I have been going to this Lucille’s location for dine-in and take-out since it first opened and have always had a exceptional experience with the staff and the food. Unfortunately, my last experience was horrible! I ordered take-out over the phone and was told it would be ready in 20 to 25 minutes. After arriving 15 minutes later to a full lobby, I excitedly waited in line for my to-go BBQ order, paid, and hurried back to the hotel to eat. I unpacked the meal and to my disappointment, EVERYTHINGWASCOLD! The entire meal from the ribs to the biscuits were let out of the kitchen with absolutely no regard for quality control or the customer in mind. I had to microwave, I repeat microwave, a meal that was just picked-up and paid almost $ 40.00 for. UNBELIEVABLE! This is no fault of the person who took the order or the person who gave me my meal because the did their jobs perfectly. All of the fault goes to the«Kitchen Manager» and the General Manager for not doing their jobs. They trusted their cooks to let a substandard and inferior product leave their kitchen and get out to the customer. UNACCEPTABLE! I hope that they fix the internal issues that they are obviously experiencing and that this is just an isolated incident that did not ruin too many family’s Sunday meal. Nonetheless, they should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen in the first place and taking hard earned money from unsuspecting customers with high-expectations and standards. Come on guys, you’re better than this!

Get ready to spend some money, but man o man its allll worth every penny. This place is one of the best restaurants in so. Cal let alone rancho. I eat here once a month and get a variety of things. But my favorite is the bbq chicken.

When Lucille’s opened and it was our first visit, it was the most scrumptious beef ribs and BBQ that I had so far. Then as years by, my family and I wanted to go there for lunch since we haven’t been there for months. We waited for the usual wait time and then got seated in the small room near the patio and sat in the middle table. We had our waiter take our orders and then waited usually 10 –15 min. Our fried green tomatoes came out and those were delicious. Then our meals comes out but I had to keep asking for my grits since I ordered that on the side. The chicken and the salads we ordered were delicious as usual however, we had to wait and keep asking the waiters to bring us some more dressings for the salad and then finally my grits came out and I was almost full. We didn’t have our water cups refilled, did not come by to check on us, and we had to keep asking 3 – 5 different people. Overall, the food was great but the service was TERRIBLE. It is like they have lost their touch in great service. I don’t know why the waiters don’t like the little room, even that middle table. It was also the second time that we sat in that EXACT table and the waiters around us were paying more attention to the guests around that middle table. You will see us again, eventually, but I will never sit in that middle table in the little room EVERAGAIN.

Lucile’s is burnt. Bus boss’s didn’t clear the surrounding tables for 2 hours because they’re such boss’s. You don’t receive privileged service unless your last name is Johnson.

Oh man. 2 hour average wait everytime. But the food is SOOOOO worth it. They smoke it for over 24 hrs. Ive been there twice because i hate waiting. All their sauce is to kill for. They start you off with some fresh yummy bisquits with this amazingly tasting almond butter. We got the beef ribs, tri tip, brisket ends, deep fried okra, onion strings. Mac and cheese is okay. Corn was white corn. The fries are thin and crispy which i LOVE. Their drinks are so big usually cant finish but they are willing to give you a whole big one to go as well. Fantastic service both times and live music!!! A bit pricey but a definite must try if you love bbq or southern food.

If you haven’t been here you must come if your craving BBQ it’s a must try. The biscuits are one of my favorite biscuits ever and the utter they bring compliments them so well. I tried the backyard with two meats(brisket & tri tip) but you can pick your two meats. It also comes with a half chicken and 2 sides. It is a lot of food but great as leftovers. The chicken is so juicy and moist. I got the Mac n cheese and it was just ok, but the garlic potatoes made up for the lack of flavor in the Mac. My girlfriend for the cheesy grits and omg they were the most delicious grits I have ever had. This place gets really packed so I would make a reservation online to avoid the 1 – 2 hour wait. Oh and if you have room I would try the cobbler wow.

Who doesn’t love a great BBQ place. This place has a little bit of everything and then some. How many BBQ places can you get watermelon as a side item! The BBQ is smoked in house and you can tell the know what they are doing. The restaurant has a great Blues Music theme(Not named after BB Kings guitar). They offer a great selection of local beers on tap! Come hungry because you will leave stuffed!

We ordered a family pack to go for the Super Bowl game and it was so good! It came with a tray of fries, chicken, ribs, and a bag of their biscuits. By a tray, I meant a tray full of each, so three trays of food lol. They also have a choice of two sides and we picked cole slaw and mashed potatoes. It’s just as good as when you order and dine at the restaurant. We called a few hours ahead and asked for a 12:30 pickup. The meat flakes off the bone and it’s so juicy. I don’t like bbq sauce but their sauce is amazing. A bottle of their sauce came with the family pack too. We also ordered their fried pickles cause those are always amazing

Waited over 2 hours to be seated & watched many people seated before us. The food was really good but the portions weren’t worth the high prices. Our server was okay she just seemed to get bothered when we would ask for more bread. Would give it another try just because the food was so good, but wouldn’t go out of our way to do so.

