Cordova Casino

This is a cool little chill spot… I usually come with my girlfriends during Happy Hour, talk, and just have a good time. The food is okay-​greasy junk food, but it’s cheap… super cheap, and they have pretty good drinks.

The casino is nothing like a large casino, but it has a homely feel. The ambience was nice and warm. Staff is very friendly, the casino floor is clean. I didn’t see any trash on the ground, the bathroom is well kept and very clean. The restaurant and bar «The Lodge» was clean and the food and drinks are good. The parking lots are clean and there was minimal amount of trash on the ground. As for the table games, they are not your typical Black Jack and Poker, so ask the dealer how to play and they will be show you how to play them. So go have fun

PROS: Lobby greats you with arms wide open… Imagine a really nice fireplace just as you enter in from the front door on a cold evening… Imagine a great big smile welcoming you to their establishment… You get seated immediately, you order from a waitress that actually knows her menu, and would gladly suggest to you her fav item on the menu! WELL, you don’t have to imagine any of it once you enter into Cordova Restaurant Casino. We had that amazing experience just last night! Now, you’re full, you had that great dessert… YES, the warm cookie with vanilla ice-​cream and lots and lots of caramel swirled all around in between. and before you leave, you have another smile say, «Hope you enjoyed yourself, goodnight!» Wow! Kudos to the great customer service! You got my 5 stars!

Blackened Salmon is to die for. Quality beers on tap and if you haven’t met Tristan, you’re missing out.

Great facility great friendly staff! We had our Unilocal Halloween party here and it was phenomenal! Everything was so much fun the bartenders were great and the food was excellent! I have to come back and gamble because I did not gamble when I came here for the party… But I am definitely coming back! Karl is the supervisor here and he is very nice not trying to give him a review but hey he is great at what he does especially Johnny Eaton he is great as well!

It’s wonderful here last night. We’re here for the the Halloween party. The staff is super friendly and everything is fun! Parking is easy to find, great location. Food is great! Check it out

This is an ok casino, staff was friendly, games seemed possibly rigged a little but I am sure every casino is. Would like to come back and eat at the restaurant. Would be nice if they had more options, like slots and such.

This review is only about the food. Not sure what kind of meat that was but it was hard to enjoy with all that gravy on the plate. Shouldn’t the gravy be on top of the mash potatoes? My steak was swimming on it.

My review is strictly base on the food/​bar service, not the casino as a whole, I don’t gamble so yea-I’m not a cool guy lol. I come here a few times a year over the last 2 years or so, each time with various friends some who actually gamble and or just wanted to enjoy watching the nba playoffs. The food here is actual decent, as well as the wine/​beer selections. I don’t really drink that often, only during my social encounter with friends/​a few former classmates. With that said I’m not a wine expert by any means, peer pressure I guess lol. But any how this place is alright in my book even if you’re not a drinker still a good place to enjoy a nice night.

Great food and tons of beer on top. Blain the bartender is high larious. If you like spicy food get the sliders and ask him to make you cry.

This used to be my favorite card room, to just come in and play a few hours of Blackjack, not for the rules (They are horrible), but I really liked the vibe and the dealers were (and some are) great to hang around with, while you play. This is my last visit, because of one particular dealer, and his name is IKE.
I was playing blackjack at the table for about 2 hours, then Ike comes in, he starts of by greeting me with ‘I thought they kicked you out of here, a long time ago’, I did not say anything. He kept dealing, and after about a shoe, I decided to sit out for a shoe, he said that I better get up, because there are other players waiting to play, mind you no one was standing behind me, wanting to play. I just got up, took my chips, and headed over to the cage. I guess I am not one of their favorite players, because I simply don’t lose enough money? Keep in mind that its 6:5 Blackjack, witch means if you hit a blackjack and you have a $ 5.00 bet, instead of getting $ 7.50 back, you will get $ 6.00, it does not sound like much of a loss, but if you catch 3 blackjacks or more and you are betting $ 10.00 or more, you will lose more money, but I did not care, because up until last night (Friday) I had this unfortunate experience with Ike, I did not mind at all about the rules, because I really enjoyed spending time with the dealers.

