The techniques and tactics are extremely effective. The instructors are very knowledgable and generous.

For over 10 years of Martial Arts experience, and as a Filipino and a pure martial artist/fighter i’m proud to say that i’m part of this deadly art that i can call my own straight out from the mother land. This is the most practical and the most effective martial arts that ever come out. Every instructor here is very knowledgable and i’m very grateful for them to come out here to the states to spread the art as i’ve been waiting for them ever since i heard about Yaw Yan. I’ve trained in TKD and Muay Thai for many years. At first I thought that this was a blend of the two but after understanding the movements I realized that this a true indigenous Filipino martial art derived from stick fighting. I feel I can truly express myself while practicing Yaw-Yan. This art flows with devastating attacks from all angles. The power comes from speed and centripetal force similar to Caproiera. Besides being a very effective art the instructors are real pros who have been training all their lives. They enjoy sharing their knowledge and are respectful. If you are tired of mainstream kickboxing like you see in the UFC or wanting to add more illusive striking to your stand up this is the place to be.

Great kickboxing style, there’s no other like this in Sacramento. Everyone helps eachother, the trainers motivate you, push you, and never let you down. 100% positive Mon — Sat and they make you feel like family always have fun but we do put in work. I recommend everyone to try it even if you are not local, it’s worth the trip I can guarantee, you will be surprised.

Very organized, respectful, and very good with direction! Sanitation is great! They do it every morning. Everyone is very friendly as well. If you want a great cardio workout this place will definitely provide that for you! Along with learning great self defense skills!

It seems as if every martial art was considered in the term «MMA» Bjj, Muay Thai, kickboxing, and wrestling. Those are the staples, right? Yaw yan is the most underrated art, in my opinion. I feel like no one knows about it, yet it’s so effective and unique in its own way compared to kickboxing and Muay Thai. This gym teaches legit yaw yan by legit instructors who are from the Philippines. It’s as authentic as it gets ! The owner of the gym frequently travels to the Philippines looking for the best of the best and brings them to sacramento to teach traditional Filipino martial arts. I don’t think there’s anywhere else in Sacramento that does that. The members are here to learn and better themselves each and everyday. No ego involved. If you or someone you know is interested in learning this great art, head on by to yaw yan Ardigma sacramento, you won’t be disappointed ;)
