Well it is a challenge. The view and the service is outstanding. Complimentary«water» both regular and sparkling, is clever. The steaks are $ 80 — $ 150. Really no justification for it. The steaks are fine, truly hard to justify this price point. I was married here at the Ritz. I get it. If you are looking for a good steak without all the pomp and circumstance, there are many other options here in the desert.

Just had the most amazing dinner there tonight! The service was A1. The steak melted in your mouth, the drinks were outstanding as well. We had a wonderful table that over looked the spectacular views! Brian, our server was the king of hospitality. Gives fantastic service while being entertaining and sincere. He made our experience all the more wonderful. I would highly recommend The Edge for a truly wonderful experience!

Amazing steakhouse! they have the highest quality of steaks and a Nice variety to choose from. Their foie gracould be much better but their wagyu stake is outstanding. They are very expensive and the reason I am giving a four star review is because I expected better service. The servers were very snobby and not friendly. They came when we didn’t need them and they weren’t there when we needed them.

One of the best dining experiences. We made a reservation a month in advance for Valentine’s Day weekend and so glad we did. The restaurant was fully committed and we were so excited after reading the reviews. The view from the restaurant is gorgeous. The establishment overlooks Palm Springs and we had a table facing it. The entire staff made us feel welcomed and happy. Impeccable service from start to finish from everyone. Now onto the food… DELISH! The amuse bouche of tiger prawn was perfectly cooked and had a well rounded smokey flavor coming from the sauce. My classic Caesar was on point. The foie gras was beautifully presented and yummy. Hub’s 35 day rib eye was juicy and tender. My lobster… YUM! They extracted the meat and stuffed it back in the shell, making it incredible neat and easy to devour. We thoroughly enjoyed the sides. I’m obviously a mushroom lover(it was a citrus medley) and hub’s cleaned house on the creamed corn(they ground up the kernels). Towards the end, they gave a complimentary pour of Port and Grand Marnier while we enjoyed our chocolate pudding. Oh, they also served bread w/softened butter and boy, those mini rolls were piping hot and super fresh. Great atmosphere paired w/delicious food served by an amazing staff. THUMBSUP.

I have been to more exclusive high end restaurant then many people in this world. I was absolutely blown away by the level of personal attention and care that this restaurant provides for its clients. Absolutely AMAZING service that rivals top michelene rated, exclusive high high end restaurants from Croatia-France-new York to Las Vegas finest… Bravo gentlemen … I’ll definitely be back

This place swept me off my feet. From the drive into, the service, the view, the food, and the moments their attentive environment nurtured. I came in with the wrong reservation, a day off… but they accommodated my party with a most coveted view… if not the most coveted view of the fireworks. It was July 4(long overdue post, just now finding time) and the manager, waiter and wine specialist were all amazingly, more importantly, authentically helpful. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Had heirloom tomatoes and filet mignon, friend had halibut… both were perfection. The waiter was bothered at the timing of the appetizers with the main entrée more than we were which just shows their level of attention and care. Was so cute how bothered he was by it. I can’t recommend this place enough, it’s simply magical and my friend and I still think and talk about it and almost taste the meal we had when we do. A couple got engaged right next to us, the same waiter very attentive with setting the live orchestra(and telling us before hand, low key«btw»); I imagine the couple having an equally memorable meal and moment here, and reminiscing in much the same way. This place certainly has loyalty from my friends and I when we’re in town. For once, a business my highly critical self can’t find anything wrong with!

I would love to give this place 5 stars, as the food, drinks, view, and service deserve it. However, for a few hundred dollars for dinner for three, one would like to have easy access to a restroom. There is one unisex restroom, with one toilet, here for the entire dining room. If you are drinking a lot, or have a medical issue, this is something to be considered. If you can’t wait, the closest bathroom is a good walk into the main hotel. I won’t return.

One of the best steak houses I have been to anywhere. Situated on the #RitzCarlton property in #RanchoMirage, the restaurant sits towards the edge of the downward slope of hill which gives it an amazing unobstructed view across the entire valley. We were sat promptly and the attentive waitress and her assistant were are our table instantly taking our drink order and explaining the menu. The drinks along with water and a nice selection of freshly baked bread were delivered to our table shortly there after. For dinner we split the dry aged New York, with the mac and cheese and brussel sprouts as sides. There is something to be said about a high quality piece of beef that has been aged for 21 days and is cooked perfectly. Everything that came out of the kitchen to our table that night was sure perfection both in presentation as well as taste profile. The service was equally excellent. This is the type of restaurant to put on your must visit next time you are in the area list, but make sure you are saving your pennies, because it’s not for the wallet faint of heart. #edgesteakhouse #ritzcarlton #ranchomirage

