I’ve been here a couple times now and every experience is always good but never great. There’s a substantial amount of options for your choice of ice cream flavor, which is a plus! The service and the 15% off with a check in we’re both plusses. Yet, the ice cream itself has always been just ok, never too great. The prices for it are a little high considering the taste but the liquid nitrogen stuff is pretty cool though. Unfortunately, the taste of the ice cream is not up to par with the coolness of the liquid nitrogen.

The ice cream overall was pretty good. Very unique in that they use liquid nitrogen to freeze the mix. The combination of flavors are endless. You can mix as much flavors as you would like. And there are several bases that you can choose from(my photos should have these). The portions are small for the price. We got a medium and by the time we were almost done, I was already tired. It is one of those things that tastes really good when you first eat it; but get tired after eating about 70% of it. Would I still come back? Yes I would. I did not like their tables chairs though. They looked great but their sizing is wrong. The chairs are way too low for those tables. And the tables sway from side to side with the most gentle touch.

Ice cream is delicious but they need to upgrade their furniture. The tables were wobbly and the booth seats were saggy and too low.

I love subzero! Definitely one of my top favorite ice cream spots! I love getting the Tigers blood mixed with cake batter and Oreos and graham crackers for toppings, it’s just to amazing(: the staff there is always so friendly and helpful. I don’t live in the rancho area but everytime I come up to visit my boyfriend sub zero is my number one spot for dessert.

My wife and I came here a few weeks ago to see what it’s all about. We were 1st timers and the girls were very helpful and suggested flavors. You can pick one of their creations or make your own, plus your base and mix-ins. My wife picked one of their creations and I picked out my own flavors. It’s pretty cool to see your liquid base turn into ice cream with the nitrogen! It’s simple décor, but the experience was cool and both of ours were delicious. We’ll def come back again!

The ice cream over all is good… the only thing is the waiting time, it does take a while to actually make the ice cream so for a u patient person I would not recommend it… my daughter enjoyed the smoke from the liquid nitrogen… over all I give it 3 start… i would come here again if in near by but I wouldn’t make the drive again…

I’ve been here several times. The ice cream is good but it is s bit pricey and the service is often spotty. Today, it is a warm Saturday afternoon and the line is long and there is ONE employee. My assumption is poor ownership or management. The girl is working hard but this place requires a few minutes for each serving and without two or three employees you are providing bad service. Don’t get excited about this place because it won’t last long like this.

Interesting concept, not well delivered. It takes way too long to make the ice cream and with only one person working, the system is not efficient at all. The flavors of the ice cream are also quite average compared to the price. I came in on a Thursday night and it was completely empty. By the time the lady was done making our 2 ice creams, which took about 15 minutes, there were already about 4 people waiting in line. So if every person got just one ice cream, they would be waiting in line for 30 mins which is just too long for a place that isn’t that good.

It’s a warmer day, school is out, I brought the 2 kids here for an after school treat… there is only 1 employee working. We waited about 30+ min in line and the ice cream was icy and not much flavor. I went to the Subzero in Carlsbad 2 weeks ago and it was FANTASTIC! great ice cream, great customer service, no long wait time. This location isn’t so hot.

We went for our first time last night and loved it. Yes, it’s a bit of a wait to get your ice cream, but it’s fresh and worth the wait! We will definitely be back!

Awesome place! Cool process. Great ice cream. If you haven’t tried it, try it. Don’t let the few negative reviews steer your decision. This place is awesome. And so is the staff.

Went once. It was OK, but my yogurt melted much faster than other frozen yogurt places’ yogurt. In no time, I had a cup of yogurt soup and I wasn’t eating slowly. At the time I went on a weekday evening, there was only one lady working in the place and there were a few of us waiting for a while. There needed to have been two employees at the time.