Cleanliness 4 Cost 3 Cuisine 4 Customer service 4 If you like bbq, then this could be the place for you. Make sure you make a reservation because this place is always packed. I ordered the beef ribs with two sides. The ribs were great. The sides were a little on the small portion size but other than that it was good. It is kind of pricey… But i’d still recommend.

Lucille’s never fails when it comes to their food. My favorites are the barbecue chicken, tri-tip and Mac and cheese. But probably the best part about Lucille’s is their free unlimited biscuits that come with apple butter spread. TIP: If you’re gonna eat here on a weekend, you should definitely make a reservation!

My family and I went here for Thanksgiving dinner. We had reservations, but they allowed walk ins that night. It was PACKED. Luckily, with our reservations we were seated right away. Not sure why Lucille’s is stylized as a Southern BBQ place when it’s really based out of Long Beach, CA haha. Nonetheless, I think their BBQ is good, as well as their infamous biscuits, which I am a big fan of. One thing I found out about those biscuits? They are made with sweet potatoes, which make them super delicious. That night I got a tri tip plate, served with garlic mashed potatoes and these corn cheese grits, I believe. I wasn’t a fan of the mashed potatoes but the corn cheese grits side(?) was amazing, I loved it. Also the tri tip was cooked perfectly. The plate was so big, I probably could have shared it with another person and we would have both been full. In fact, each of the plates were ordered could have served 2 people. So yes, big portions. I was able to sample my family’s plates as well. sausage, pulled pork, chicken, and more. and all were pretty good. Service wasn’t the most helpful but it was a really busy night that night, so it’s all good. Overall, we had a good experience with good food(and leftovers too!)

Yes, it’s a chain, but GDI I LOVEMESOMELUCILLE’S! With all this holiday and work eating, I’ve been trying to watch my intake, especially at night for dinner. But when I hear«Let’s go to Lucille’s!», I fail every time. No matter what location I go to, it’s always consistently delicious and diet breaking good! Tonight I ordered the BBQ chicken(Dark meat), a corn on the cob, and mash potatoes in light of my diet. Chicken’s healthy, right? Well, the chicken was perfectly done(as usual), tender, juicy and the sauce was wonderful – just a little bit of tang and perfect sweetness. The cotc was crunchy without being undercooked. They nailed it per normal, and the mash potatoes were creamy heaven. There’s a reason this chain is so successful, and I’m always glad to discover why each time. Tip for the locals(Hawaiians): Make rice at home, order the full slab take out, with beans and corn. Get home and kanak attack! mahalo again Lucilles!

Awesome, awesome awesome! … they were packed tonight on a Tuesday, we had a a party of 15 and the server seemed to be a little(alot) overwhelmed. … Will(green shirt) stepped in and knocked it outta the park… He took care of each and everyone’s needs from the kids to the seniors… . that man deserves a raise…

So I just came back from taking my California family to Southern Missouri where my family lives and I drown them in sweet tea and BBQ. We weren’t even back a week and they were craving fried okra, fried pickles, BBQ and some sweet tea. Welcome to my life! They hadn’t been to Lucille’s in years so they wanted to show me where to get my BBQ fix in the area. I have to say I was very impressed. I love the fact when they put you on the wait list that they text you(and also send you a thank you text later on… very cordial) I had a hard time deciding on what to get. Actually we all ordered an appetizer and a meal. =)=) So by the time my meal was there I took 2 bites and had to box it. This is what we ordered: Fried Green Tomatoes: — Super good I wasn’t a fan of the red pepper cream Fried Okra– Awesome I loved the creole mustard and the spicy ranch both. Ranch reminded me of Denny’s ranch which we all know is the best ranch on earth Fried Pickles– I personally do not like the spears, but everyone else like them. They come with the same sauces as the okra. Pulled Pork Queso Dip– Pulled pork, jalapenos, tomatoes, onion, cilantro in a cheese sauce. Interesting concept however no one liked it. It had too much of a smoke taste to it that it over powered everything else Entrees: Ribs the St. Louis style and BBQ. I had one rib of each and these were some of the best ribs I’ve had. I’m not crazy about any of their sauces however they cooked the ribs right. Impressed. Memphis Style Pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on top– coleslaw was awesome. I ordered this with potato salad(and I’m usually very picky with potato salad so I highly recommend theirs) Smoked Brisket Burger– Burger topped with brisket and cheese, pickles and BBQ. It was pretty decent. Sweet potato fries on the side. They were a tad soggy. =( Other sides that were good. Corn on the cob and greens. I’m the only one of the family that would try them. Don’t worry, I’ll eventually rub off on them. =) Garlic Mashed potatoes and my daughter had the Mac and cheese(so good) Dessert: Bread pudding with peaches. It was perfect!!! So deciding factor on sweet tea. I grew up where the sweeter the tea the better. However I’m more of a fan of this California sweet tea. I can’t handle sugar the way I used to. It’s perfect. Just don’t tell my grandma I said that.
