We had my daughter Zoe’s 10th birthday at Farrell’s and it was a great experience. I recommend to anyone who is thinking about throwing their kid a party no stress & great service. Just ask for Carlene Mahdi, Manager and make sure Laura is your server. They really made it a great experience. Thank you again Carlene and Laura you are definitely the 5star experience!!!

Older Woman with glasses I believe her name was Caroline at the booth was very rude, killed the whole 1st time experience for me. Won’t come back.

I took my son here for his 7th birthday and we had a BLAST! This is the third time I’ve been to this Farrell’s in Rancho and they never seem to disappoint! Our waitress couldn’t have been any better!!! Sara was perfect in every way. With a party of 13 she handled it like a champ, with a beautiful smile on her face and bubbly personality to go with it!

This place is an absolute mess with no management and understaffed. We went there last night to get hot fudge sundaes, and what we witnessed was nothing short of a sweatshop! Four kids running the entire place, every table was an absolute disaster, the floors filled with junk and trash, and those poor kids working there were trashed and exhausted. Shame on this location for having no management understaffed and a total unprofessional and absolutely unappealing atmosphere. The kids working there were so exhausted but the people just kept coming. A shout out to Cheyenne who did a great job as a waitress and her comrades. Ferrells should be aware of this and fix it immediately.

Food wasn’t that great, waited almost an hour to be served, plus the hour we waited to be seated. waiter didn’t check on us regularly. No refills, and had to wait about 20 minutes to get the check. Definitely overrated. Not even the ice cream was that good. Won’t be coming back.

This is not only a great place to celebrate a special occasion with dessert and ice cream, but the lunch and dinner menu choices are good as well. My favorite sandwich is the Gastronomicaldelicatessenepicurean’s Delight! The staff makes sure you are recognized for your birthday or anniversary and that you have a fun time. Good value for your money and not to hard on the wallet. Be sure to make reservations for large party’s as this restaurant can get packed. The only drawback is that it can get loud and distractive when your eating.

I just wanted to add a review to passively aggressively tell the host at the front to stfu. This is not the place to do your Adam Sandler impressions! If this keeps up, the manager may hear my best Bill Lumbergh impression. «If your employee could be less obnoxious, yeah that’d be great.» Update: Finished my dinner here. The most frustrating, annoying place I’ve ever been to. I suppose they think of themselves of a dinner and show place, if by dinner, they mean mediocre ice cream, and by show, they mean incessant, blood curdling, mind numbing shrieking. And the funny thing is the very unfunny, attention ho waiters who cannot give you a moment of silence lest they lose their sense of worth even admitted to having a headache from working in such a ridiculously loud place. Perhaps if you’re a kid or in middle or high school, you’ll like tho place. Perhaps I’m just an ol’ curmudgeon. The best part of the night was when some of my party went to Chilli’s down the street afterwards. We finally got some actual food and had a moment to let our headache subside. When our waiter came up, he asked where we had just come from. After we explained we went to Farrel’s, he shook his head and said, «I can’t go there. I get headaches.»

Came here for my birthday on a Tuesday evening so it was a slow night which was great, the employees are very entertaining, I didn’t expect to be put on the spot or have to dance while trying to enjoy my ice cream, it was a bit annoying, but I’m sure kids enjoy that. I mostly came to try the ice cream which met my expectations, big portions and delicious. The ice cream nachos were my favorite with the animal cracker ice cream! However they forgot the fudge on one of our Sunday’s which was supposed to be the main attraction! It was supposed to be «overflowing» definitely was NOT. Three stars is mostly because of all the mistakes with our orders and fixing it seemed to be a hassel…

First time here. We waited over 35 minutes for a table. There were empty tables in the restaurant. No need to wait so long to be seated. After we sat at our table, we never saw the server. We stopped an employee to ask for the Manager. It’s been 25 minutes now and the Manager still hasn’t been to our table. We finally got our ice cream order in. Let’s see how long this will take. We will never come back to such an unfriendly environment! I’ve been in the restaurant business for 32 years and I have never treated my customers this way!

