* MYCHILDDOESNOTATTENDTHEFACILITY, THISIS A REVIEWOFMYVISITTHERE* The first thing that put me off was the fact that anyone can open the door and be right in the room with the kids. There is absolutely zero safety measures for the entrance. Next, once we were in, the place was very chaotic and looked very old and run down. Could have used a fresh coat of paint. We went into the infant room and that’s when I was horrified. The floor where all the babies were crawling and walking was filthy. It looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in months and the woman who was watching the babies was walking around barefoot. The room was sparse and one child was only half dressed. There was no music playing and the kids looked bored. The toddler room was similar and I was told that the kids are not allowed outside until they are two. They also do not provide breakfast, which as a busy morning parent is a real let down. The place was so unstimulating and filthy, I felt really bad for the kids there.

I have been a teacher at Carousel for 30 years. First I was a parent. My son started at Carousel when he was 2years old. I now have my grandchildren there. We are seeing many second generation chldren coming to us. It is wonderful to see how well these children have done.

My granddaughter attended this daycare/school since she was 2 ½ months old(she is now 5 ½ and entering kindergarten) and would be still attending if she didn’t have to go to kindergarten. Kind, caring, positive nurturing atmosphere. Pre-K taught my granddaughter everything and more that she needed to be ready for Kindergarten. The staff and teachers were like an extended family, caring about my granddaughter and us. We miss them greatly! During school vacations during this Kindergarten year, my granddaughter returns to Carousel as needed for daycare and the experience for her is a bit like going home. Would HIGHLY recommend this daycare to anyone who requires daycare for their child! Not an impersonal daycare where the child is set before a tv, etc. The staff continually interact and care for their attendees and the child is never neglected.
