Absolutely had to write a review after tonight’s experience. My boyfriend and I have frequented this place over the years(over 3 to be exact) and we have been given great service every single time. Tonight was no different as he ‘popped’ The Big Question. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Paul and the staff at The Wine Tailor who helped Nathan plan this big moment for us and for even taking pictures too!

The place has a lot of potential. It was such a cute space inside with live music on Sat, but the wine was mediocre. I may be a bit too spoiled, coming from the NorCal/Napa area. The staff, however, was fabulous and extremely accommodating. I would give it another shot if I was ever in the area again.

Good selection of wine — good tasting options. Arrive was good — staff was helpful. Check out the specialty slushy drinks on a hot day ! Very centrally located great stop for a Über bar hoping day.

Nice experience here at the Wine Taylor. Friendly staff and great tasting wines. We got a few wine tasting trays and a couple sangrias. The wine was great, got a nice card and pencil to write down our notes on. The Sangria was chill too. We got to make it ourselves, as far as pummeling our own fruits, adding sugar, and mixing it with the wine. Definitely will be a returning customer. Btw, if you are not experienced with wine, this is a great place to start tasting, very lay back and willing to help out first timers.

Some friends and I wanted to wind down after lunch and just relax. We decided to come here since it was close by our brunch spot. It’s situated in a private lot so parking was easy to find. There’s a cute wine barrel outside, and although it may not be a vineyard, it definitely has it’s own charm. The décor of the venue was very rustic, relaxing, but hip. It wasn’t a loud or fast pace atmosphere so if you’re looking for something like that, this place may not be it for you. This place is more toned down, and calm-a nice place to just casually hang out. Our server was very sweet, and she did her best to make us feel welcomed. She was the only one working the floor so we understood that she was swamped time to time with other customers. We ordered the Havarti Cheese with crackers, salami, and the $ 10 dollar taste of 5 assorted wines. The food came in a cute picnic basket with a knife and cutting board, and the wines came in these tiny glasses(looked like miniature flower vases) that were super adorable. This place isn’t fancy at all since the food came in a package that you could probably go to the grocery store and buy yourselves. It’s not too pricey here but if you’re too lazy to host your own wine and cheese night at your place, this could be a great alternative since there’s lots of space. I would recommend trying this place out! There’s a coffee shop right around the corner too and other other restaurants if you get hungry so the location is pretty on point!

Just went here for the first time tonight and I am a fan! Their location is actually the location of the first winery in California. There membership is definitely the way to go. There are a serious of different memberships from $ 16 – 42. I joined the premium plus for $ 34/month. This includes two bottles of wine(one fruit, and one choice) and free 51oz tastings or 15oz glass daily. Their white ones were good, but the fruit wines were fantastic. Happy hour is Tuesday-Friday from 3−6pm, so $ 2 off each wine. The fruits were the tastiest, but they were lower in alcohol content. For the whites, angel was my favorite. Unfortunately, the California drought has effected their selection. I tried a lot of the wines, but quite a few wines I selected were unavailable. They should probably update their wine list based on availability. I loved my server, Allie, she was fantastic and made great recommendations. The price is right for the wine club, and I will return often for the tastings.

Great atmosphere! Great variety of wines! The staff is so friendly specially Barbie very knowledgable about her wine. She was very busy and still managed to take care of us and take time to explain to us about the history on the Wine Tailor! I will definitely be back!

From when we walked in the door the environment was extremely uncomfortable with the employees yelling out to each other and arguing. We still decided to get tasters… After what felt like forever to get the tasters out, there was barely a splash in each glass. All of them were absolutely disgusting. One of them, the Dutch apple wine smelled like nail polish with a taste that neither of us could choke down. We will not be returning.

We went there for a private event recently and had a mixed experience. The groupon that I ordered was $ 25 for 2 tasters($ 10 each at normal price) and a bottle of wine(price anywhere between $ 20-$ 30). The groupon was a great deal so I suggest looking into it if you’re trying out the place for the first time. The wine was great and our server, Barbje, was fantastic. However, we ordered the hummus and crackers($ 13 without tip) and was super disappointed. It literally came in containers that you could get at the supermarket — nothing special or unique about it. I get that they might not have a kitchen or someone dedicated to food prep, but to charge that much for processed food is ridiculous. My ultimate review is come for the wine, not the food.

So glad we discovered this gem of a place! It has a homey yet trendy feel and Saturday nights there is live music! The vibe is laid back and they have ‘regulars’ ala«Cheers». The wines are not top shelf so true wine enthusiasts might be disappointed and service can be on the slow side at the tables so not a place to go if you’re in a rush. However, it is a great place to stop at and unwind a bit after a long day or if you’re in the mood to sit and stay a spell. Since they don’t have a food handlers license you can bring in a snack to munch with your wine. They do sell crackers, salami, hummus and cheeses in bulk so you can purchase food if you need to. We saw folks stop in, buy a couple of bottles of wine and walk up to Antoninos for dinner where they drank it with their meal. Way to go to support local business!

Service was extremely slow, it took way to long to bring a lunchable pre-made salami box out. It was supposed to come with our wine, but instead came after we had finished our sampler that was sub par. The samplers themselves took at least 20 min to come out. We felt like secondhand guests. If this was on a slower Wednesday, I can’t imagine the service on a busy day. On the plus side, their fruit wines are the only reason I’m giving them two stars.

