Pricey for a mediocre quality of food. The service can be a little slow around peak times as well, which is disappointing for those of us that are here for a meeting and only have a little bit of time to eat.

Had the breakfast buffet here. I always love a omelet station with fresh made omelettes. Other offerings included eggs Benedict, bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs, French toast, etc. Cost was around $ 25pp. I liked it more then hubby did who was hoping for some hot lunch type entrees and perhaps a carving station. It’s breakfast only and not enough variety as he said. Otherwise I enjoyed it

Me and the husband went for dinner on Sunday. Ryan our server and Xochil the busser where very friendly and helpful. We ordered the calamari it was delicious, then I order the shrimp scampi and he got the chicken Marsala, my scampi was ok. but the chicken Marsala was superb, then to finish off we order the caramel chocolate soufflé.. Definitely hit the spot. Will be back soon.

Here for a work conference and I got to check out this place three ways — bar, private dining room and happy hour. All three experiences were really enjoyable! The bartender was incredibly friendly and really made us feel relaxed. We met a lovely woman and her elderly mother at the bar who shared with us their adventurous day to Salvation Mountain. Look it up — it sounds pretty incredible! The private dinner was really amazing — they had us choose from a 3 course meal and you really couldn’t go wrong with any of the selections. They started us off with an Amuse Bouche — a fig with bacon and balsamic vinegar reduction. I had the Roasted Tomato Basil Soup, the Porcini Mushroom Risotto and Tiramisu — all were delicious! The next night out on the patio, there was a reasonable Happy Hour menu including Meatball Sliders, Mango Wings, and Pizzas.

We ate here purely out of necessity, I prefer the many other fantastic choices the desert has to offer, but we had my 89 year old father with us and did not feel like venturing off the grounds. I had spinach pappardelle with shrimp. The spinach pappardelle itself had a very funky taste that I could not get past. The shrimp were awful… It tasted as though the cook had taken shrimp that was previously steamed for a shrimp cocktail and reheated. The dish in its entirety has no flavor other then what I had mentioned. Other dishes ordered were the chicken piccata, which was very dry and also lacking any real flavor. We ordered artichokes hearts for app, and they were very bland. Service was marginal. The servers were very pleasant, but somewhat nonexistent. Whenever we needed anything, we had to ask another staff member to locate our server. All and all this is a a typical hotel restaurant.

Came here for my anniversary while staying at the Westin. The service was great the atmosphere was wonderful and the food was really very good. The only downside to the entire experience was that I ordered a small Caesar salad to come before my meal and they forgot to bring it to me.

We were not all that impressed with Pinzimini. Service was awkward and, although kind, not great. We basically had to beg several waiters for water after being seated for 20 minutes, despite having asked for it upon being seated. However, they gave us more of the bread without any sneering that we were basically requesting free food… perhaps it was because we were waiting a really long time even for the appetizer. The food was only okay. Baby artichoke appetizer was fine, but nothing special(despite our deep love of artichokes). We got the spaghetti and butcher block meatball, and shrimp scampi… both of which were pedestrian versions. However, he really enjoyed the side of polenta with apples and herbs. There are better choices in the area.

Enjoyed the best tomato soup with kale I ever had. My meat sauce pasta dish was excellent. The panacotta dessert is a winner. The ambience is classy and is decorated nicely. Loved everything about this place including our server, Angel and the manager of this place. Great value for the work they put into the food. The chef has a great palate for food.

Ok… really? The food was so bad! Service was bad. Why in Gods name did I go there? Oh yeah, I live across the street… Always willing to give the Westin the benefit of the doubt, no more. This place needs help.

I dont know where I stand on this place. It’s convenient as it is in the Westin but the food was just ok. The staff are simply amazing! They make sure that your experience is just about perfect every time you are there. They are very hospitable. It seems that the cooks get a little lazy or just don’t care about what they serve because on one occasion I got burnt toast and they simply«covered it» so I wouldn’t see it. That would’ve worked if I didn’t eat carbs but I do and I got a bitter burnt taste in my mouth when I bit into it, not pleasant. They rectified the situation and I was brought lightly toasted toast.

