California Auto Dismantlers and Services

I bought an engine from them and they say that if I returned the core I would get $ 150 return. I returned the core and now they refuse to refund me the $ 150. There excuse is that the owner not in the store and so they can’t get a hold of him. I went back over 5 times and I am sick and tired of this bullshit. I call the owner’s phone and left plenty of voice mails. I was because robbed of $ 150. I will never do business with this shady place and I advise everyone to do the same.

I purchased a transmission for a hybrid Civic. Had spoke with a rep and we agreed on a price. When it came time to pay it was NOT the price we had agreed upon. They also tacked on another $ 200 core charge. OK fine whatever, I needed the part to get the job done. I came back a week later with the core. 3 weeks go by and they had not refunded my core fee. At this point I was done with them. I ended up calling my credit card company to dispute the charges. I am beginning to think all these Mickey Mouse dismantlers are owned by the same guy. Go to LKQ!

STAY AWAY! Do not leave your car here if you don’t have a replacement vehicle for At least 3 months. He is such a liar and so unreliable I can’t even believe he’s still in business. He told me it would take no more than 2 weeks to get my car back, now I don’t understand why you would take my vehicle if it’s gonna be untouched for over 2 months. And when I finally get my car back after 3 months of what I feel like «stalking» this man, it’s still not working! If I take my car to get the transmission fixed, I would expect it to be fixed! Not even a month later it’s making the same damn noise again. And so again I called this man again, he told me to come by Sunday (knowing auto shops are usually closed, he reassured me he would be there) so we drove 2 hours only to find out he isn’t there, and is ignoring all of my calls. Wasting my damn time! I am seriously considering a lawsuit. I have never been so disappointed with an establishment.

This place is pretty solid, I went in looking for rims for my car and bought some from a newer model which later found out had a different bolt pattern. Went back for a refund and was only given store credit unfortunately which is fine since some places don’t do refunds. So now I’m stuck with $ 280 in store credit. So if you need to buy something expensive from here give me a call 707 – 2 947 063 and I can sell you the store credit for cheap! I’ll even go with you to make sure it works out :)

When unexpecting things happen, you almost wouldn’t think twice of going to a place like this. But this is what happened when my friends car recently got broken into. Her passenger side glass was smashed while the thieves literally ripped out her entire center console in her vehicle just to steal a basic CD car stereo. This is where I searched for a place and came across «California Auto Dismantlers and Services»
Located in a more industrial area of Rancho Cordova about a ½ mile west of Sunrise Blvd. and a ½ mile north of Douglas Rd., «California Auto Dismantlers and Services» has a very impressive selection of various auto parts of some of the most popular vehicles; everything that ranges from engines, transmissions, bumpers/​fascias, grills, hoods, trunk lids, seats, and much, much more.
I arrived around 11:30am with my friend as I knew exactly what needed to be replaced on her vehicle. Luckily, one of the employees as well as the manager showed me the exact center console that fit her vehicle type! And best of all, the price he quoted me for this was only $ 110! But wait, there’s more! We also explained to him that the passenger side window was smashed to bits and pieces and that we were going to take it to a certified glass repair shop (which was going to charge her $ 125 for the new glass). The manager here only quoted her $ 60 for the glass for her vehicle!
I was literally shocked for two reasons; (1) is that they had both the replacement glass & center console in stock. And (2) to find out that this entire job would only cost her $ 170 (+tax) and $ 40 in labor. With something as catastrophic as a vehicle getting broken into, I would’ve at least expected this to be well over $ 700 (for total parts & labor). Many people that go to a car dealership or big name corporate chain get ripped off left and right. And little do they know about independent places like this one.
Overall, the only thing negative about «California Auto Dismantlers and Services» was that the entire job wasn’t completed until around 3:45pm. However, they were overwhelmingly swamped with customers as the phone was ringing off the hook during the whole time we were there. However, they were quick, efficient, and had my friends car looking presentable. So if this ever happens to you in the near future, I highly encourage you to give «California Auto Dismantlers and Services» a try!

The engine on my truck seized up. After calling several shops for estimates I came across this one. His price wasn’t too competitive but I was tired of looking and I wasn’t sure if the truck was worth fixing.
Well Guema kept call me telling me he could fix it no problem so after checking out the facility, I had mu truck towed there. He said he required $ 800 down which to me sounded sketchy but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Now that was in July. It is now December and he has yet to complete the job. He’s been giving me the run around and asking for more money down. He’s given me 6 completion dates. 2 of those dates my truck wasn’t even touched. The next 3 my engine was sitting untouched on a stand. He doesn’t return my calls unless you call 4 – 5 times in a row. I had to pay him an unexpected visit and demand a completion date in writing. At first he offered to return my money and my truck that was now in pieces. He came across like I was harassing him???
He told me he would have my vehicle finished on the 19 of December or he would give me 20% off. Well it’s now the 17 and once again no answer so now I have to drive 25 miles to check on the process. If Guema doesn’t get his business ethnics up to a level of professionalism I will be forced to take legal action against him. I have been more than patient with this gentleman.
