Berger/ Allied Moving and Storage

Maybe I am in the minority (at least on Unilocal) but my experience with Berger was pleasant. The original price I was quoted was spot on… too be fair though my neighbor used to work for a moving company so he had my dimensions and weights double checked for me which I am sure most people don’t have as a resource.
Anyways I rarely ever give 5 stars so a 4 star is pretty high for me. I would be confident using them again.

Like the other reviewer, I had a horrible experience with Berger. I had a very short amount of time for packing for this move. Needed every minute I could get. Five days before the agreed-​upon date, they called and said that they were changing the pickup/​move out date, so instead of five days to pack I had two.
Panic.
Got all the help I could from friends. It still wasn’t enough. Had to pay these bastards to pack the remainder of my stuff. Of course, quite a bit of what they packed was ruined in transit, but you don’t have time to find that out until after you’ve signed the release.
They also ruined my desk, a wall mirror, and my TV stand. They just yanked the furniture apart for no reason, destroying it. They paid the claim, that was no problem. But the wall mirror was an heirloom and irreplaceable. Complete disregard for my property. Inexplicable. I don’t expect perfection, but this was brutal, deliberate damage.
Eventually I figured out that the packers also broke into the sealed box that had my watch collection and stole my two best watches.
Horrible, horrible experience. Never ever. Never. Worst. Hate them.