This restaurant has the best parts of this resort. We came here for dinner and also for the buffet brunch the following day and both times we had a good experience. For the dinner or food was good and the price was fair. My ribeye was made exactly as I wanted and expected it to be. The rest of the party was also happy with their meal. Service was also exceptional, we were attended to nonstop from our drinks being refilled to our table being cleaned. The next morning brunch was also a good experience. Although the brunch was nothing exceptional and included the regular brunch type of food everything was perfectly made and great tasting. That your reservations I have about this place was one; that’s there were so many flies flying around that at some point it was very annoying and difficult to enjoy the food. Although we were sitting inside the doors were constantly being opened and closed. The second reservation was the price, although the food was good I think that it’s slightly overpriced for what it was probably because it’s at a resort. If I ever come back to this resorts it would be to visit this restaurants

I have been to Pinzmini several times during visits to the resort and villas… a few times for breakfast, once for lunch and now once for dinner. We have had different experiences each time. For lunch my mom had a pizza that she loved and our waiter was very attentive. On our most recent visit, we had both dinner and breakfast. Dinner was fantastic. As SPG(Starwood Preferred Guests), we were invited to a special Friday night cocktail hour from 5−6pm. We were offered our choice of beer or wine. My mom and I both had our glasses filled with White Zinfandel. Both the General Manager and the Executive Sous Chef were on hand to meet people and were very social. Just before last call, we had our wine glasses filled to the brim once more. Did I mention these were complimentary pours? We had my 2 year old daughter with us and the wait staff was kind enough to get some fresh pineapple for her to munch on. As we sat and talked with the Executive Sous Chef, my daughter grew sleepy. We decided to have dinner at Pinzmini since we were already there. They quickly found us a booth and my daughter lay down next to me. My mom and I both ordered the Veal Piccata. We were offered two different kinds of bread that were both very tasty. Before my order arrived, my daughter woke up and was very cranky. She was crying and so several members of the staff attempted to calm her. One brought her crayons and a paper to color on, another brought a giant chocolate chip cookie and a third brought fresh strawberries. My mom went back to our room to get her something to play with and that finally calmed her down. But, in the mean time our food had arrived and I had to step outside as I was worried about disturbing the other guests. Javier, our waiter, was wonderful! He kept my food warm and returned with it once my daughter was finally calm. Other waiters stopped by to check on us and each time I apologized for how loud my daughter was. Each time the response was something to the effect of «we all have kids and this is a family resort.» The wait staff were so wonderful. Unfortunately I only know one other name of the people who helped, Xochtil. She brought a second chocolate chip cookie for my daughter to go. My daughter, once calm, gobbled down the cookie, strawberries and bread. My mom and I both left with such a great feeling about the staff. And the Veal Piccata was pretty delicious too! It came with fingerling potatoes and some vegetables. Had my review been based just on the preceding dinner experience, it might have earned a 5. However, we went back for brunch on Sunday and the experience was literally night and day! Our morning service was abysmal. Our waiter was Jose Luis. He told my mom that she could not have just champagne, only mimosa. He got our first mimosas and then disappeared until almost the end of our meal. His excuse was that he «shared tables.» Well, the waiter he shared with was Salvador and was much better! We had the buffet and it was not as good as I recalled. It is just breakfast foods, with a few lunch meats if someone wants a sandwich. Brunch to me has a nice blend of breakfast and lunch. There was really no lunch option. Where were the salads? the hot lunch dishes? As for mimosa refills, I had to ask a busboy for help — that is when Salvador started helping us out since Jose Luis was off somewhere else. Overall, it is a good restaurant, but the buffet needs to be a little more robust and the service needs to be consistently good to earn a 5 star.

