As I’m standing in line and trying to purchase something. The cashiers are ignoring me not saying a word to me. Not even a «I’ll be right with you» understand one lady is helping someone at cashier already but can’t even say«I’ll be right with u» and the other cashier is just starring at me rolled her eyes and walk off to the back room and she was wearing the store glasses with the tag on it and 10 min later she walk back to the cashier and said sorry I didn’t know u were purchasing anything when it was clear all my items were on the counter waiting to pay for them ! Her name was Dionne something like that

7:00PM on a Thursday night. I have a pack of Q-tips and some apple juice, there is nobody else in the store or in the fron for that matter. I place my items and the cashier has a binder in her hands and says I’ll be right with you… 1 minute goes by, then 2, 3, 4… 5, my toddler starts to get restless, 7, 8, 9… NEVERMIND. I LEFT. She stood there and made me wait as if she was so busy. I never complain about waiting, specially when it is busy and there are on one or two cashiers ringing up a herd of people but this is was just rude, nobody else in the store or in the front… And she just stood there. Took my humble money elsewhere. I love big lots but this location sucks.

I used to think Big Lots was really unorganized with nonexistent customer service. However, I’ve noticed they’ve gotten better(even the one I go to in Duarte has improved). What do I come to Big Lots for? Hmmm, well I buy most of my White Elephant gifts here.(usually our budget is $ 20 – 25). I end up buying kitchen appliances like a hand mixer, rice cooker, cupcake maker, popcorn machine or any other bake-ware. I also got my gift bags and Christmas lighting from Big Lots this year. They also have solar powered lights for your yard. They have inexpensive electronics(computer speakers, USB, DVDs, hairdryers). Once in a while, I’ll buy my spices, canned goods, towels, dog supplies(dog bed), and storage bins here. I also get all my paper plates, cups here for my parties.(Christmas or Hawaiian themes etc) and tupperwear(they carry Rubbermaid!) So overall, I’ve been pretty satisfied with the items I’ve been able to find here and they are at a reasonable price. I also saw they had green tea on sale(usually $ 0.99) and they were selling for like $ 0.59. 4⁄100 Reviews for 2014

I don’t know why I keep coming back to this place! Blame it on being right across the street, and my being too lazy to drive to Walmart. The store is always messy and dirty looking, random things are stacked everywhere, and a lot of the smaller items are available at the Dollar Tree for, well, 1 dollar(duh) The entire atmosphere is a bit depressing, I don’t even enjoy browsing here, especially since I always wind up walking out with over-priced junk. The only reason to come here is if you want a specific big ticket item from their ads, they do have the occasional steal!

I like this Big Lots location. It’s not too hectic, and it’s a pretty good sized store with pretty good selection. There are some other locations in the area which are better for some specific things(like Fourth St. Ontario for food, or Foothill in Upland for homewares), but this is a good all-around store, plus it’s located near other shopping places so you can lump your errands together.(Like haircut, Big Lots, Albertson’s, Panda Express whirlwind tour.) Recommendation: go to buy baggies, soap, detergent, sponges, and other household items that cost way more at other places.
