Excellent hair cut done by Yoo! She is very warm, welcoming and personable — offered drinks as soon as she saw me. Had a nice scalp massage with my shampoo and some hair treatment that she left on my hair for about 20 minutes. I just showed her a couple of pictures of how I want my hair done and she knew right away. She even made recommendations to make it look better. She constantly checks with me if I’m happy with the length or how it looks so far. Will definitely come back! Happy to have finally found a great salon in the area!

I and my girlfriend finally found hair stylist for life! Tony recently began working at Salon Yoo in Rancho Cucamonga. However, he has been working as hair stylist over 15 years! When he was working on my hair, I could definitely feel his expertise.
I got undercut with perm on the top. I have really thin asian hair so perm usually does not come out well, but somehow Tony managed hair curl to come out looking really natural. I am really happy that I can now style my hair without spending too much time.
My girlfriend also got cut and perm. She decided to do digital perm on her thick asian hair. Digital perm came out looking extremely well on her hair, too. She’s also very happy that she does not have to spend much time styling in the morning since just simple blow drying gives natural looking curls!
We are both extremely happy with hair cut and perm done by Tony.
We will be definitely coming back to him for our future hair need!

I’ve never done anything different with my hair besides dying it red and purple (it was my senior year of college) and I desperately needed to do something different with my hair. At 26, I’ve been cursed with lots a white hairs so I was so glad to see the Groupon for the balayage with Ashley.
I am so glad I did it! Ashley is the absolute best. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she made it 10X better. I can’t remember the last time I was so in love with my hair! You won’t go wrong with Ashley and she truly knows her stuff. Thank you so much! :]

I have found my hair stylist for life! I made an appointment to see Yoo for a haircut; I’ve heard about all the fantastic things she can do for hair, specifically Asian hair, and just had to let her have a go at my hair at least once. I wasn’t disappointed. She was so attentive and sweet and it was really easy to talk to her. I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted other than a vague idea, and she gave so many useful insights on a cut that would flatter my face, give my hair more volume, and would look good given the fact that I wear glasses! I’ve never had a hair stylist take so many things into consideration in such a small amount of time. And with each haircut, she also gives you a shampoo and style so that you can see how the new cut falls on your face.
Keep in mind that the price of the haircut depends on the length of your hair. My hair was almost to my waist and it cost $ 65 w/​o tip; totally reasonable given that she takes her time and gives so much attention to detail. I left the salon feeling so much lighter and like a superstar. Thanks so much Yoo, I’ll definitely be coming back!

I’m pretty sure I’ve reviewed Yoo before but it was probably before she opened Salon Yoo. I’ve been a client of Yoo’s since 2010 and I’ve never been to anyone else since! Yoo is a genius at what she does. I swear she’s the only one that knows how to manage my stubborn asian hair and is super talented. I tend to want to do crazy things or change my hair up every now and then and what’s great about that is Yoo is either willing to do it or is completely honest about what the results would look like. There have been a number of times where I just literally sit in the chair and let her work her magic and every time I leave a satisfied customer. I’ve purchased a number of products from her salon because I trust her so much, including the makeup!
I’m so happy for her she was able to open her own Salon. She really deserved it. The salon itself is chic, modern, and most of all, clean! I love the location and the salon itself. I’ve recommended her to several people and they all continue to see her, even if they’re from to of town! Yoo is incredible and I highly recommend her ;)

I am absolutely thrilled with my haircut from Yoo! She is extremely talented, and a lovely person. After recently relocating, I carefully read many reviews and decided upon Salon Yoo. I can’t begin to express how happy I am with that decision. The salon is upscale and trendy with warm, inviting feel. Yoo listened to my needs and carefully assessed my hair before cutting. I am very picky and can quickly tell if my cut is uneven and this haircut is perfect. Her attention to detail and patience is exactly what I treasure in a hairdresser. She’s a gem!