Love, love, love, this place. Luis and Elizabeth took care of us during our entire stay at the Westin Villas Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage. Pinzimini is a great Italian restaurant with a full service bar, with an amazing Sunday brunch, and an awesome lunch and dinner menu as well. From the moment we arrived for our annual girls weekend getaway, sitting at the bar and meeting Luis was a blessing in disguise. He is so attentive and so polite with a personality you can’t help but love. He tolerated all our shenanigans while we got our drannnnk on thru happy hour. And man can Luis make them stiff! Skinny margaritas, strawberry margaritas, sangria, Moscow mules, vodka cran. Loved the fact that he was stocked with my goose AND stoli!!! We stayed at the bar for a few hours since we decided to order a few appetizers since we didn’t stop at second round. We ordered their special Asian chicken salad — so good and delish. Love it when they add the wonton chips in there! Their shrimp avocado salad was fresh and flavorful! Tomato bruchetta was perfect for us who needed some carbs to absorb the alquihol! And of course their crispy calamari. Pinzimini has a great Sunday brunch spread with bottomless mimosas! This includes an omelette station, fresh fruit bar and breads as well as hot items like bacon, french toast, their yummy chicken sausages, etc… And for our Monday breakfast, we ordered their smoked salmon with tofu which was undeniably sooooo delicious!!! And the other girls ordered their spinach eggs benedict. Sooooo good! Their dinner menu was just as impressive as the others. Grilled white fish dressed with mangoes, tomatoes, and other refreshing fruits. Their risotto with mushrooms, red bell peppers, and some greens was divine! And their polenta was one of the best I’ve ever had! So glad we ordered it. Cesar salad with grilled shrimp was bomb! And their Pappardelle de bolognese is a must!!! Desserts that made it to our table was on the house. Their tirimasu was amazing along with their chocolate soufflé! Tack on the calories!!! For a foodie like myself and my girlfriends, the flavors of Pinzimini kept us within the resort. There was no need to go outside of our compound to search for good eats. Pinzimini had it all. Great ambiance and amazing service from Luis and Elizabeth. I would definitely return here again and again! #thankful #blessed#cheers#to#friendship#and#sisterhood

When you practically have to tackle a waiter to get someone to take your drink order, it’s not a good start to your dining experience. Then when our drinks arrived, my friend received the wrong drink and mine did not look like the picture — it was smaller, We ordered off the Restaurant Week menu. Our appetizers, the calamari and cornbread casserole were average — at best. The chicken parmigiana was awful. The chicken overcooked and hard. The sauce spicy hot, but it had no flavor. The dish came with noodles that were cold, rubbery and tasteless. For dessert, my friend’s trio of gelato, vanilla, chocolate and pistachio, was good but my vanilla panna cotta with cherries with the tiniest piece of pistachio bark was tasteless. I didn’t even eat it. At over $ 100 our meal was very overpriced. We probably could have done just as well at the Old Country Buffet! As a footnote, once we got our waiter’s attention, he tried to make the evening right and worked hard to win us over. He did — but the food didn’t.

Watch out for the coffee scam – Right when we sat down, they put coffee on our table and we started drinking it. Little did we know it was $ 6 dollar a person. For starbucks coffee. So upsetting. Because the coffee was so expensive, at that point, it «made sense to get the buffet», according to the waiter. In terms of food, it is a typical Westin breakfast buffet. Full breakfast buffet is $ 26 dollars, and the other non-buffet options aren’t much cheaper. Anyways, I hope that no one else falls victim to the coffee scam in the future!

Stayed at the resort and decided to come to Pinzimini for breakfast. In short, the food was great, the servers were attentive(maybe too attentive) and the coffee was strong as hell — just the way I like it. I ordered«2 eggs any way you like it» — got egg whites, apple turkey sausage and a side of sourdough along with some fruit on the side. All of it seemed really fresh. The turkey sausage was delicious — I wish I knew the brand. The fruit on the side had just been cut. The only«complaint» is that when someone orders egg whites, the cook should automatically assume the guest has a cholesterol problem or is looking to cut calories from the diet. So I am pretty judgmental when there is extra oil in egg whites. While they weren’t overly greasy, I do recommend the cooks lay off a little bit. That said, the food was excellent. The menu was relatively extensive. They don’t have the buffet during the week, but the menu has many items to choose from… pancakes, eggs, light selections, etc.

I’ve only had breakfast here(with breakfast vouchers I received at check in– I was dining alone so if you have a voucher, you can use the entire amount of $ 37!) the granola pancakes were great, but it’s not as pancakey as you would think. It was still very good. Eggs are great here and they have a really nice hot tea selection(vanilla rooibos was the best!)

If it weren’t for the major convenience of this restaurant, I would never set food here. Convenience mainly because it’s on the hotel property and if you don’t want to drive off — then this place is here. But with convenience comes money and therefore this place is openly and obviously overpriced. You would think you get better service here but it’s all the same. Unless you go to the bar, which the bartender is actually very friendly. Just for myself, I spent $ 25 for breakfast. For two, and we split plates, we dropped $ 40. That’s fine, but the dishes aren’t exactly top notch quality and there is no gold sprinkled on my meal so reality — two stars cause we are overpaying, and they know it.
