The best Italian spot in the south bay! The service is so friendly. The food is so gooood! Other owners should learn from this place on how to treat and service their customers! 10 stars if I could.

We had them cater for a Christmas event we were hosting for our residents and they were loved by all! We were expecting to feed around 100+ people and they worked with us on finding the perfect menu, including vegetarian options. The servers that came out were extremely nice and helpful during the party. Everything we had was so delicious, I would definitely recommend them and would love to have them cater for us again.

Nice little homey place with the owner on the wall of the establishment. Having grown up in the Inland Empire and having gone to the original Vince’s spaghetti since I was little I hold these family run restaurants to a higher standard. That being said, I ordered a Pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Unfortunately the order was wrong, but the nice lady quickly saw that a new one be made and she insisted I take both pizzas home. When I got home and started eating the pizza I noticed immediately that the cheese was very stringy and clumped on the pizza like I just made some nachos. The Pizza dough inside was thick and kind of mushy, nothing memorable. The sauces and toppings were also very bland. Rather disappointing as I live around the corner from this restaurant, the lady and staff were so nice, but pizza is on their sign and what they are supposed to be known for and it wasn’t good at all.

Great little neighborhood place with a friendly staff and good food. I had the linguini with calamari in white sauce and it was great, not too oily, just perfect and well seasoned. We also shared a huge salad at the table with the house dressing. It was nice with a lot of green romain and a great house dressing.

Went to this restaurant last night… it’s such a fun place… you are like family there when you walk in the door. Theresa is the owner, and she’s wonderful. She is very attentive and so is everyone who works there. She introduces you to other people next to you… as she really does know everyone who walks in the door. My husband had the beef ribs that they make every Friday and Saturday, and he loves his ribs and said they were the BEST. I had the baked mostaccioli, and the serving was huge… all served with yummy garlic bread. My friend ordered a Margharita pizza(personal size) and she loved it. I highly recommend going to this restaurant… the food, the atmosphere is great. It’s up on Western by All Pets and Wells Fargo. and LOTS of leftovers to take home… LOVETHISPLACE !!.

Ice in my salad. Lasagna was really salty. Spaghetti was over cooked(too soft not al dente) and watery sauce from the spaghetti not being drained properly. The sauce doesn’t taste fresh. The reason I’m giving 3 stars is the friendly service. It was awesome. Wouldn’t eat here again though. Oh Ya tiramisu was great but it was partly frozen. Maybe they need to check their cooler?

Our group saw these pizzas and had to try them. Lots of rich looking sauce and bubbling cheese, browned, not burnt. We were right on the sauce and cheese but this crust tasted like a thicker version of the crust you get when you buy one of those pizzas in a box and make your own. This is possibly the worst crust I’ve come across since, well since I met my first mother-in-law. The only reason I am considering going back is that they also make a pizza sub; the Italian bread should be okay, the sauce is good, the cheese is good and the toppings were good, so maybe this is the winner here.

Good family style Italian joint. The green salad is basic and tasty. I liked that the lettuce was fresh green romaine. Not the cheap lettuce that’s white. The potions are huge, everyone took leftovers home. They also Steve the old school French by garlic bread slices that could feed a small village.

You have to try the speciality pizza! Wow! And the half chicken with roasted garlic dinner is amazing. The house dressing(Italian) on the dinner salad is clearly homemade and delicious.

Great Italian-American classics but the hidden gem here is the monthly special prime rib dinner. It comes with a side of spaghetti in marinara, Italian green beans, salad and bread. The size of this thing is like a manhole cover! It’s nearly 3 inches thick and bigger than your face. It’s unreal. You’ll eat for days off this meal. GETTHEPRIMERIBDINNER!