If you have patience and don’t mind the noise, this is a fun place to try out. The food is standard, however the desserts are great. I could not get over the atmosphere. Every time there is a birthday announcement, they hit a button that sends off a siren, not the best thing to hear over and over while eating dinner. They sing different versions of songs, changed to birthday versus, which I thought was pretty clever, until you hear so many of them, it gets a bit overdone. Dine or Dash? It is a fun place to dine with the kids, so I will dine again, this time with ear plugs.

Probably never coming again, lol. The only reason my family and I came here was because my brother had a gift card he was never going to put to use. If you love LOUD noise, screaming children(my hair got pulled by one.), extroverted people, and other things of the sort, this place is for you! If you hate all of the above like me do not Coke here. The food was mediocre and disappointing. I got a «grown up grilled cheese» and added bacon and it literally tasted like a kids grilled cheese. I didn’t taste the distinction in any of the«grown up» cheeses they listed. I could make a much better grilled cheese at home. The Parmesan truffle fries that came along with it also tasted like normal fries. The only reason I give one extra star is because our waitress have decent service.

Ice cream is worth it. Food is soooo not worth it! Just go for the dessert. We went on a slow weekday night. The servers were all friendly and attentive. They sang at every table. I got their club sandwich, the bread was so soggy and chewy, it felt like it was toasted yesterday. Grossed me out. It also had the Farrell’s special sauce, which I didn’t know was like 1000 Island dressing. It wasn’t a good match in the sandwich in my opinion, so that ruined it for me again. The food is expensive for being low quality. The ice cream was creamy and did not taste generic. It’s really fun for kids. I would splurge on ice cream only here.

I’m not a fan of screaming children. I’m not a fan of loud noise. I’m not a fan of child related kitsch. And yet… I have a daughter that I love with all my heart that wanted a «real» birthday party for her«double digits,» party celebrating the milestone of being 10. I looked at skating rinks, I looked at amusement parks, I looked at John’s Incredible PIzza, and I gradually got more depressed about the amount of money I would pour(poor?) into this until one of my daughter’s friends mothers suggesting Farrells. Being the savvy Unilocaler I am, I went online to get the scoop on this ice cream parlor(the scoop! Get it? Har har) and found several conflicting reviews. After my experience this past Saturday I have to give this place four stars and hopefully give other parents such as myself some hope. Farrells has an EXTREMELY reasonably priced package for 10 kids that includes drinks, two mounds of fries, two pizzas, and a 7 pound monstrosity of an ice cream sundae they call the«Zoo.» It’s $ 90.00 bucks. That’s $ 97.00 bucks with tax folks. Our server was Mitchell, who for some reason I kept calling Kevin I think? Anyways, he was Mitchell, and he was super on top of it the whole time. Paced our meal perfectly, made sure all drinks were kept full, brought us ranch without asking(hello there are 10 kids, this is just common sense), and made our/my experience here memorable. He was just great. The food was basic but decent and very kid friendly. You really come here for the experience though and the extra theatrics that accompanying a birthday party here will make your little one feel extra special, mine did. It’s loud, its obnoxious, it’s also a delight for a child. In closing, I’ve said it before and I will say it again, if someone like Mitchell helps make your day better and your child’s birthday brighter, hook a brother up and TIPHIMWELL! Thanks Farrell’s. I liked you, but hopefully we won’t have to see each other for at least another year.

