Ok, first off, this is Crown Books. Second, this is an overstock/relocation/liquidation sale. Third, WHYWOULDYOUBECOMPLAINING?! Generally, I don’t frequent book stores because they’re overpriced for paper with text wrapped in a fancy schmancy cover that you forget about; and I’m slightly terrified of creased books. That’s right, creased books… it gives me the heebie jeebies. Anyway, they’re desperately selling whatever is left in this shop(which is a lot, they’re always filling up the bookselves)! $ 1 for all paperback books(comics, self-help, brand new, pre-owned, etc.) and $ 2 for all hardcover books(cookbooks, reference books, etc). They’re also selling weird leftover Halloween decorations, movie posters, and Scarlett Johansson cut outs for all your nerdy fantasies(these are discounted too). I don’t expect much coming into Crown Books, not newly published books, nor dictionaries that are updated with text lingo, but every time I come out of the store, I’m $ 11 short. I go nuts over the cookbooks and comics, it’s just so cheap and in great condition. Employees here are absolutely helpful as can be and everything is nicely stocked. SO, 5 stars for great $ 1 and $ 2 goods that can fill your bookshelves in no time. I don’t know how long this store will be open or if they really are relocating, but it doesn’t hurt to check it out. Happy readings :)

This place is wonderful if you’re trying to find an old book at a lower price. Their selection is quite limited. I found myself walking through the aisles looking at books I’d never heard of. They have 2013 calendars for $ 5, so I picked one up for myself. Overall I would concur that the best way to describe this place is to say that it’s like the Goodwill of bookstores.

I went in there twice since this former Borders reopened as a Crown. It’s really just a shell of its former self – no more coffeeshop, no restrooms, no magazines(at least I didn’t see any) There’s just not that much in here. No new books, mostly older/out-of-print titles that you can probably get from Amazon, or Better World Books… If you are looking for kids stuff there are a few children’s books, and a decent selection of wooden puzzles/toys. But other than that, don’t bother.

This place is just sad. The Borders that was here was actually quite nice with a great selection. This Crown Books, while being a liquidation place, just plain out sucks. It doesn’t seem like any new books are coming in and, as for the current selection, well, they have a Small Soldiers coloring book there. I’ll give you a moment to go through the dark corners of your memory or Wikipedia. Still Searching? You’re back? Okay, continuing on… Like I mentioned, it’s sad to see that a really nice mall and a formerly good store is now a crappy ghost town of a store. The only positive aspects are that the employees seem not to be rejects from the worst Wal-Mart in existence like you would imagine so and the store’s fairly clean and organized. It’s probably due to no one giving a shit. To summarize, if this Crown Books was at a crappier mall, it would still be one of the crappiest stores there. But because it’s at a nice mall(and this coming from someone who dislikes malls), it’s the equivalent of seeing a pretty supermodel who’s bulimic ass forgot to wipe all of the vomit off her face.
