Superb Burger

Closed though no explanation and the hours of operation say open. Is there some burger joint conspiracy!!!

I have been here many times, for many years. The burgers and fries are great! It has that homemade touch and taste… not like your typical fast-​food place. The place seems a little out-​dated, it has that classic look (50’s era). Nonetheless, the staff is always friendly, and happy to serve! They have a good sized menu – lots to choose from, and a TV to keep you entertained.

So I came here for the first time I ordered 2 different specials, the superb burger, and a mushroom swiss burger. Now I am a burger girl I love a good burger. I took it down to four stars because it is a bit pricey for what you get.
Another reason is their soda cups are small and the soda did not taste right. The fries well just average joe burger joint fries nothing to rave about. However the burger was nice, just the right crunch around the toasted buttery bun that was extremely fresh, a nice thick burger the pastrami on it was fresh and tender. My Mushroom burger was very good as well. They do nickel and dime every little thing. Extra condiments are .25 and she accidently gave me 3 straws and said ooh no need for that I am sorry and snatched it out of my box lol but hey the costs of restaurants are very high.

Burgers and fries are good. Very good place to eat for lunch.

They are never as busy as they should be. I get serious cravings for the superb burger. The charbroil flavor of the burger with the pastrami is the best mix ever. Soooo good and really great prices for such high quality. I also tried one of their grilled pastrami sandwiches recently which was amazing. Cheaper and waaaay better than a Togo’s pastrami sandwich. I really love this place.

Let me start with — I do not like burgers much — I just don’t. But these burgers — I adore. In fact they are the only burgers I will eat.
I love the french fries and the staff is always so friendly. I definitely recommend this place (especially if you’re a pregnant lady looking for your next craving!)

Been shopping. Tired & hungry and saw this place. Pretty empty as it was after lunch and before evening rush/​dinner time. Ordered the small pastrami — not sure what I’d get. I was surprised by the taste. The bun was good and the pastrami was tender and an adequate amount considering it was only $ 2.99. The sandwich was dressed with cheese — maybe Swiss), lettuce, red onion, pickles and mustard. Overall quite tasty and with a large iced tea, $ 5.15. Good value, tasty food, a clean environment and longevity in this place deserves 5 stars from me.

Tried this place on a 9.99 mailer special. The hamburger patty was way to thin and a bit over cooked. The bun was light and very good. Vegetables were ample and fresh. If I were ever to eat here again, I would have to get two patties. Other than that the meat to bread ratio is off. Staff were very friendly and conversational.

For simplicity, consistency (I first came here in 1999) and affordable burgers, chicken and salads. I enjoy stopping here every now and then for a great tasting lunch.

My all time favorite burger joint since the 80’s …never dissapointed. Great bacon burgers and the best onion rings and fried mushrooms ever!

I love their Mushroom Burger Special. First off, it is ongoing Forever! Every single time I go there, they still have that same special. Good. Cause it’s amazing, that’s why. Aside from that the people there are very friendly. 5 Stars!

Big, delicious burgers. Good prices. Fresh produce. Friendly staff. Yes, the décor is dated, but com’on, its a locally owed burger joint, not a national chain we are talking about here, so get past that, support a locally owed business and go have a burger. Shakes and fries are great too. :)

I’ve been here once and all that I can remember was that the food was just average, and I had to wait a fair amount of time for my food.
The reason this place gets 1 star is because they constantly come out to my work place and put fliers on our cars with coupons. They do it every month or so, and it is quite annoying to have to take it out and toss it. I do not appreciate this type of intrusive advertising and it only makes me NOT want to come here.

The only reason this is not getting a 5 star rating from me is because of the décor. The food is 5 stars for sure. Staff is friendly but the burgers are definitely what it’s all about here. This was my 2^nd visit and I’m definitely going to frequent this burger joint. I think with a small investment in the interior design and advertising this place would be packed to the windows with satisfied patrons. Keep up the great work.

I always get Mushroom Burger Special w/​th fries and coke. Quality burger for cheap. I always leave full. And they have a TV. lol
Next time i want to try the bacon wrapped hot dog.

Your typical burger joint, nothing to fancy but they have a TV.
The service is always very friendly and efficient.
The burger are pretty decent, but the extras a must; Mushrooms, Pastrami, Bacon, etc.
I love the zucchini fires.
The prices are pretty reasonable.
I ‘ve been here a dozen or so times so far.

OK first is the most important — what everyone typically wants to know about a burger joint is their burgers; I have to say… it was VERY decent. BUT again I have to use Unilocal’s own classification and call it… «Meh… I’ve had better» and give it 2-​stars. I mean, would I have it again? Hell yeah. Price was right on par with what I got (except for onion rings but I’ll get to that): I had their «Superb Burger» for $ 4.69 (comparatively speaking — the «Double Char» at The Habit is like $ 4.50 if I’m not mistaken and there wasn’t anything special about it besides having two patties). Both places char broil their burgers. SB’s «Superb Burger» however had PASTRAMI which does kick it up a notch (not a huge amount but noticeable). Since we’re comparing the two joints… the patty at this place was nice and thick, something like what you (as a guy) would form at home — I mean let’s face it, no self-​respecting guy would form their patties like McDonald’s, IN-n-OUT’s, The Habit’s, or even Smash Burger’s… they’re just too puny — am I right? And their onion rings were crunch… but the smooth texture version as opposed to the crunch, bread-​crumbly coating from TH, AND TH gives ranch dressing with it (even to-​go) — so for me the point for onion rings have to go to TH (as well TH’s price was $ 1.99, while SB’s was $ 2.50 — so win/​win for me). If only I had time to get the Onion rings at TH then drive to SB for their burger — that would be a lunch.
–Oh since we’re talking about price, SB has this coupon that they gave with my order for $ 1 off any $ 5… this would have basically made my burger $ 3.69, which is a hell-​o-​va deal for a burger of their size and quality.

Oh — and the bread… it held up just find even with all the fresh veggies… yet was very airy and light — the perfect combination.
I just wish they had Jalapeños or fried eggs I can through on it too…
So in short — yeah I’d probably go back — even as a «regular», but only because it’s a pretty damn good deal for a very decent burger (especially with the coupon).
The atmosphere, which is secondary in my opinion, is not something to write home about… the chairs are a bit ripped and surfaces are kinda sticky — probably from years of soda spills. But hey, it’s a burger joint, what-​do-​yah-​expect?

I thought they always give out those coups but I guess they don’t… They didn’t on my last visit. So there goes the «deal» factor… maybe it WILL be tough to be a «regular» at this place after all.

I walked in at 8:50pm, hoping I wasn’t going to get that look from the staff… that «damn, we close in 10 minutes» annoyed look. Instead I got a genuinely friendly welcome from the cashier and the cook. Plus stars for their kindness & humor! Minus ½ star for 2 of the drink choices being out of order. Minus ½ star for a thin (albeit, delicious) patty. I’m a big fan of the charbroiled burger, and this place doesn’t disappoint. I just wished I ordered a bigger burger. I thought I was ordering a big one since I got the 2 «giant cheeseburger» special (includes 2 large fries & 2 regular drinks– $ 9.99!!!), but it somehow seemed kinda small on their big & tasty bun. The fries were awesome.
When I picked up my order at 9:05pm, the cook asked if it was my first time here. To my yes, he replied enthusiastically, «you’re going to love it!»
And I did.