The food is either hit or miss. Burgers can either be the bomb or suck. Great bar. Excellent beer selection. Salads are not great. It’s just a so so place. They have so many opportunities if they would cater to local lunch crowd. Typical working lunch in our area is 40 minutes. On average it takes 40 minutes from the time I sit down and order food until I receive my food. Not including travel time. So there’s one issue. Then the food is either great! Or completely sucks. When I get back to work witch is less than a mile away, it has easily been almost 1:30 — 2:00 hours! For shotty food!?! Sorry, unless things approve, we will not be back. By the way, staff is great but most likely underpaid and overworked!

We walk in about 1015pm and not one person asked if we needed assistance. The guy at the first game table just sat there looking at us while he played with his gambling chips.
A woman walked pass this table three times and just turned around each time. As if checking to see if we were still there. On her third trip around, we called her. Man talk about someone moving faster then light, she was gone. Disappeared. Vanished. Poof.
So we did our magick trick and walked right back out the door.
Never being acknowledged. Now that’s what I call great customer service when you do not want customers to return. So guess what, at this time I know I will not return to this location.

I like this place its pretty chill. This was my second time coming here, and this is my review for this place.
Me and my friend walked over to the bar and pull a sit and had some drinks. the beer here doesn’t cost that much which is awesome i would assume they do that so you can get wasted and gamble clever trick lol.
The woman who was are bartender was pretty nice to us i know your thinking that’s only because she wanted a tip but i dont think so she was just super chill to us the whole time which made my experience there a blast!!!
I usually don’t come to this casino alot but will keep it as a option to party at in the future forsure.

This is definitely a fun place to play card tables at… usually just play black jack but there is also poker, etc… really nice restaurant on one side of the place with good selection of drinks and beers on tap… always fun to try and win some $$$$.

This casino is solid for its fair priced beers and always has the UFC fights!
The atmosphere isn’t smoky and honestly it’s really clean and just kinda nice to be there – besides the typical bar feeling.
The review is not for the gambling… I’ve lost too many times to say anything kind, haha.
Bartenders are on point, and restrooms have speakers so when you gotta go you don’t miss the audio of the game/​fight.
Overall 4 stars, because the waitresses can be slow…

Worst service ever! Patrons many time to watch football. Good food but terrible drinks. Will probably never go back again for Monday night football. Ordered a margarita and it came to me w no salt, even though she asked twice if I wanted it, and it was clear like water. Wife’s wine pour was a 2 oz pour and the excuse was due to new stemless wineglasses. Ordered water and had to order it 3 more time as it was too much for the bartender to remember. Ordered food and not only did it come 45 min late, it was lacking a key ingredient. Very very disappointed.

The restaurant is modern, very nice… The food on the other hand, leaves a bit to be desired and it was not good enough to warrant another visit by me.

I had always been a huge fan and supporter of Cordova Casino. Their facility is clean and modern, relatively close to central Sacramento, filled with friendly faces, stocked to the brim with a selection of 99 beers at the bar, has some nice gaming tables and a restaurant filled with surprisingly tasty dishes. So why 2 stars instead of 5? Because they no longer hold daily no-​limit poker tournaments.
My friends and I used to come down 2 – 3 times a month and join in on a game with anywhere from 15 – 40 other people. It was the best environment for a friendly tournament in town. There were plenty of loyal customers who liked that welcoming feel as compared to the impersonal gaming at Capitol Casino or Thunder Valley. About a year back, I walked in on a weekday to try my luck and was shocked to discover the games had suddenly stopped. I asked a staff member why and he shrugged. To confuse matters more, their website took almost a year to be updated to reflect this, meaning I would call every once in a while with hopes raised only to find out the site «needs to be looked at.» And even today they have an online announcement about a daily tournament (still not true) along with a bunch of outdated or dead links. Are they purposefully trying NOT to get business?
Whatever the reason for ending daily poker tournaments (not enough staff, cost, etc.), I think it’s ultimately a bad decision when every card room in Sacramento, from the dingiest hall to the multi-​billion dollar casinos, has some sort of daily play. Hopefully they will update their website, start advertising some games more extensively and hopefully gain back some consistency and loyalty among customers.