The Edge Steakhouse at the Ritz Carlton in Rancho Mirage is in a great setting with a nice elevated view of the desert. My family arranged an 80th birthday at the chefs table here with a group of 12 people. The experience we had here had its pros and cons, but I was definitely left underwhelmed by The Edge Steakhouse. The evening started with cocktails which were decent but I was sad that my Moscow mule wasn’t served in a copper cup! The bread was fresh and the appetizers were tasty. I had the calamari appetizer which was full of flavor and definitely unique. They also served a complementary single serving of beef tartare to each guest which was a nice little touch. At this point in the evening the service was pretty good. There were two waiters at our table and other staff filling waters and attending to dishes. Everything started to go downhill around dinner time. They were out of certain things like the sea bass(which is on their main menu). This to me was a red flag. For a nice place like this they should be able to provide what is on their menu. I ordered the petite fillet cooked medium. When we were served our entrée, they did not pay attention to who ordered what so random meals were put down in front of people and I ended up with a blood rare steak and my brother in laws steak was very over cooked. The manager came over and offered to replace our meals but then I would be sitting there without a plate while our entire party ate. I was so put off that I kept my dinner but when you pay double the price of any other steakhouse, the dinner should be perfect. Although this part was disappointing, I enjoyed the sides of Brussels sprouts and baked potatoes. Overall, the experience was decent but definitely far from perfect. At a place like The Edge, our party expected better. I reluctantly give the place three stars, but everyone makes mistakes and it could have been an off night. If I could I would give two and a half stars.

Yes, feeling spoiled, cuz hubby surprised me. First off, I had no idea that there were restaurants with views like this in the Palm Springs area. This restaurant is located at the Ritz and is on the edge of a ledge with expansive views. It’s gorgeous. Second, the customer service is 5 stars. EVERY staff member was friendly and personable. We started our evening with a couple specialty cocktails at the bar. I had the Lavender Lady & hubby had the«best margarita ever.» Both drinks were fantastic to start our evening. When our table was ready they told us to leave the drinks because they’ll deliver them to the table. Awesome. We were led to a booth at a window with GORGEOUS views. I Loved it. They employ 2 servers to wait on you(it felt closer to 6). Wine: Bottle of Stag’s Leap Cabernet. They decanted it. Excellent. Starter: Caesar Salad-good(I love when they put a couple anchovies), but needed a tad bit more dressing. Entrée: I had the Petite Filet Mignon cooked Medium Rare. This was prepared PERFECT. Almost crispy on outside, yet moist and red inside. They give you a sauce to choose from and I had the Blue Cheese. It was flavorful and a great sauce for me. Sides: Creamed Corn-Fantastic. This was our favorite; so creamy. Baked Potato-cut into quads; loved the quality cheese they melted & quality bacon bits We wanted dessert, but were too full. An incredible evening!

Went here for the weekend to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Service: amazing ! Probably 5 stars because of the service… our waiters and waitress were really attentive making sure we got everything we wanted. I do like their recommendations with foods and wine. Also, they do Come around offering complementary«shots». Food: we got a couple of appetizer to start… I did not like either one of them. I ordered the prime rib with cream corn and mushroom. I enjoyed the steak very much. Super tender! Environment: beautiful view, you can see the sun set. It’s amazing. I would only come here for the view and service… Not much on the food; I enjoyed mastro or studio more though.

An absolutely perfect dinner. For our anniversary we chose The Edge for the amazing view. But the food and service were beyond description. Our window side table was ready on time. Eric at the bar is welcoming and talented. The filet was without a doubt the best I’ve ever had, along with the side of mushrooms. Everything was delivered hot to the table. The complimentary apéritif was a nice touch. We will be back. Soon.

It doesn’t get much better than this. After reading the 5-star reviews for the new Edge Steakhouse, I made a reservation for a romantic dinner for my boyfriend’s birthday. I requested a booth by the window and beforehand, we had drinks while watching the sunset at the main bar area outside at the Ritz Carlton. The experience was one of the best I’ve had a a restaurant. We were treated to white-glove service, with everyone knowing our names. The constant attention to details made the evening perfect. They restaurant offers complimentary flat or sparking water and the views of the Coachella Valley were spectacular. We felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant. I ordered the halibut and my boyfriend ordered the petit filet. They brought over a complimentary birthday dessert, along with a birthday card signed by all of the staff. I can’t recommend this place enough for a special occasion. We will definitely come back.

When I heard that the Birthday Celebration for my girlfriends Grandpa’s Birthday was going to be held at the edge Steakhouse, I got excited because the reviews sounded really positive. Upon arrival, We valeted the cars and was escorted to the end of the hotel where the Steakhouse was located. What a great view you get when coming to this restaurant. I could already tell just from the décor & view that this was going to be a dinner that will blow me away… I was so wrong. So as we sit down, we had to wait a little before we are able to order some drinks. I got a Moscow mule and was disappointed to see the drink was not put in the proper cup. The drink was tasty and solid in comparison to other Moscow mules. I shared a gulf of Mexico calamari appetizer dish with my girlfriend. While it was nothing like what we expected, it was decent and interesting. The base layer was filled with rich red lentil. then topped with a sausage tartare, and a couple of grilled calamari dishes were topped on. AS you will see through my review, price is a big issue with the restaurant. the appetizer was however was reasonably priced. The main Course: I decided to order the New York prime dry aged Steak with Brussel Sprouts and Baked Potatoes as my sides. Upon arrival of the food, the Service went down the drain! First i was given the completely wrong dish. If I was not observant I would have bit into the petite Filet Mignon. My Girlfriend ordered her steak medium and it came out cold and rare. A huge mistake when your looking for a customer to pay almost $ 100 for a meal at this establishment. Her Brother in law ordered the exact same steak as me, but his steak came to WELLWELL done. Im sorry but if you expect someone to pay for a steak that is double the price than what it is supposed to be at, the Service and execution must be perfect. After talking to multiple wait staff and management, the meal was comped. Regardless of what happened, it still stood as a poor outlook of the Establishment. My steak was good, not great. The chimichurri sauce was extremely oily and did not complement my steak. I enjoyed the sides and was super full after the meal was all said and done. Overall, I could not see myself giving this establishment more then a 3 out of 5 stars. The lack of execution really hurt them and the service messing up my order was very frustrating. The steak 100% did not match the price at all. I do not know how they are able to get away with hiking up the steaks to these ridiculous prices. The execution and overall taste of the steaks matched a $ 35-$ 45 price point, not the insane $ 85!

