Every time there is at least 20 – 25 people in line and one cashier. They always call another one up to the front. But they never come!

I’ve been to many 99c stores and they all have basically the same items and the same layout. What makes this one stand out is the very POOR customer service. First of all their staff is not knowledgable about what the store has and doesn’t have. I had 2 instances where I called to see if they had a certain product(last time it was small water spray bottles and this time it was a certain theme party supplies). Both times I was told yes they carried the products. After driving and getting there, I find out they don’t actually carry it. Waste of time, energy, gas, and I could’ve easily gotten it at the dollar tree. Since I was already there I decided to get a couple of other things. I lined up to check out and the line was long. Finally another cashier came and she takes someone that lined up after me. More waste of time. I finally decided to leave everything and go. It was such a disappointment. Beware, if you want to find out if something is in stock, don’t call, no one knows anything. Go there in person or better yet go to dollar tree or Walmart or target. It will save you the disappointment and headache.

This 99 cent store is located in a very uninviting plaza but, don’t judge a book by its cover. It has plenty to offer inside. I usually know what I need to get beforehand which saves me the time. There can be some very sketchy people doing weird things out front and even inside but, what 99 cent store isn’t sketch? Lol My most favorite thing to buy here besides small knick knacks? The coconut water. Potassium in a can. What I love most about the coconut water here is that it has less than 3 ingredients and it’s gluten free! Although I prefer my produce to be organic, I did buy a watermelon here once and it was probably the sweetest I’ve ever had. They carry bags of tomatillos and limes here for well, 99 cents! Super come up, right? I’ve also seen some beer here like Sapporo which could be useful if you plan on having sushi for dinner. The convenience and great items they carry for such a low price keeps me coming back :)

Ewwwww… closed due to rodent infestation. Disgusting. Just think before the shut down it was only known to be filled with people who made the«People of Walmart» look good and a record number of beggars and shop lifters but now it’s also associated with disease carrying rats. Bag of potatoes .99 cents… the medical bills and and antibiotics after to treat Salmonellosis… priceless.

I had a really bad experience there this last week. The freezers were down and everything was thawed but they still said it was OK. Ymm no. Then i saw some bagels that they haven’t had for a long time but they were all chewed up by mice I’m guessing. I told the lady at the register and she acted like she didn’t believe me until i gave her a chewed package. Then she just threw it under the counter and said nothing else. I usually love this store but I’m rethinking now.

Unhelpful Manager On 12/31/2015, I was charged twice for a transaction on my debit card, due to the fact the cashier couldn’t print a receipt the first time. I needed the receipt just in case I needed to return or exchange one of the items. She was actually courteous about the whole thing and said to contact them the next day to get things resolved. On 01/01/2016, I called and asked for the manager. Her name was Dawn(or at least sounded like it). She said she spoke to the store manager and couldn’t reverse the charges without a receipt(HELLO Dawn, couldn’t get a printed receipt for the first transaction!). She was rather rude and just hung up on me after insisting that I needed to take this to my bank for claims. The bank told me it’d be a 30 day process. I ended up calling 99 Cent Only Store Corporate and leaving them a message, due to their being closed for the holidays. I’ll be recommending that Dawn be moved to employment where she doesn’t have to work with other humans. And by the way, just like other reviews, the selection is good here, but the people outside the store asking for money, makes coming here less desirable. Dawn makes the experience(s) even worse.

This is just like any other 99 cents store, but there is one thing that stands out. They sell bottles of various Wine for $ 2.99. They have red, white, moscato, and pink moscato! When i have holiday gatherings i know where to come for some awesome priced bottles. Today i just chose randomly due to the bottle packaging. When i got home i had the chance to finally search each one up and find how much it costs. Most of the bottles i got was worth $ 9 to $ 10 a bottle. One bottle i got which is the red one, which is worth $ 20. I was very excited when i got it for only $ 2.99. These would also make great gifts for the wine lovers! The last visit i been here i remember they sell bottles of beers too! The aisles here are clean and spacious and easy to shop and find items easily. The staffs here are somewhat friendly. I do wish they have more cashiers because the lines can be long and takes a while before we can pay. A con from this store is the bathroom, where it is locked. If we want to use the restroom we would need to call an attendant vs. other 99 cents store i been to don’t have their restroom lock. Anyways i think it is due to the area it is in, which is close to the light rail so people come here and use it a lot and thats maybe why. The location is kind of run down a bit. There is a big parking lot shared with a fitness place so the parking can be hard to find when it is busy. While i was parking i see the sign no fitness parking so i figure they take a lot of the parking lot. I do like this 99 cents store because they do carry different items from the other 99 cents store i have been too. After the discovery of booze in a 99 cents store now you know and lets stock up! lol… gulp gulp… Thanks for reading and lets have paint and wine night!

I mean you can’t really go wrong. You walk in knowing it’s cheap stuff but if you can grab items like dish soap and kitchen things for a buck why not? I don’t think this store has security at all. While waiting to pay for our things I literally saw someone walk out with things in plain sight, didn’t even try to hide them. I know they weren’t paid for cause I saw the person in the aisle went we left it and just walked straight out the door. Our cashier even looked at the person and did nothing. But hey they prolly don’t get paid enough to bother, can’t blame them I guess.

