Papa John’s Pizza

Where do I start. So my husband and I ordered a pizza last night 6÷17÷16 for delivery over the phone. We informed whoever answered that all we had was a $ 100 bill and if they could bring change. Unfortunately they informed us that the delivery guy doesn’t keep change of $ 100 even if my order is over $ 50 but if we came in and picked it up they would have change. So we said ok and just placed our order online because they had a promo code (on their website) stating that if you buy a pizza over $ 15 with promo code Limedrive you will have a free pizza the following day. Sounds like an awesome deal right? So we thought as well. I call in just now 6÷18÷18 and informed SYLVIA (who was extremely rude and had no clue of the promo codes) that we ordered a pizza yesterday online with the promo code and and would like to place an order for our free pizza. Her not so pleasant delight response was «what are you talking about». After explaining to her the whole ordeal and their promo code we used yesterday which if you are answering the phone at any establishment you should be aware of all aspects of your business she continued to argue that we were wrong then asked to place us on a brief hold to check on that. She gets back on the phone and says sorry that promo code is only valid when there is a basketball or football game playing but only if your team won the game. How does that make any kind of sense (again she couldn’t answer the question) but stayed that we should call the papa johns online customer service and they can help me. So because she sounded confused and was rushing me of the phone I asked to speak with her manager and again was placed on hold. She came back and said «she said to tell you she is unavailable and cannot talk to you right now and to call the online help number). Fed up with clear lack of basic customer service I asked for her name but instead she stated to give me the help number so again I asked her her name. She finally gave it to me after hesitation and then of course asked for her managers name and hopefully she wasn’t lying but she gave me MONICA and hung up. Being how we love papa johns and have ordered from here for quite a long time we placed our order online for delivery since by coincidence they number SYLVIA have me did not work. So now I am currently waiting on my pizza to be delivered hoping that no one there spit in it and its delivered hot. Will keep you guys updated.

The pizza is usually good. This time I guess the driver was new because he called us frustrated because he couldn’t find our apt. We’ve ordered there for a few years and have NEVER had a problem. When he finally found our place he said «I’m supposed to be off already, I’m hungry too» wtf? How is that MY business? He should quit his job if he doesn’t want to work then. What a rude idiot!

Second time getting a re heated pizza, only thing good about Papa John’s, is the delivery guy. Oh and the garlic sauce. We work hard for our money to get a re warmed pizza. First time they added cheese to an old pizza and heated it up.

First time here. I enjoyed my pizza. I love the sauce. My order was perfect. The place was clean. The staff was helpful.

There’s FEW times we eat pizza ! Honestly this is the reason why! I order two simple pizzas one with pepperoni and sausage and one with pepperoni and jalapeño ! Also an order of (16) wings ! Wtf do I get ! Two (2) COLD PIZZAS AND SOME RAW I MEAN RAAAAAAAAAW WINGS!!! REALLY??? Are we SURE!!!
Uh we will NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGIAN! THANKS FOR NOTHING ! Call to complain … GOOD LUCK ! You better go get your trash out of the dumpster before they help you ! Why keep nasty food ?!? Whatever good luck papa nasty hopefully people read Unilocal !

Seen adds for so long on this chain. So finally decided to give it a try. My husband tries wings from everywhere. We got bbq. They were one of his least favorite. Undercooked and mushy. Pizza was lacking toppings. Really couldn’t make out what toppings where on there. A waist of calories.
The ease of online ordering and the delivery service was very good. That is why the two stars. No stars for the product itself. Will not be ordering again.

