There’s a reason the food and the service is so awful in Rancho Cucamonga. The original Pick Up Stix which was owned and operated by Charles Zang was sold to a corporation with obviously awful management and culinary skills. The modified menu and food in no way reflects the Chinese Nouveau food of the brilliant Charles Zang and Company. The only similarity between the two company’s is the name. Save yourself the grief and dine elsewhere

I work across the street and decided to come here. I ordered chicken fried rice with no vegetables. It was disgusting. The chicken was like rubbery, dark brown and had this weird breading that was soggy. I hate wasting money on disgusting food. I will never be here again.

Just lousy. Ordered a family meal for 4. Clearly only enough food for 2. Crispy chicken was soft and limp. Shrimp chow mein was all noodle and no vegetable. Maybe two shrimp. The food is bad, quantity is low, and the price is high. Stay away.

Where to start !? Well, I called at 12:02 to place an order to go. My lunch is normally at 12:15. Some girl answered who’s name I later found out was Addy T, and asked if I could hold. I said sure but before I could even finish the four letter word she placed me on hold. So I’m patiently waiting for 7 minutes… SEVEN and I hear her taking everyone else’s order. Then, the line goes silent and I realize she HUNGUP on me. So I dial the number again. The same girl answered and again asks if I can hold. I quickly answered, NO. And she said«well we are busy.» I interrupt and advise that I was just holding for SEVEN minutes. It’s pick up stix, not State Farm!!! So she takes my order with an attitude, of course. She says it’ll be ready in 15 – 20 minutes. So now I’m taking my lunch later than expected. I get here, there’s only one girl here and I assume that’s Addy. She takes forever to even come to the front and asks how she can help. I advise I have an order to go and she interrupts and says Vanessa? Like no, can you wait until I say my name what in the world!!! So then I tell her my name and she gives me the wrong order… EYEROLLEYEROLLEYEROLL. Seriously? Pay attention. I go back and let her know this is the wrong order… My order was still not ready. So I had to wait again. This is ridiculous. Because can I mention, the restaurant had maybe 5 other people… Soooo… When were you so extremely busy?! Overall, this was the worst experience here by far. Pull it together !!!

Don’t bother wasting your time came in during lunch break with only an hour to to use this includes driving time notice the place is empty on two tables that have not eaten yet with only one person in front of us we had thought it would be alright boy I was wrong the girl that took our order to took 2 phone orders in front of us even though I knew what I was going to order when I walked in on top of that she got hit with the lunch rush. I’ve worked in the food industry before and if you’re understaffed and the place is packed you do NOT take phone orders when you have been backed up as far as they have we wasted one hour just waiting for our food had no time to eat it

This food is fresh and delicious, but not cheap. That’s why I rated it four stars. If you join their email, you can get deals. Some days you can get buy one get one free and so on. Chicken and vegetables is a favorite of mine because it’s low calorie and super delicious. I upgrade to the fried rice, so I guess it’s not as healthy, but it sure is good.

Came in with family from out of state and the girls up front were very accommodating! They helped us as we were confused with the loyalty sign up and informed us of your wonton promotions on Wednesday! We will definitely be back here. Thank you!

Wife and my favorite Chinese fast food. Excellent staff, friendly, cheerful, etc. They know the menu well and willing to make changes to ordered food when you notice something which sounds better than what you ordered originally. Only please make changes before presented to cook. Love the orange chicken, only beware it spicy, and don’t eat the dried peppers unless you have a fire extinguisher handy. I like the chicken special also, but it on the sweet side. Very clean. Won Tons on special pricing Weds. We try to get there during lunch period, as pricing cheaper than evening. Menu items the same, only larger in evening by the most part. We find the lunch quite filling, with left overs often. Ask for a lid, they are happy to oblige. Of course you can order meals as takeout as well. No waiter service, but they bring your meal to table when food is prepared. Pick out a table and take a seat. YUMM

Wonderful customer service and good food. Just wish parking was a tad better but still worth it. Service is 100% better than the location on foothill and Euclid.

I don’t have much to say except the food was awful. My mom and I had the Mongolian beef and I had the pad Thai. I figured we’d both go safe. The beef was overly sauced, too sweet, and too salty. My pad Thai was equally oversauced and I never had such a sauce for pad Thai. Atmosphere was nice, clean and professional. Staff was nice as well. McDonalds would’ve been better for lunch today :(

Went here for my first time tonight and I was pleased with the food quality. It was so much better than Panda Express, which I eat at frequently. The bathroom was pretty gross but the food was so good it made up for not being able to go to the restroom. Everyone was very courteous and had great customer service. I had a great experience here and will be returning.