I’ve been here twice. First visit I just went for the ice cream. I ordered their banana split. It was heavenly… Until I noticed in the very bottom there were several nuts. I was very specific that I’m allergic to nuts. I carry an epipen with me at all times. I told the server to please not put any nuts. Thankfully I didn’t eat it but just knowing that they didn’t follow instructions and weren’t careful enough really made me feel unsafe. I wanted to give them a second chance. My S/O and I went on a Sunday. They had several private parties going on so I understand the wait was a little bit long. When we finally were seated it took our server 20 mins to greet us. I only ordered water and my S/O ordered beer. 5 mins go by … 10… 15… 18… 23 mins later his beer arrived(she said it was their last one) and no water for me. So that was a strike. I ordered the buffalo Mac and cheese and he ordered one of their burgers. First bite … Yum. I taste the spicy cheesy pasta. Second bite. Hmm. The chicken is a bit chewy. By the 5th bite. Is saw blood. My chicken was uncooked! I spit it out as soon as I realized. I’m not one to make a big deal or even send back food but if it’s uncooked then I just had to inform our server. I forget her name but she seemed annoyed when I told her. I simply said in a calm voice«this chicken is not cooked. Can you please take it away» 10mins later she told me she had taken that out of our check and she did apologize which I appreciated so much but not a word from the manager. My s/o was horrified at my experience and wanted to make it up to me and honestly I was still hungry so I ordered a build your own sundae. It wasn’t filling but it was delicious. I don’t think I’ll come back here in awhile

This review is for their ice cream and service. My bf and I come here often just for the ice cream. They have a good variety of ice cream flavors and sundaes. The portions are also pretty big and good for sharing. We have never been disappointed. I took off one star for the service. The staff are always friendly and energetic but service is slow. This place is always packed most of the time. The two times we ate in the restaurant we waited quite a bit just for our ice cream. So now when we come, we usually just get our ice cream to go. Its much faster. Our favorite sundaes to order is the Black & White and Gold Digger.

We went here to celebrate both my 2 year old and my 9 year old’s birthday. It was the best restaurant for us to go to. The atmosphere is so much fun and since we had two other small babies with us the noise was perfect. No one could have a problem if our babies were being loud because the restaurant itself is loud. I love it! Besides the atmosphere, the food and service is great too! I feel like it’s rare to find a places that offers a fun environment, good food, and great service without sacrificing the quality of one, but Farrell’s knows how to do it all! Thank you to them for allowing us a perfect place for a great night to celebrate. Oh! And don’t forget to have ice cream! Their ice team is the best! So yummy!

I really don’t want to employ this annoying current turn of phrase, but, I literally can’t even. I’d already experienced an exhaustingly annoying morning so perhaps my review is tainted because of that, but I’m going to carry on and will update with a positive tidbit later should I feel it is deserved. We came for lunch on a Saturday and we were seated quickly and within seconds a very nice guy asked for our drink order even though he wasn’t going to be waiting on us. Awesome! Beverages in hand, we waited to me out actual server. Once again let me remind you we were already cranky… but our server never showed. The man who had kindly gotten our beverages came back and asked if we’d been helped and when we said no he took our orders. Food came out fast enough, but it was SO damn disappointing. Hubby got the Laredo burger and I got the Gastro sandwich. If I knew my sandwich was going to come with an announcement to the whole restaurant, I wouldn’t have ordered it. I shouldn’t have gotten it anyway — tasted like someone threw Italian salad dressing on a Subway sandwich and called it good. My parmesan truffle fries? ZERO flavor. There were one or two spots on the pile of fries that had truffle oil but not even salt could save these puppies. The Laredo burger should have been called the PINKedo burger(and I should have sent it back for him). The patty was unnervingly pink and I could tell he didn’t like his food either from the first bite. Oh, that server of ours? We finally saw her, when she came to ask how our food was, just in time for us to ask for the check. Woman was handling one table besides ours when we were first seated and it was just too damn demanding. We had originally planned to each try a sundae as we knew that is what this place was known for… then we decided we would share one… then eff this place, we’re out. To add insult to injury, our lunch cost damn near $ 40! For a sandwich, a burger, an iced tea, and a beer. Ugh. Service was slow, atmosphere feels like Knott’s Berry Farm on patriotic crack, and I would never ever recommend you come her if you’re not already in an incredibly good mood.