I am one of those foolish people who have a habit of buying groupons and then letting the promotional value expire. As a result, groupons are now banned from our household. However, businesses do permit you to use the actual dollar value of the groupon as a credit toward a purchase. So I took my expired groupon and my friend to Wine Tailor for some wine tasting. Cute little place with a lot of history behind it. We tasted 5 wines each, most were blends and some had funny names, like old songs– Magic, White Satin, Pink Satin, etc. A lot of the wines are of the sweet type, fruit blends. They also have whites and reds. I like most wines, but I know that this is not the high scoring drink of Wine Spectator or Wine Enthusiast. It’s easy, light weight stuff, and great for hot weather. No major food here, but they do have deli snacks that pair well with the wine — crackers, cheese, salamis, and hummus. Like most places, they have a wine club which gives members big discounts. Wine club members also get to bring a plus one and taste for free, any time, any day, every day. On different days of the week, they have specials. For example, on Saturdays, they have live music and on Sundays they have freshly made Sangria. You can buy wine by the glass(6 oz or 9 oz) or bottle. They also have a wine-a-rita machine. Staff is also very kind and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back for more. Cheers!

Loved this place! In town for work and Unilocaled the area for wine bars and found this gem. Barbie was absolutely wonderful and very knowledgable. I will certainly be back next time I’m in town. We did the wine tasting and picked a mix of reds, whites and a fruity, none of which disappointed. After we finished our tastings I decided on a glass of the Syrah and my friend had the Malbec — an added bonus it was buy one glass get a glass so that was a great surprise! We also did little tastes of their wine slushies which were pretty enjoyable!

I love going to wineries so I was happy to find that there was one so nearby. They have an interesting variety of wines. Many are fruit wines, and on the sweeter side, but I haven’t had anything like them anywhere else. The fruit flavor is very prominent. They also have a wide variety of stronger and more full bodied reds. I like that they offer a different form of entertainment every day of the week. My absolute favorite is the slushies they offer. One is a blend of white wine and tequila. The other is a blend of red wine and rum. Mixed together is the best. They also have an appetizer menu with cheese, crackers, and the sort but you can also bring in food from wherever you like. I ended up getting their wine membership, so every month I get a bottle of wine and every time I go in I get a free tasting for myself and a friend.

I came here with a friend of mine as her guest, she has a wine membership here. The wine was ok. A couple of them were pretty tasty almost like fruit punch or juice, not wine. They have different drink specials throughout the week so we stayed a bit after we finished our tasting and had another glass. I’m not sure if I would go back but I would definitely recommend someone try it out at least once to form their own opinion. The lady working there was very nice, I think her name is Barbie? At one point she got very busy, she was the only one working, but handled it well and we left feeling content with the service we received. If considering a membership make sure to get all the details. When my friend went to choose her bottle for the month she was told it’s «their choice» that month meaning you get what they choose. They offer many different levels of membership. Bonus: In-N-Out is right across the street

What an amazing little diamond in the ruff! My husband and I found this place on his birthday at my daughter’s recommendation. We loved all the wines we tried. He likes the heavy reds and I am only fond of the sweet wines. Well there is definitely something for everyone’s taste here. We became premium members that day. With that we get a tasting for each of us daily and 2 bottles a month. Its worth it for us since we actually go and use the benefits of membership. The fun part of this cozy little place is that there are lots of regulars and we have met so many nice people there. We see lots of the same people all the time, and it feels like you’re hanging out with friends. The staff is amazing too! So nice and welcoming, we are greeted like were family. We are, and will remain loyal regulars!

I love wine. I’ve enjoyed learning about it through tastings and imbibing all over the country. It’s been a wonderful fruit-filled journey that screeched to a halt last night at The Wine Taylor. We had a groupon for two tastings and a bottle. We arrived at their tasting room which had a lovely, if slightly kitchy-in-spots, ambiance. The two women who worked there were very nice. We were given a menu of options for tasting and told to pick five and order them how we wanted to taste them. I’ve never heard any of that before. At every other tasting room I’ve been given a list of wines in the proper order to sample them. Sometimes there would be several lists and I picked the one I found most appealing. But never have I been presented with a long list and told«choose and order them.» Since there were many wines and we were to receive a bottle my husband and I decided to each pick five different wines. That way we’d have the most info to choose our bottle. They had many varietals I like, Zin, Malbec, Cab, Port — I was excited to try them all. We waited about 15 minutes after we tendered our lists. When the pours arrived things went sideways fast. First, one of our selections was crossed out and something else was written in. No explanation as to why or what the replacement was. No inquiry as to what we might want as a replacement since the port choice wasn’t available. So we dug in, first trying whites, moving on to reds and then to the black cherry wine. I wish I could say I liked even one of them, but I can’t. Some of the wines were tolerable and some were frankly awful. By the time we finished the ten pours we couldn’t figure out what bottle we could could possibly want. Eventually we settled on the Zin. We’ll likely give it away.

Nice place to drink wine in Rancho. The atmosphere is pretty nice– it’s an old building on the site of the first winery in California. The staff is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the wine is not very good. I had a tasting(5 wines), an additional one tasting, and a glass. I was quite disappointed in the wines. A couple of the wines were decent, but for the most part they were poor wines. This place has a lot going for it, but since their wine is their main draw, they really need to improve their wines.
