I love the food here. It is fresh, flavored, but not overpowering. Location makes it easy to reach during lunch.

This a great local Rancho joint that I have patronized for years. The food is excellent, the service quick and friendly. Because we are regulars, our server knows our order: Kung Pao chicken with pot stickers and fried rice. We get a booth and our food comes right out. The price is quite reasonable for the portion size too. Not fancy, just good food and good service at a great price.

Well the food wasn’t horrible, it just was not«out of this world.» The general chicken was too chewy and over cooked and the rice tasted very salty.

As far as Chinese food goes, I guess it’s ok. I actually felt like the fried rice needed salt, that’s a first for Chinese food that’s usually too salty. We ordered 3 orders of pot stickers, each order is supposed to be #6 pot stickers. Got home and found that we were shorted by 2. Not cool when the kids will only eat pot stickers and there are 3 kids who each want 6. One bite in and they felt that the insides were too pink and microwaved them. I felt that this food wasn’t really great. I quit going to Happy Palace because I didn’t love their customer service or food. I think I’ll keep looking for a new place. This one isn’t it.

The food was pretty standard chinese. Nothing was outstanding, but nothing poor. I would eat here again. Fair price and good portions.

Went there for the first time and I thought it was pretty good. It wasn’t absolutely fabulous but I’ve been having a hard time finding a good chinese food place in the area and I will admit I will return as eventhough it wasn’t fabulous it was better than all the other places in the area that Ive tried. Also they had a reasonably priced combination plate.

The Lots of Luck Café is way better than this and they serve food Panda Express style. I ordered a lunch special. Sesame chicken, pork fried rice, chicken chow mein, and an egg roll. The sesame chicken was over fried and tasted like old oil. It was also not fully coated in the sauce. The rest of the meal was average for a Chinese food place. I went here to try some other Chinese food near my work, but there are just not very many good Chinese options around Prospect Park. The service was okay. Friendly and relatively quick. It wasn’t busy though.

It’s clean looking but very dull when you walk in. The hostess, was not the hostess with most. Throughout my dry visit I took home dry food. I tried this spot on a recommendation. I just do not know what they saw in the food. I spent 18 bucks and got a combo plate that had fried rice, broccoli & beef, orange chicken(well…some type) of orange chicken. Then an a la cart order of beef chow mien because of course that was not and option! It was not an option for any of the combo plates. …blank stare… All of it was below par! Plain and simple I spent way too much money on this food! I do not recommend this place. I bought this meal for my son who loves Chinese .We don’t get out to eat often and this was a true dissapointment! I wish I had a do over!

Went with friends. Had family dinner for 3. There was so much food we really could have went with a dinner for 2. The food was ok. Not bad but not the best I’ve had. Broccoli beef was the best dish and the wonton soup was quite good others were soso.

When I have family over and do not want to cook it go to Sunny lees. Their family dinners are a great value and are really good also. Tip. If you are ordering for 3 you can really feed 4 or 5.

Combo plate– the chow mein was ok, the sweet n sour pork and fried prawns were pretty bad. Prawns were fishy smelling, and the pork just tasted bad.

There are some exceptionally good things and some that fall into the range where I would pass. It’s close to work and is a relatively frequent lunch option. The service is friendlier than most. It’s pretty direct and hits the requirements for a quick efficient lunch. I really enjoy the Now Nam(mien or over rice). The beef is always lean and braised to a very savory flavor in a very tasty gravy. The Marpoo is really tasty and the Shanghai noodles hit the spot as well with a nice kick of curry heat. The lunch combinations look enticing but I have found most to be lack luster and overly directed to the palates of those who want their food greasy /fried and in large quantities. Instead I stick to rice plates or soups. Not the soups that come with the rice plates(those tend to be bland). The war won ton, Now Nam mien or any of the noodle soups are always delicious. The seasonal specials are great as well. I really enjoy the asparagus and green bean dishes. Lately I have also started to just order an entrée with steamed rice to get a little more tasty food and skip the bland cup of soup(this often results in enough food for a light dinner as well). Overall It’s solid, well prepared food at a very fair price for lunch.

Very enjoyable place that I have continued to come back to over the years to the point that the waitress knows me and my coworkers preferences based on our orders. They even allow us to make variations to our orders(i.e. Adding extra soy sauce to our chow funn, add jalapeños to our order for some kick, an order of now nom over wonton) When time is limited we always call ahead and our order is ready to eat by the time we get here. It’s always a pleasure eating here.