Wow… Two families in line and 5 ice creams ahead of us… 30 minute wait time!!! I get it that they’ve got two nitrogen dispensers only but good gawd 30 minutes and we’re still waiting to place our order!!! Saw customers behind us walk out… And then another and another… Losing customers left and right! Alright another 10 minutes! We’re done… Walking out the door… They lost 12 customers, roughly $ 60 in the span of time I write this review about 10 minutes. As I walked out the family ordering in front of us looked at us and said yeah I would’ve left too had We not ordered already. They have a ridiculous sign that says«please be patient each ice cream takes 15 minutes long» … So I guess I didn’t want to wait 75 minutes for 5 ice creams! GOTOCREAMISTRY!!! They take less then 3 minutes each ice cream! Same style and they even have Affogato!!! One opening up by foothill and Rochester next to Denny’s and Gen Bbq down the street. I would be worried as the owner that the competition is going to threaten the traffic of their business that they clearly don’t seem to be able to keep up with and as quickly as their competitors. To the owner: Your employees are working as hard as they can but you’ve got only two working a weekend evening. They are flustered trying to get the orders out and don’t even have time to look up to greet the customers waiting in line. Might be a good idea if you’re a new management to work the busy times in your store to see what your employees have to deal with.

Cons: we went in today with my family. There were 3 employees working behind the counter. Not one of them looked up to say hello. We waited 30 min for our ice cream. And it wasn’t great. Not worth it the tables were dirty with old melted ice cream. When I walked up to order the guy didn’t smile or say«how can I help u» or anything! I’ll never come back again. Not a good experience. And it was hot inside. They need to upgrade their a/c. We won’t be going back. Waste of $ 6. Management u need to hire better employees who can at least pretend to like their job. Pros: none.

When I walk in to order the menu on the wall clearly says«Large 5.70» for create your own and the mix ins«.50 each». After the girl rang me up and charged my card I looked at the receipt and was charged $ 6.50 for a large and .75 for each mix in. I asked why am I being charged this when clearly the menu on the wall says a different price? I was just here last week. She says«I don’t know I guess the price changed.» I understand prices may go up but your menu price isn’t updated so you should always honor what the price is on the menu. After paying over $ 7 for a large, I was watching the girl freeze and scoop it. Instead of scooping all of it neatly and into the cup she was dropping the ice cream on the counter! I feel like I got ripped off and didn’t get my money’s worth. I’m very disappointed in service and size of my ice cream…

They deserve a 3 and a half star. Aside from the fact that the service was really slow, everything else was great. When I was there there were only two workers, however both of them were very kind. They were both very welcoming. Their ice cream is made of liquid nitrogen which is cool, but what I find most neat about this place is that you can choose the base of your ice cream(low fat, original, lactose free, vegan, custard, yogurt, or sugar free). You also get to choose whether you want your ice cream soft(like dippin dots), medium(like regular ice cream) or firm(like cold stone ice cream). You can either choose one of their flavors from their«Sensations» menu or you can build your own. I got the Beenoulli Brûlée and my sisters got the Citrus Substance and Magnetic Mint all in the small size which was the about two scoops of ice cream worth. Bernoulli Brûlée(#4): This was the perfect sweetness. I got the medium softness. This also comes with a waffle which is made fresh with your order. They mixed it really well so I never found any ice crystals in my ice cream. There were enough twix bits so that I had some in just about every bite but it wasn’t too overwhelming. Citrus Substance(#12): I tried a bite of this and the was a little sour for my taste. If you like sour, this is for you. My sister did add the citric acid, so it was more sour than if she hadn’t wanted it. The more citric acid you add, the more sour it gets. And it’s gets REALLY sour so beware! Magnetic Mint(#3): I also got a bite of this and loved the minty-ness of this. There was a strong sweet minty flavor to it. My sister got it with the lactose free base, so it was less creamy than the usual ice cream. Nevertheless this was still good! Also, they have HAPPYHOUR: Monday-Thursday from 3 – 6 pm You can get 3 «Sensations» for only $ 9.99. If you’re not in a rush to go anywhere and want some ice cream, this is a fantastic place to go.