I made a reservation here for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner three days before our trip to Palm Springs, they only had two dinner time left on Opentable — 5pm and 9pm so I took the 5pm. They are only open Friday-Sunday so I was lucky to even get a reservation! This place was amazing, we were seated on a booth next to the window so we had a pretty great view. The service: super exceptional, I absolutely loved our waitress and waiter(yup we had two people waiting on us — made us feel pretty cool haha) Sally was her name and she was so enthusiastic and sweet, I really loved her energy. She was super helpful and checked up on us an appropriate number of times. The other waiter wasn’t around much but he did come by a few times as well. On top of that, the other staff were on top of everything — from filling up our water glasses to cleaning up the dishes. I have to say I tipped a lot more than usual. The food: since it was my boyfriend’s birthday — I spoiled him a bit — told him he should order the Japanese Wagyu beef — 6oz for $ 95…as for myself I had the 8oz filet mignon and we shared a 3lb lobster and started with soft shell crab and a Caesar salad. We didn’t order dessert but our waitress was so sweet to give my boyfriend this awesome chocolate mousse hazelnut cake with a chocolate happy birthday sign. I had a couple of bites of the Wagyu and wow did it melt in my mouth — the cool thing about it was when we ordered it, Sally took out a whole block of it — to show us and showed us again when they cut out 6 ounces of it before cooking it. Other diners around turn to look at it and it was like whoa… a whole block of perfectly marbled Japanese Wagyu beef. Cool experience! The lobster was ridiculously huge! awesome flavor but even tastier with drawn butter. mMmMm. overall awesome, crazy delicious food! Okay this was a super splurgy dinner but totally worth it. Awesome service, friendly and energetic people, amazing and delicious food and a great view. Every penny well worth spent. :) I totally recommend this restaurant for pretty much any occasion — especially if you want to impress a date or have a super romantic evening with a special someone. The place outside the restaurant is a great place to chill around after dinner — it is after all located inside the Ritz-Carlton.

Epitome of fine dinning and attention to details. As soon as you walk in through their door, you will be treated as a VIP. Complimentary drinks, amuse-bouche, white AND black cloth napkins are on the table for you to choose from. Everyone will stop by to greet you, from the manager to the server and if you’re lucky, you’d get to talk to the chef. The food is fantastic and totally worth very penny. We all ordered steaks that night and all was just indescribable, just like butter in your mouth. Don’t forget to order side dishes, they are just as delicious. Can’t wait to go back again.

Excellent Service! Best Service I’ve EVER had and I’ve had really great service before! Hehe =) FYI Closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. Only open for dinner. Eric at the Bar was awesome! Had a lot of diverse Bar Knowledge & his own twist on things… Bitters, Old Fashions, Wines, etc… Plus he had a great personality & demeanor… Great start to our dining experience. We were sat at a nice table viewing the beautiful sparkling desert below… gorgeous! Our servers were Sally & Chad… Very helpful pair explained many great options on the menu… Seamlessly served us well… Great recommendations & personalities! The Lava cake was good & the tangerine sorbet was delicious!!! Lots of flavor! Complementary bottled water is offered… choose Fizzy or Flat. Lemon & lime wedge will be brought to the table. Tony was really nice & brought our bread… choices of wheat & sourdough… both were great! Sourdough was Tony’s recommendation… Dan, the manager, is very warm, personable, helpful, & accommodating. We did have a little issue & there was no hesitation on his part to make it right… We started with the prawns… a little disappointing as there were only 3… but the flavor & the sauces & caviar made up for it. ;-) We had the Petite Fillet, Medium Rare… so tender & wonderful! The Edge steak sauce was brought with it for variety. My husband really enjoyed the light sauce but the steak in no way needed sauce. I thought it had a nice flavor as well. We also shared the 3 lb Whole Lobster for a surf & turf feel… Very yummy but a small part of it was a little undercooked, they fixed that right away. Good Job! My advice… Stick with the Steaks! The Lobster wasn’t as impressive as the Fillet… Also, arrive early & sit in the lounge chairs under the heaters & relax as you view the beautiful desert below before embarking on this culinary journey.
