THE WORST BUSINESS EXPERIENCE EVER
There’s not enough time in a day to tell the entire story of how these guys tried to rip me off. Let me give you a short synopsis.
I was in need of a M54B25 engine for my 2004 BMW 325i. I called over there and got hooked with the «We’ve got one with 92k on it but you have to move quick» $ 1k I called them back the next day and paid with a visa debit card.
(If you do decide to buy ANYTHING from these crooks, make sure you use a credit card that will back you up.)
So, bought the engine for $ 1185 out the door, delivered. I live in the North Bay. Engine shows up the next day in the back of a pick up truck, sitting on the oil pan. No packing, no pallet, no padding, cardboard, nothing. Hoses have all been cut off the engine and the motor mounts have been sawsalled off. I reluctantly unloaded the engine into my truck thinking, «well it has to have 92k on it so I guess it will work». I had my old engine so I had all the stuff I needed besides the long block anyway.
Get the engine home and start looking at it a little closer. Turns out it’s a 2001. No biggy, mistakes happen, I’ll call them back. I call in the next day when they’re open. They just «don’t really know» what happened to the «2004 with 92k on it». Well I ask them if they can swap this one out. Mike, the biggest liar of a salesman, says he has to talk to the owner and he’ll call me. 2 days later I’m calling them back. Mike repeatedly tells me «This engine will work in your car, bro». I told him that the engine looks terrible and I didn’t want to put it in my car. At this point, they won’t return the engine without a %30 restocking fee even though they are the ones that messed this up. So I get quotes, AND VINs on two more engines. I went ahead and ran the VINs on the engine I had, the one they were supposed to send me and one that had «77k but we have to charge you $ 300 more +shipping».
Here’s where it gets real interesting.
I ran all the VINs. I have the reports saved and I still have the original receipt from these guys so if anyone wants to see the proof, I’ve got it. The one that they wanted $ 300 more for had 177k reported on it at the time it was totaled out NOT 77k! (Don’t forget they wanted to charge me $ 300 more for this one).
The one they were supposed to send me (92k) had around 79k miles last reported in 2007!!! Same story with the one they sent me…
RIDICULOUS!
So I call Mike back and tell him I’d just like to return the engine. He keeps giving me the go around for another day or so saying he has to ask the owner. Mind you, this is about 2 weeks after taking delivery of the POS engine they sent me.
Finally I call Mike back and listed off the VINs I ran with the numbers that came back. These were his exact words. «I’m just the salesman, bro. You know it’s part of the job.»
So I finally tell him that I’m going to report it to VISA and he replies, «Good luck bro. You know how many times I’ve been through this?» To which I replied, «Probably a lot». He didn’t know what to say. Told me he’d call me back the next day.
So he calls me back two days later and tells me he’ll have someone come pickup the engine later that week. Well now we’re about a month out, I have a junk 2001 engine sitting on a pallet under a tarp in my garage and $ 1185 tied up. Not to mention, my car is still sitting there waiting for an engine. Anyway, the driver never shows up to pick up the engine. 9 o’clock that night I open a case with VISA.
So I just kept up my search while VISA did their thing. No word from BAP on their driver that never showed up. No word from Mike about the return. Nothing. Almost a month later I get a heated call from the «owner». Obviously just got served the VISA papers. Tries to blame everything on me and claims «all our phone calls are recorded» to which I responded, «good, because that will just prove how much you guys have lied to me». I got pretty upset with them and demanded they send a return receipt with the driver.
Well, lo and behold the driver shows up the next day. No receipt. No paper. Nothing. Not to worry, I figured as much so I had my own printed receipts ready. Had the driver sign them and he was on his way.
(I have to say, the driver they used to deliver to my area was a very nice person to deal with. Very polite, really understanding and knowledgeable.)
BOTTOM LINE
This whole experience took over 3 months for a «mistake» they made. I spent HOURS on the phone with these guys calling them back day after day. It was the single worst experience I’ve had with any business and I have paperwork, pictures, receipts, license plates and VINs, to prove this entire story.
THIS BUSINESS IS TERRIBLE
I will be reporting this same ordeal to the BBB and the Bureau of Automotive Repair adding to their already terrible reviews there.

These guys are great. They gave me a very fair price on a rear bumper for a 3 series coupe. They even had one of their guys pull off the right set of brackets off another 3 series so it would fit. I Installed it the day I got it and it looks great. I have a couple of BMW’s and will be getting my parts from here. Almost took away one star because the wax type pen or paint they use to mark inventory numbers on the bumper was really hard to get off. I had to wet sand it just to get it all off. You guys really need to find something else to use.

Great wrecking yard, i purchased motor mounts for my 2000 Mercedes E55, they had it in stock, gave me great price for both, and they threw in the hood latch for me, so i recommend this place, Mike the sales person took care of me.

These guys do a great job, offer very competitive pricing and have a very knowledgeable staff. My shop has purchased many parts from them including an AMG v8 for a customer of mine. The motor has had no issues and is used in a racing application with NO problems!
Mike Travis and Peter are great guys and my manager Kevin loves dealing with them.

Stay away from this place!!! Worst experience I’ve ever had with a business… First they quoted me a price over the phone, once I arrived to pick-​up they told me it would be an additional $ 250, since I was already there, I went ahead and got it, after getting home I realized they sold me the wrong part, went back to exchange it then they didn’t have the correct part ready, so had to go back two days later, got that part home and found out it was broken, went back a 4^th time now to exchange it and of course the new part wasn’t ready, 3 days later the part still wasn’t ready so we asked for a refund. The guys in the office are extremely rude, laughing and mocking customer, we paid cash but they would only give us a check, then put special comments on the check to make it difficult to cash. Avoid this business, went two doors down to the next recycle center, bought the part for $ 100 less, staff was very polite and had the part loaded up in my truck in 10 mins.
