Nice looking restaurant, very modern. Food was delicious and had a modern take on traditional dishes. We were there with a large birthday party and service was exceptional. Water was filled and we were checked on often. They even offered to split the bill ahead of time… very organized. Only negatives I have was our table was seated near the patio and the doors had been pushed open, which is a beautiful touch. However, it allowed for bugs to fly in getting into our food and drinks. =(Also, it took awhile to get our bill… normally I don’t mind b’coz i like to linger and converse, but we had somewhere to be. Aside from these hiccups, I wouldn’t rule this place out. The food and service were great. Worth checking out and tasting the menu for yourself. My friend mentioned they have a great happy hour and a wide variety of tequilas.

I came here when they very first opened… The service was extremely slow. My friend and I completely understand that it was their soft opening and was still trying to get the hang of things … Buuuuuut if it takes more than 30 mins to get water and another 20 to order drinks. That’s not cool. We so badly wanted to try the food but the wait was just too long. Thankfully we did get some chips and salsa– delicious btw, so we didn’t go completely crazy. Maybe we’ll come back and try it again

Brought my parents here for their anniversary and they liked it. The place is set up very nicely and the waiters are so sweet. The dessert was really cute but not as great as all the reviews where raving. Maybe just not my cup of tea but El Pepino was pretty bomb!

Décor and ambience, 100%. Service and friendliness, 100%. Food, ehhhhh%. We arrived around 12:30 on Sunday and after about a 15 minute wait we were seated at a large booth. We asked for table side guac which came out, prepared in front of us and was 1.5 avocado and, after requesting«spicy,» a smidgen of onions, jalapeño and lime was added… Disappointing. We ordered chicken fajitas that were flavorful, but was not on the sizzling skillet which I find is the fajita norm, no? Other food items were the chicken burrito said to be fair, but two others in our party had the steak adobo which they found to be extremely over cooked, to the point of it being so tough it was hard to cut and resembled jerky in parts. Our friend vaguely mentioned it to our waiter who soon brought the manager over. She was very apologetic and offered a free dessert. Our friend is in the restaurant business and made light of the whole situation, but honestly, I found the whole epicurean experience rather underwhelming.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food this is not the place, the restaurant itself is very unique. They have have a full bar if you are looking for a place with drinks my husband ordered a margarita and it was not well made! The food lacks flavor the sope appetizer was the only thing we liked from there.

This was my first time at this place but I heard great things about it. I made reservations to celebrate my graduation. We arrived and got our table pretty fast. The food was great! And the atmosphere was really nice! I love the paintings they have around the restaurant. A gentleman who I’m not sure he said he was the owner or the manager checked on us several times and even showed around the paintings to my aunt and mother. Super nice guy! We felt very welcoming from the moment we entered the place. The waitress was very nice too, as well as the other employees. Loved this place! I wish I would still live around here to go often and discover the many other great dishes they have. We chose our dishes from the last page of the menu, which offered dishes that are not traditional but instead a mix of flavors. Everything tasted fresh and delicious!

I took my Seattle family here the last time they were down. They really liked it. Our waiter was charming, the décor is classy and the food is high quality. I prefer a street taco from the street, but hey if this place is your bag I can see why.

I can’t say this about most places but everything about this place is just done right. Great staff! Amazing food and an inviting and comfortable atmosphere make this place a new favorite of ours. You’d expect to pay top dollar for the quality you get here but the prices rival chain restaurants that don’t deliver. On our most recent visit our server Jose asked us if we were celebrating any special occasion and surprised our son with a custom message on his plate with a complimentary butter cake topped with ice cream. In my opinion this is above and beyond what we expected and made my son so happy(see picture lol).

Thank you Luna Modern Mexican Kitchen. The owner manager and staff were so attentive and the food was so good. You made my graduation celebration turn out great. I have the chicken mole enchiladas. Yummmm! The food was seasoned to perfection.

Came here for my girlfriend’s brother graduation and looking at the food pictures on Unilocal I had high hopes for this place. I can say the service here is great. Very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere and décor made you feel comfortable. Now on to the food… I got the carne Asada burrito with green tomatillo sauce over it with melted cheese. I saw it on the picture and it looked bomb so I decided to try it. The plate came out and it looked like the picture I seen so that’s a plus. The plate was super hot from melting the cheese in the oven probably but when I took a bite of my burrito, tell me why it was less than room temp! Ultimate disappointment. Not sure why but my burrito was not hot or at least warm. We were a party of 15 but I still think it’s not OK to bring food or that was room temp. As for the taste of the carne asada, it was flavorful but the overall burrito was decent. Didn’t wow me or anything. So if you are looking for a place to hangout and just munch on appetizers I would go here but to come for an entrée I would go somewhere else

We came here for Mother’s Day dinner, we had reservations at 6pm. We were seated before our reservation time and we thought this was great. When we arrived to our table the hostess indicated the table was dirty and she would send someone to clean it up. Our waitress arrived and asked what drinks we wanted as we stood by our table. The hostess finally returned, wiped half of the table and left. My Dad’s placemat was still full of crumbs. Our waitress seemed very eager to take our order, since it was our first visit we asked for more time. A server brought is chips and salsa, I must say I’ve had better. My mom said it reminded her of chips and salsa at Chili’s. I honestly would say Chili’s chips and salsa has a much better taste. It was very busy for Mother’s day, so much a group of kids ran into our table knocking down one of our drinks. Before we ordered we all decided to select something different. We ordered the carne asad plate, shredded beef enchiladas, shrimp fajitas and steak adobado with chorizo potatoes. Food had a good taste, lots of good flavors. We also ordered dessert. We tried the crème brûlée trio and their version of strawberry cheesecake. We were impressed with the crème brûlée trio and would definitely get this again. The cheesecake had a texture of a gelatin rather than a cheesecake. My sister made the comment that it had a tofu texture. Overall we agreed the food was good. The service and uncleanliness of the restaurant and bathroom was disappointing.