I have really frizzy hair plus a bad hair cut from the last time. Tony is so knowledgable about Japanese hair straighten and he has been doing this for 20 years. He did miracle on my hair. I get straight perm before but I have to say Tony is amazing. This is the BEST hair straighten and haircut I ever got! Plus it was painless compared to my previous experience. I have been to Yoo 2 times so far and she knows hair so well. She can tell when my hair has been horribly by other stylists. She took a picture of my hair and showed me how uneven it was or if one side is heavier. She showed me how the last stylist that thinned my hair had chopped a section of my hair super short but I could never tell because I always had my hair up in a bun for nursing school. She is good at working with your schedule. Unfortunately the only thing she does not do is color hair, but her cutting and thinning skills are pretty amazing

Yoo is amazing! She’s super accommodating and really talented. My brother has been going to her for five years and I think about every person I know in the chino/​rancho/​IE area goes to Yoo. She’s good at cutting not only men’s hair, but women too!
I’m usually indifferent about my haircuts, but I was definitely impressed with my haircut done by Yoo. She added just the right amount of volume and style. I highly recommend you ask for Yoo!!!

I went in and got a hair trim from Tony. What I loved about getting the cut from him was that he knew what he was doing with my hair and also considered my facial shape. He said he had 20 years of experience in this field, that also made me feel much more safer letting him do my hair. Too bad I don’t have my before picture. I love the result!

Tony did my hair, and it looks great! My used to be heavy hair now feels as light as a feather!

I wouldn’t trust my hair with anyone else. She knows exactly what you want (most of the time I don’t, so I let her decide lol) but she does a great EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.

Got my hair done by Ashley two times the first time she had not even gotten close to what I had asked for, and the second time she gave me an «ombré» closer to what I had asked for but completely over bleached. Half of my head was blonde and the colors did not blend at all, I had to go to another salon to have my hair fixed. After having already paid her for my hair I had called and asked for a refund of some of the money I had invested into my hair that was never achieved but was told she did not give refunds… Not the best experience

Ashley is the best. I can never imagine going to another hair salon without her. She really did a perfect job with my hair. If somehow you come home and feel like you’re not satisfied with your hair with whatever reason, she will fix it. She is very nice. No complaint whatsoever.
The place itself is always clean. Not so crowded. Very spacious.

I called day of to see if they had anything open and they told me to be there in 30 minutes. Kay was supposed to leave but was nice enough to take me last minute. Kay is great. She’s very nice and has a lot of experience. I usually have very loose directions for how I want my hair cut and I let the stylist do what they think fits. I got a cut, color and highlights. I have long thick somewhat unruly hair lol Kay was great she did a dry cut first then color and highlights. The whole process took around 2 ½hours and that’s typical for me. I love the cut and color and it’s easy maintenance. I’d recommend Kay for sure and the salon is nice. The receptionist was on her phone in the waiting area and stayed there even when I came in. I guess it wasn’t necessary to be at her station but you know… Still.

I literally just had the best experience here at Salon Yoo with Alana getting a Mani/​Pedi. She took her time and put a lot of care and thought into my nails. I’m a ex-​nail biter and just got my acrylics off like a month ago and she took the time to make sure I had nothing to make me want to bite or pick at my nails.
She used really cool products too. Like the nail polishes I’m wearing are some that she helped design the colors which is really cool because it shows that she is passionate about what she does.
She was really easy to talk to and she made it a great experience. I came in here to get ready for valentines day and she really did such a great job I feel totally pampered and ready for my night.
Plus side too is that I got red velvet cake.
I will for sure be coming to Alana again. A good price and great experience.

Ashley is an Asian-​hair hairdresser extraordinaire! From washing to cutting and blow drying it took about 1 hr. I’ve never had someone spend such time and pay that much attention to detail on a haircut. I loved the shorter do, perfect for the summer and a trip to the Amazon rainforest. For medium past the shoulder length hair was $ 45 not including tip, but you should tip, b/​c it’s the nice thing to do ;).