So we have ordered pizza here a couple times before and it was «ok». This time we decided to pick up, this is where the major disappointment came in. There was two people at the registers but only one was helping customers, not even sure what the other was doing. My wife and I were second in line, the woman in front of us was asking tons of questions then wanted to use expired coupons and it was taking forever. Since we had called in our order we were already anxious since we had been waiting in line for a bit. After a good 5 – 7 minutes waiting to be helped another customer walked in behind us. In less than a minute another worker, a younger kid who looked like he was just walking around behind the counter anyhow, came up and asked the customer behind us how he could help him. Really?!? I even piped up and said we need help also, the kid straight up ignored me. The woman infront of us finally left and my wife grabbed 3 two liters out of the cooler and put them on the counter, gave them our name got the pizza, paid etc. I then grabbed the 2 liters and started to walk out and the cashier says «um did you want to buy those?» I look at her dumbfounded wondering what the heck she was talking about. She had not noticed 3 nearly foot tall bottles on the counter directly in front of her? This staff is so incompetent, I was beyond frustrated by this time. Never again Pappa Johns never again! Pizza Hut next time for sure!

Haven’t been here in a long time! Remembered walked in before two guys just looked at me said nothing! So I left…
Somehow decided to try again place was busy had full crew 4 pizza makers two counter help… Bottom line pizza was great
And they were very friendly…

I placed an order on my way home from running errands after a long day and wanting to be time efficient. They said it would be ready to pick up in 15 – 20 minutes. I arrived about 15 minutes later to wait in line at a hectic papa johns. Once I waited my turn, I walked up to the register and gave them my name for my order and was met with confusion. They didn’t have my order nor the interest to figure out what happened to it. The lady at the register said we don’t have it and stared at me waiting for a reaction. I let her know that I was in a hurry and couldn’t wait another 15 – 20 minutes for my pizza, she gave a loud obligatory «sorry» and looked toward the next guest in line, leaving me feeling blown off and inconvenienced.

Horrible! Placed an order … over 2 hours later I was still waiting! Called twice to check the status both times I was told it’s on delivery.. Well never got it I had to cancel my order this place sucks !

Are family its Papa Johns Pizza on a regular basis. We usually go to the one in upland off of Foothill and Mountain near Stater Brothers, but their power was out so we went to this location instead. I ordered online and my husband picked it up. When he brought the pizza home and I ate a slice I was disappointed. By far the nastiest Papa Johns pizza I have ever had. It didn’t seem fresh and had an awful after taste. The worst thing is we ordered to large pizzas and it taste so bad that we don’t want to eat the 2^nd box of pizza.

Relly poor service when we called to report they put the wrong pizza in our box, told us the wrong pizza we got by mistake we could keep to make up for the mistake. We said we won’t eat it and will give it to the driver. Then they said it will be 40 min for our correct order to arrive

This is the first time that I’ve tried Papa Johns in several years. I had them deliver it. The pizza was meh at best. The chicken poppers were pretty good, but how can you really mess those up? Everyone has their style and taste in pizza. My favorite far and away, for a national chain is Pizza Hut. The driver that came to my door was pleasant. Service was extremely fast too. But I won’t be calling Papa Johns anytime soon. The pizza is just very yuck!

The service is fast and the food is great so no complain for this branch.

Ordered johns special and the six cheese cheesy bread. Both were yummy and have leftovers. It took a lot longer for delivery then was told but it was a Friday night so I’m assuming that’s why. Wish they had a timer like dominos that shows where your pizza is at and time u really will be waiting!

As far as Pizza delivery places goes, this is my go to spot. I loooove Papa Johns pizza. My personal favorite is pepperoni and spicy sausage. nom nom nom. It is pricier than other delivery places and usually doesn’t offer as many coupons, but it is worth the extra couple of bucks to have a good pizza. FYI — There is no seating inside, only carryout and delivery options.

I feel bad. Instinctively, I know I should hate this place, but I just can’t find anything to nail them on.
Unfortunately, my pizza has always been ready when I go there to pick it up.
They haven’t been able to screw up my pizza, but then again, I always get one of their standards.
For some reason, the people working have always been nice and friendly to me.

It’s not bad but it not good. I like them better than any other national chain. I always order online and find coupon codes.

Does anyone else remember when Papa John’s was damn tasty? I do… and let me tell you, those days are a thing of the past, particularly at this location.
They are very, very skimpy on the cheese and toppings. Parmesan breadsticks and chicken fingers are pretty good, but it is very difficult to completely mess those up.
Would recommend only if you’re sick of everything else…