Had a hankering for Chi food last night(10÷23÷14) and couldn’t afford Kim’s. Plus, I wanted bigger portions and better food so I was reading the reviews on Sunny Lee’s vs. Lot’s of Luck. Sunny Lee’s is closer, so off we went. We googled the menu first, and decided what we wanted — then my boyfriend skated down to order and take to-go. We live about a ½mi away and he was back within the hour. Our order: 10 Cream cheese wontons($ 6 or so) Shrimp egg foo young($ 7 or so) Vegetable chow mein($ 6 or so) General’s chicken plate w/rice($ 8 or so) I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I will never go back to Kim’s AGAIN. OMG. The portions were GREAT, not too much, but worthy of noting. Chow mein wasn’t overly oily, and the noddles were perfectly thick, dense and fluffy and full of flavor. Could have used more vegetables, but the noodles were so tasty I didn’t even care. Shrimp foo young was AMAZING. I expected 1 omelette, but got 3 huge ones, and tons of delicious yummy extra gravy that I used to pour over my chow mein. Didn’t try the General’s but the smell of my boyfriend’s G.C. made my tummy growl, even during my after-chow-mein-food-coma. Wontons were decent. Folded over in half, but I LOVE that I could tell they were made in-house, and not previously frozen. I really appreciate that in an establishment. Seriously my new favorite. I will not be going anywhere else unless it’s Hop Sing in Folsom.

My boyfriend and I came here for an early dinner. We were craving a good Asian cuisine, something homemade. If we wanted something frozen we would’ve gone to Panda Express but we really should’ve went here instead! When we walked in the décor was horrid but we figured the smaller family owned restraunts end up having the best food. We waited a good 10 minutes before we were greeted. A girl came out to give others their food but didn’t acknowlege us. When we were finally seated we were automatically given water and a pretty delicious green tea. The green tea was probably the only fresh item on their menu. We ordered potstickers, sweet&sour chicken and chicken chow mein. Before even biting into the potstickers we knew they were frozen. It had a very rubbery tough feel, nothing homeade. The sweet&sour wasn’t much better. The chicken was frozen and fried and they simply threw some sauce on top, they didn’t even care to toss the chicken in it. Finally the chicken chowmein was the same thing as the potstickers. Cold and rubbery. Needless to say this was not worth spending $ 20 on. Service was OK, food was crap, looking for cheap chinese? Your best bet it so take your money to Panda Express!

We ordered their Singapore noodles and chow mein for dinner one night. Their Singapore noodles were like a curried noodle. If you don’t like spicy, stay away from this dish. I was disappointed that nowhere on the menu was there mention of this dish being spicy; unless you know what Singapore noodles are, you wouldn’t know that this dish was spicy. Their chow mein noodles were big and the chow mein itself was gooey. I like my chow mein noodles thin and more on the dry side like at Panda. On a positive note, though, their portions are huge and their prices are very affordable. My husband ordered this as take-out and mentioned to me that their service was very good, too. Though the food was lacking in my book(to me it felt like it was more about quantity rather than quality), they still get three stars from me.

I’ve dined in a few times for lunch at this place. Each time I was greeted within seconds. It’s the same two waitresses every time. Place is neat but they’ll try to seat you towards the left side in one of the booths first, which is fine with me. The area isn’t the best but that’s not a concern of mine. The place seems clean enough to eat at. Food: I’ve ordered the #1 off of the lunch menu, kung pao chicken and wonton soup(three different trips of course :]). So the chicken from the #1 lunch menu is DELICIOUS! The fried rice and chow mein isn’t all that great… they’re a little plain. They gave me a choice of the oily pepper or sriracha when I ask for hot sauce but I really wanted the chili garlic sauce. I love how they give me a small bowl of wonton soup with two wontons with a meal :) Their kung pao chicken is okay. I wouldn’t order that again but I gave it a try since I thought it would be somewhat spicy. The wonton soup was okay. I was kind of sick at the time that I ordered the soup but I still had my taste buds. The wontons could be tastier. The broth was a plain. Service: Food always come out warm and fast. Waitresses are attentive. You won’t leave the place without hearing one of them saying«Thank You!» Which is always nice. Price: The amount of food for the price is very reasonable though. They don’t overprice their food. They accept cards and cash. Overall, I would return to order the #1 lunch special. :)
