squirted on to the dish with a squeeze bottle and was spattered and unappetizing. As we’re realizing this was a terrible idea and re-checking Unilocal to make sure we were at the right restaurant, I looked around. The outdoor patio is basically falling apart and filled with DIY repairs. This includes mish mash of christmas lights in October, several different kinds/colors of light bulbs, random table styles, pvc pipe glued to umbrella sticks, rusted out railing, holes in umbrellas, I could go on… Please, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

I was pleasantly surprised on how delicious the food was. The inside dining area is pretty small and it smelled a bit off or musty; so we sat on the outside patio and that was ok. The staff was nice and prices fair. I would visit again. Gave a rating of 4 due to noisy outside patio when the traffic picked up and the windowsill close to our eating area was pretty dirty.

Ramona has been calling me for awhile with it’s new wineries, old town festivities and other business offerings that are popping up almost overnight. Folks, I have to tell you, Ramona is no longer a one horse town! You have plenty of options when visiting or just passing thru. I was mentoring a young lady and we took a trip up the hill and before browsing the vintage and antique offerings in town we decided to find some food that would satisfy. We happened upon the Up the Hill Grill, which is appropriately named when coming from Escondido. You will find this soon after entering town. This place serves up burgers and fries and American classics but not in the traditional diner sort of way. Instead, UTH Grill offers a twist on the classics. On our visit we ordered the Fried Avo ‘n Bacon Sliders and the Island Fries with a couple of Iced Teas. I have NEVER had fried avocado before and I now have a new found love! Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle goodness that added a unique texture to the burger. The fries were the crinkle style and served with shredded cheddar, bacon, green onions, sour cream and ranch! Wow, were these tasty! Up the Hill Grill is cozy inside, with a few booths and a couple of high tables. It is decorated with vintage finds… old signs, car parts, even a love tester amusement machine(an electronic fortune teller of sorts). I will let you know the machine doesn’t work, but if it did it would measure the moisture on the skin of your hand and rate you accordingly. Our foodie selections were eaten with our hands so the food warmed us up! I would give the Up the Hill Grill a «Hot Stuff» rating much like the machine might… for it’s overall environment, service and food! #ClimbEveryMountain #ForgetFriedGreenTomatoesEatFriedAvocados #HotStuffLoveMeter

To start of this is a solid 3 ½ Star Burger place. But there is so much more on their menu. It’s a small place with very limited seating inside and a fair amount on their outside patio. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. The Menu has a vast amount of Specialty Burgers and Sandwiches and a few side dishes as well. We started off with THEHANDMADEJALAPENOPOPPERS Their legendary bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers are made from fresh peppers stuffed with mesquite cream cheese, wrapped in a full slice of bacon and topped with a touch of crisped Cheddar. — 7.95 They Were Tasty but not very Spicy with Heat. Jan had THEMUSHROOMMAYHEMBURGER Garlic, cream cheese & Swiss stuffed Portobello mushroom tops this burger with sautéed onion, L & T — 13.95 This Burger was Very Good. Juicy, and cooked a perfect medium rare as requested. I Had THE19WHEELER Fried avocado & thick sliced bacon round out this massive burger with all the fixin’s — 13.95 Yes it was also a tasty burger although out of the two burgers we tried the mushroom burger was our favorite. Sadly it wasn’t cooked as I requested. A solid medium instead of medium rare. Signature burgers and sandwiches are served with your choice of beer battered fries, crinkle cut fries, cole slaw, cottage cheese or a side salad. The Prices are fair for a Signature Burger Place. Note. The burgers and sandwiches are served with your choice of our beer battered fries, crinkle cut fries, cole slaw, cottage cheese or a side salad. We will try this Ramona Gourmet Burger Place Again one day soon. Enjoy
