I have been looking for a Chinese food restaurant that matches the quality of what I’m used to back home(on the east coast) and this place not only does that, they’ve exceeded it! Kung Fu Wok even blows away the local popular«trendy» chains that offer Chinese fare. It’s only taken me 2 years to find this place but since I have, I’ll always choose Kung Fu Wok over all the other local options here in Rancho.

This is literally the best tasting food within a 2 mile radius. A little expensive, but you get what you pay for.

This was the first time I tried this place. It’s close to home and I picked up lunch to go. I was not impressed. Mushroom chicken had pieces of unidentifiable chicken with fatty skin attached. My dogs got the chicken. I love cream cheese wontons but these had a sweet taste… not good. I won’t go back!

I have been here twice. First time was for lunch: had eggplant, supposed to be spicy, with rice. Eggplant was tasty enough but(bad news) it was very oily. Good news: the oil was fresh and the eggplant tasted ok and the texture was good, especially with a little rice. Second time we dropped between 40 – 50 $ on dinner. Sweet and sour chicken, spicy eggplant, three meat noodles, steamed rice, veg egg rolls, soup(egg flower), maybe something else. Not impressed. The food is made to order, but sauces are very gloppy and oily. Disappointing. I *have* had much better elsewhere. BUT they are open on Mondays, when every other Chinese restaurant we checked(3 others) was closed. I guess it is tolerable if you don’t know better. If perchance I happen to visit again, I will make sure to ask that they go as lightly as possible on the oil. Not recommended, unless you are desperate.

Food was really very good, and it was cooked to order and fresh! I definitely recommend the hot sour soup, string beans, and orange chicken. The waitress was helpful and kind, which i appreciate very much, because i really hate rude waiters/waitresses. Our family passed by on our way to Palm Springs. I am glad we stopped! Will definitely come back again on the way back home.

Ordered chicken lo mien and hot and sour soup to go. Food was hot, delicious and plentiful. Service was friendly and prices were low considering the ample amount of food they give you. Food is cooked to order. Takes about 10 mins for small orders.

The last time I came it they had the usual to-go style buffet where you get your combo plates in the Styrofoam boxes. This is great for our family of 4. The price is good and so is the amount of food. They have done a complete remodel and now it’s almost like a dine-in place. Don’t get my wrong, it looks great, but I was expecting the old style. I figured I’d gie it a go. I ordered some of the items I usually get with thr combo meals and it came to 3 times the amount I usually spend. My jaw dropped to the floor. I cut some things or and still ended up paying an amount I was not initially intending to pay. I guess they need to offset the cost of renovations. I’m not sure yet if I’ll be back. Unless I come with a group of hungry adults and we go family style. I’m a little sad that it’s hard to find descent Chinese food with the to-go combo plates like I’m used to.

I wanted to love this place since it is so close to home but they fall short. Ordered food online for pickup on my way home from work put in a pick up time but they had food ready 40 min before the scheduled time. Luckily I got off early. The food was chewy and tasted like old oil. I love cheap Chinese food but this does not fit the bill for price or quality. I recommend Mr. You express off Highland. lower rating on Unilocal but it is way better.

We ordered beef brocolii and kung pao chicken… it was more like kung pao celery… overpriced for the quality. Not to mention the girl behind the counter was rude… she treated us quite frankly, like we just didn’t belong in the restaurant… didn’t offer us a seat and instead said«this is to go right…» the place was completely empty but to be honest we had the poor mexican look going… what she didn’t know is that i had spent the entire night in the er with my daughter. well, never going to that place again. Customer service IS important and you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.

I was skeptical about this place when they replaced my beloved Tai Pei Express(RIP). The first few times I came here, the food was alright, but in the year or so since the quality has definitely improved. They’ve hired new front of house people, so in my experience there isn’t a language barrier problem. Since they dropped the hot bar and cook everything to order the quality of the food has definitely improved, and it’s warm and tastes nice. They have some problems with custom orders, but if you order straight off the menu it’s not something you’ll have to deal with(and something I’ve never had to deal with). They don’t have orange chicken. edit they added orange chicken so now they get five stars

I ordered the wonton soup. And there was only 2 wontons… I was expecting at least 6 for it being called«wonton soup».

This restaurant has THEWORST service ever. I don’t know how they are still in business when they disregard their customers & tell them they are wrong. First rule of service, your customer is always right.

Don’t waste your time going to or ordering from this place. The food was dry and flavorless. An order of BBQ pork consisted of a total of six(6) pieces of a dry meat like substance… maybe pork, maybe not? Each piece was no larger than 2″ diameter and had a jerky like consistency. The fried rice was bland and dry. The orange chicken was also dry and chewy. The spring rolls were probably made last spring and kept under a heat lamp for past four months. When I mentioned the shortcomings of the BBQ pork, the server was unapologetic and defensive. No offer was made to rectify the situation. The only upside of the poor quality of the food was that the portions were small.

Nice atmosphere; small, quiet, nothing too fancy. They have an animated menu, I was hypnotized. The girl behind the register was extremely nice, smiled more than I’m used to at a fast(er) food restaurant, and was generous with the portions. I wish I caught her name to put her in the review, she worked at 12pm on 6÷15÷14. Everything looked delicious, even the items set out for combination plates. I had the mushroom chicken and string bean chicken with half rice half & chow mein. Thick chunks of veggies, surprisingly good quality meat, this place would definitely have received 5 stars if it hadn’t been for aftertaste and the headache that followed. MSG! The bane of my Chinese food existence. On the bright side, at least I’ll be hungry again in an hour. If you don’t have an MSG sensitivity, definitely check this place out. They deliver for a 15 $ minimum.

above the average fast food Chinese but, ordering a separate entrée was very pricey. So just order combo and get the already prepared entrees. the food here was fresh and tasty. server was not that helpful when I asked about moo goo gai pan. she just told me to look at the to go menu which did not help me at all.

Excellent food, pleasantly impressed by the quality, considering its in a shopping center and not a sit-down restaurant. The employees and the owners are Very pleasant, place is clean and the food tastes fantastic. Web tried it twice this week, and both times everything was cooked to order and very quickly with exceptional quality! I may even use them to cater some of my parties.