I enjoy going here and finding new things. The store has alot to look at and I can spend a lot of time just shopping at this store. The only down side is that they don’t seem to ever have enough cashiers.

pretty chill place and people. the chobani yogurt is 2 for a dollar but if u buy one, it’s 80 cents :(. make sure to get two, lol. everything was well stocked in the back fridge. found some kewl touch screen gloves. there’s also a wine section in the back. pretty kewl! i love 99 cent stores amd the cheap gum, lesser branded cheap energy drinks, random large burritos/tv dinners to catch before selling out, and that pack of 4 single serving frozen guacamole loll. dont forget the inclusion of $ 2.99 «frozen» movie themed water bottle pack, cups and random stuff. i hella eyed the italian or french? jam u normally see in a grocery syore for $ 3 bucks +. it’s so good.

They are raising their prices on some items, so don’t be shocked at the register. They have great Halloween stuff this year, and I’m willing to pay 1.29−1.99 for it. Saw an older lady snapping pictures of prices, didn’t investigate, but saw a sign that read butter 3. xx… Change the store name to 99cents Plus so customers don’t get too mad.

I like the selection, thats why I am giving it two stores. In fact, I used to love it. The problem is the management doesnt care the AC has been broken for 3 weeks they told me and the store smells like rotting garbage because of it. POORMANAGEMENT. Also, there are always people RIGHT outside the door with petitions or asking for a buck, doesn’t make me feel safe.

I’m giving this three stars… but was going to give it two. I’ve had a slight change of heart though. I don’t usually like stores such as this or the Dollar Tree(or Walmart)…discount stores just aren’t my thing. But my son loves going here with his hard earned money(he works very hard for his money too), so I went in with him before taking him to Greyhound to buy him some snacks for his trip. This store wasn’t so bad. Pretty clean. For the most part, the shelving was organized pretty well. The floors were clean. The front was a little cluttered, but not as bad as others that I’ve seen. So, good job 99! I still may not come back too often, but at least I’m saying I’ll be back(to this location, at least).

I love this 99 cent store. It’s everything you could possible want in one. It has art supplies like wood frames and markers. It also has food staple items like onions, fruit, bread and milk. I love their seasonal party isle. Great buys to make a tiki or holiday party. I never have to wait very long to check out either.

I go here all the time for fresh eggs, dried beans and school supplies. The rice is really poor quality and $ 1 for a pound isn’t really much of a bargain seeing as I can get a 20lb bag for $ 15 down the street of some awesome kokuho rose or basmati. There are some real deals to be had. The spices are off the chain. huge bags of bay leaves, sea salt, coriander, cumin, paprika, chili powder all for a buck. the school supplies are cheap and efficient. single subject notebooks and packets of 6 pens. 100 sheets of copy paper. 4 rolls of two ply tee-pee and 5lb bags of the cheapest kitty litter I never want to use again. they also stock up on fresh bread(white, wheat, steak rolls, hot-dog buns, hamburger buns) occasionaly you can get some pretty good produce. but it changes often and isn’t always up to par.

About what I expected from a .99 cent store. The selection is a bit better than most other«Dollar» stores, and occasionally you can find some great deals. Remember, though, just because it’s a buck… that doesn’t mean it’s a good deal. Sometimes you can find a better deal at the Target or(God forbid) Walmart across the street. Oh, this location also carries fresh produce, which is truly their best feature.

This store is great. They always have a lot of little random items, and have recently extended their products and carry a lot more things now. The party/present section is a lot bigger, as well as the grocery section. I like to get balloons here because they’re cheap and they’ll fill them up with helium for you too. Their wrapping paper isn’t that bad here either. I haven’t bought groceries here, just because I was a little weary about 99cent veggies and fruits; I mean how fresh can the be if they’re 99cents? But I overheard a lady asking a worker how they get produce so cheap, and they said that it’s because bigger grocery chains like Safeway, Food 4Less, etc. get a lot of produce in, but once their fridges are full, they can’t fit the rest, so they go to the 99cent stores to sell them. The location of the store isn’t great though. I get kinda scared when I come here alone, especially at night when it’s dark because there can be a lot of random weirdos hanging around the plaza. It is right next to a light rail station.

For a «dollar store», it’s relatively clean and well lit. It’s spacious, with wide aisles. Surprisingly, It has the best selection of food(canned and dry goods, spices, fresh produce, fridge and freezer items, candy, and beverages) that one would expect from a «dollar store». They have a huge selection of household needs and gift wrap. My only complaint is that they don’t carry helium balloons like they do at the other«dollar store». But for everything else that you’re looking for(or not looking for, but want when you see it cuz it’s only 99 cents), this is a good place to browse.

I am loving this store, everything is .99, I found two in Sacramento and am bummed there are none close by to me. The store is huge, with the usual, snacks, candy, housewares, kitchen, bathroom, wrapping paper, toys, candles, storage containers, plates, etc… but in addition, a gourmet food section, breads, refridgerated foods, frozen foods and fruits and veggie. I couldn’t believe the small Dulcenea watermelons you see at Safeway for 2 for $ 5 when they go on sale are only .99 here and they still looked good. There are some items not worth .99 but you don’t have to buy them.