I used to eat at Pick Up Stix more often a few years ago. Without a doubt it was excellent chinese food. I always ordered the House Chow Mein(with generous pieces of chicken, shrimp, & beef) and an order of Lemon Chicken. So much awesome flavor. For some reason or another I haven’t eaten at any Pick Up Stix in over a year. So my wife and I were craving some Lemon Chicken today and decided to go. I was surprised to hear from the cashier that Lemon Chicken is no longer an option… ATANYPICKUPSTIX. He said that corporate decided to stop offering it because«it’s too expensive to make». STRIKE1. Instead of just leaving the restaurant, we ordered the house chow mein and decided to try the honey chicken. The honey chicken barely had any hint of honey. It was very bland, not much flavor. STRIKE2. We noticed that the house chow mein’s flavor was also different(not in a good way). The noodles themselves were much thinner. I remember the noodles being thicker and tastier before. The chow mein also didn’t have as much meat in it as it did before. STRIKE3. I will not be going back to any Pick Up Stix in the future. I guess Corporate cut back so much, that they lowered the quality of the food to a point where it’s not worth going back anymore. What a shame. No offense to this particular location though. The restaurant was clean and the employees where friendly. Adiós, Pick Up Stix.

Been to this place a few times and it was not good. The last time I got the red Thai chicken and the chicken tasted like it was past it’s prime(old and not fresh). They didn’t put the broccoli in my chicken the time before. The food costs too much for those kinds of mistakes. I have not been back since.

We have been 4 times in the last 2 weeks(I know) but it’s so good and the staff is so friendly, our first visit was full of questions on my side, I asked them on all kinds of thier dishes, ended up getting a salad, when they brought it to me, I didn’t realize the chicken was served cold, I asked if they could warm it up, they did, I’m not a fan of cold chicken, my bf had the special beef and crispy Chicken, mmm so good. Definitely going back

I hadn’t been to a Pick Up Stix in ages and was craving the cream cheese wontons. Barely edible. Got the orange tofu, chow mein, and cheese wontons. The orange tofu used to have some peppers and onions in it, they removed that and doubled the orange slices and water chestnuts. The tofu was ok, but without more veggies it lacked what I wanted. Then the chow mein, ugh. I found out later(when it came to the table) that you have to specify veggies or it’s just 6 dollar noodles with sauce! It wasn’t good, and without veggies I felt too jipped to enjoy it. The cream cheese wontons were the only reason it got two stars and not one. I love the sauce and the wontons so that was at least ok. Bummed and left with two boxes of left overs I won’t eat. Waste of money. Go down the street to the vegan Thai restaurant, so much better.

I eat at Pick up stix often. This is the first time at this location. Definitely the best I’ve had. Friendly staff and they even gave me so noodles and dipping sauce while I waited. Recommend to all

I like this place a lot, its a little different from the average chinese fast food place because everything is made fresh to order not buffet style and sitting out for hours. it can be a little pricey for 2 at times if you want more than one item, my only gripe is with the«Tangerine chicken» you always get more sauce, tangerine, water chestnuts and chili than actual chicken, it reminds me of a bag of chips where half the big bag is just air LOL. all-in-all if you want fresh good made to order food and are willing to spend more and wait, check it out, and the food is pretty consistent.

We used to frequent Pick Up Stix a lot, and it has always been great, but it had been almost a year since our last visit. I called in our order for pick up, and it was ready right on time, 15 minutes later. We ordered the family value meal which comes with your choice of two chicken entrees(or pay a little more for beef or shrimp), white or brown rice, fried rice or chow mein, 4 cream cheese wontons, and 4 fried dumplings, all for $ 24.95. For all that you get, I think it’s a stellar deal, and it’s consistently good and quick. We got Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef, which are two of my go-to’s, and Pick Up Stix did a great job with both. There were lots of nice fresh green onion in the beef, not overcooked or two raw, just perfect. Both dishes also were sauced nicely, not too much, not too little. The fried rice was good. The appetizers that it comes with were great, and have changed since the last time we were there. You used to just get 4 cream cheese wontons, but now you also get 4 fried dumplings, which were delicious. I love the wonton’s; I’m a sucker for the crispy wrapper and melty gooey cream cheese inside! Since we didn’t get chow mein, we still opted for a noodle dish and got Pad Thai. Their Pad Thai is also delicious, the noodles were great, not too mushy, the shrimp were still tender, and all of the veggies were delicious. We had enough food to eat dinner(and I served myself twice :-) and still have two plates for lunch the next day. While I’m not about to tell people in Chinatown that they HAVE to try Pick Up Stix, for me, it’s fast-food Chinese that’s delicious and reasonably priced. There is a mom and pop Chinese restaurant that we like to go to for lunch because it’s really delicious and they have great specials, but their entrees/sides alone to order in the evening are very pricey. The service was also great, everyone at the counter was helpful and got us in and out fast.

It’s a decent place. Nothing too spectacular. I ordered some chow mein with the kitchen sink thrown in. Shrimp, beef, chicken, and vegetables. I have to say that, despite the noodles being covered in grease and sauce(as per usual at a fast food Chinese place), it was rather tasty and filling. Mix it with rice and you’re good. The wait for the food was somewhat intolerable. I mean, they said it would take 15 minutes so Will and I went across the way to the local PetsMart to do a little bit of snooping around and returned to the Pick Up Stix and still had to wait about 10 minutes for the food. I mean, we did have a big order, but the wait felt closer to 30 minutes than 15.