I LOVELUNA! The South American flavors and spices were the best I’ve tasted… like Ever! Not to mention their bar selection and service is to die for. Jose was our waiter and he recommended exactly what we were looking for based on the questions we were asking. I requested to speak with the manager to let them know that we were very pleased with the selections Jose referred and was pleased to speak with the restaurant owner Francisco. Thank you Luna for a wonderful dinner. We will be back soon!

My first experience at Luna was for the fixed course dinner for NYE and it was great! However, I forgot to go back until recently, and I’m oh so glad I did. We got there at around 7pm and waited about 40 mins for a table. We decided to sit at the bar(open seating) and ordered some drinks while we waited. The bartender(didn’t get his name) made some delicious drinks. We tried the TNT, Coco Pina, and the Diablo. The TNT was my favorite, but we also had a Tamarindo one during dinner and it was delicious as well. As for starters, we went with the sopes; we had them during the NYE dinner, and I never forgot about them. They’re topped with braised short rib, cheese, and drizzled with tomato sauce. For entrees, we had the Pollito con Mostasa, and I had the Mole Poblano Chicken Enchiladas. Stop what you’re doing, and get the mole enchiladas. They’re phenomenal. The flavor of the mole is delicious; it’s sweet and savory, and the chicken was moist and flavorful. The combination with the beans and rice made the dish perfect. As for desserts, we skipped on it this time(we were too full), but go with the Warm Butter Cake. You won’t regret it.

Had a really good time at Luna on saturday. Our waitress, Yvonne, was amazing. My bf got a vegetarian burrito and I got the chopped house salad. The food presentation was beautiful. Way better than our first experience here. :)

I celebrated my birthday at Luna’s last night and it was the best dinner party I could ask for! I made reservations for 15 and they were super accommodating when asked to add on another chair for a last min guest. Our server(I wish I had asked for her name!) was THEBEST! She made us feel very comfortable, and was extremely patient when taking orders for 16 people who all wanted a separate check. She really made our experience care free and just simply fun! We all ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrees and everything was delicious! But I think the great customer service was what made our night. :) Thank you for a great night, Luna! We’ll all definitely be coming back. P. s. The Corn tamale and warm butter cake are a must have!

I don’t like Mexican as much as others but this food was amazing Wife and I got the fajitas for two and it was full of flavor. Service was very respectful and extremely kind. Would recommend for others if in the area but a one time favorite or bucket list restaurant

We came here because it was the only place that would accommodate 13 people with such short notice. Half of our group had to catch a plane and they were nice enough to make a table(with fold up tables) for us so that we could have dinner before they had to leave. 5 stars for customer service! I ordered the oxtail and chorizo empanadas and the carne asada plate. The empanadas were good, but it didn’t have a lot of filling. It looked like a very skimpy empanada. The carne asada plate was good, except I ordered my steak medium, and it was well done. Even though it came out well done, it was still tasty, and it wasn’t like I was chewing rubber. The plate comes with a cheese enchilada, beans, and a scoop of «fresh guac», except that the guac was slightly turning brown already. Complimentary chips and salsa were delicious! I got to try the drunken fish. and the fish is definitely drunk. You could definitely taste the tequila, so if you don’t like tequila. be warned. + Free chips and salsa + Located in Victoria Gardens(next to Gyukaku)

Solid 4.5 stars. I came here on a busy Saturday night with a large group of friends. Great ambience and environment. I ordered the chicken taquitos as a starter and the adobo steak tacos as my main dish. While waiting, I had the complimentary chips and salsa. Very nice and light. Just be careful because once you start eating them, you will get addicted and full before you get your actual food! The chicken taquitos were the best I had in any Mexican restaurant. The sour cream, and guac sauce made for a perfect bite. I was pretty stuffed after the fourth taquito so I shared it with my friends. I also had a bite of my friend’s cazuela con queso fundido. Another great bite. First thing I noticed when receiving our plates were how awesome the plating is. Definitely picture worthy. The adobo steak tacos came with rice and beans. I liked that the soft tacos were wrapped in paper so it wouldn’t fall apart. If anything, they looked like mini burritos. Taste was excellent, non spicy. Tasted like other tacos I’ve had before, but not bad at all. Almost a little dry but nothing bothered me. Pricey dinner, but definitely worth the price. I’d come back in a group no bigger than 4. Having the tables packed tightly was a slight annoyance and I felt like I couldn’t back my chair comfortably far enough because serves kept walking really fast and I’d get bumped alot. Service: 4⁄5 stars.(minus the servers quickly passing behind my chair) Chicken taquitos: 5⁄5 stars. Definitely the highlight of the entire meal. Adobo steak tacos: 4⁄5 stars. A little dry, but great taste.