Domenicks is always a fantastic experience The pizza is the best around, and I especially love the pasta with pesto and shrimp The garlic toast with melted cheese is the best, and i also love all of their sandwiches– especially the sausage The raviolis are packed full of either meat or cheese, with a generous amount of their homemade sauce slathered on top — so delicious, and i have to say, the portions are HUGE. One dinner is always really two. Every so often they also have Prime Rib specials(usually on or around holidays)… When they have it, there is a line out the door — Highly recommend — i promise, you will not be disappointed with the Prime Rib special They also make their own blue cheese salad dressing(delicious!) and their own house dressing that is an Italian with plenty of garlic — LOVE! The customer service is above and beyond. Teresa always has a huge smile and greeting for everyone that walks in the door and she makes sure that you are well fed and happy She makes you feel so welcome and is just so sweet; you just always want to come back. If you are looking for authentic, delicious Italian food and a positive dining experience, go to Domenicks. * Please Note: They also have a location in Carson, as well. Its on Avalon just south of Sepulveda

We were spending a nice Sunday afternoon with friends who live up the hill and wanted to pick up some pizza for us and the kids. Since I’m not familiar with the pizza joints over there, our friends’ first choice was Bonello’s but it turns out they were closed on Sundays so they suggested we pick up Domenicks. We ordered a couple pizzas and a salad(probably the antipasto… I can’t find an online menu of this joint anywhere!). I went on down to pick up the pizzas and waited just a few minutes during which time the very attentive and friendly staff offered me water and constantly refilled my glass(I drink a lot of water). I really appreciated this because it’s often hard getting refills even when you’re dining out somewhere! While I waited in the small, comfortable and casual space, I noticed many regulars eating what I’m sure was their ‘usuals’ which appeared to be served in very decently sized portions and looked good, like down home, good ‘ol comfort food. I’m a little particular about my pizza, as of course, one should be. While Domino’s has gotten A LOT better over the years and I will actually eat it, there are other pizzas I won’t touch. I won’t touch Fresh Brothers, for instance. Some people love their alleged ‘Chicago-style’ pizza but I found it absolutely tasteless and disappointing because I really love Chicago-style pizza. I won’t touch Chuck E. Cheese pizza which I used to eat as a kid and remember it being much, much better but my kids will eat it. I find Costco pizza actually surprisingly tolerable, almost good. I also find that Scooter’s Jungle up in El Segundo, that kiddie bouncey birthday place, makes their own decent pizza(which is nice if you have to tolerate a kiddie birthday party). Over on my side of the hill, The Appetizer on Deep Valley Drive is downright tasty and beats out Rafaello’s in Lunada Bay as my preferred pizza joint near home(although see my review of Rafaello’s and one of the best sandwiches on the planet, the Torpedo Deluxe, in particular : ). A little farther from home again, Lampost has good pizza and down at the beach, while I’m not a fan of Pedone’s, I’m a big fan of Paisano’s and Manhattan Beach Pizza. I’m also a HUGE fan of San Diego’s small chain PIZZAPORT and I have been known to claim that as my current favorite pizza joint on the planet and I swear that their awesome house-made beer doesn’t sway my opinion at all. So…how was the damn pizza? It was quite good. Better than Pizza Port? No. Better than The Appetizer? Close but probably not. Better than Costco? Probably. I will definitely return… ESPECIALLYFORTHEGARLICSALADDRESSING. Holy smokes, that stuff… well, shoot, when my wife brought my kids over to play with our friends’ kids just the other day, I DEMANDED she stop and pick up a pint. She didn’t, probably to spite me because I swear, I might love this stuff more than her. The salad was good; the dressing was INSANE. I am serious… I like salads but there are only a few AMAZING salads out there and oftentimes, it’s because of the dressing and yum, particularly really really good homemade blue cheese dressing(which will likely lead me to an early death because I like it so much). Or the croutons, or anchovies(which I like a lot… note, this salad does not contain anchovies). I go to Rascal’s in Torrance because their Chinese chicken salad is fantastic and it’s because of the dressing(here’s a cheat: buy the Chinese chicken salad dressing at Costco… it is SUPER close to Rascal’s). Anyway, the fresh garlic salad dressing at Domenick’s is the bomb and we had almost a full pint of it left so I added it to my nightly homemade salads for about a week after. The only reason why I’m not giving them five stars is because the pizza is not my absolute favorite on the planet; I’m giving them room to win me over! Bottom line… good pizza, AMAZING salad dressing. I will absolutely go back and if I’m not nearby, I will continue to work on getting my wife or our friends to pick up a pint of that dressing… for me to bathe in.

A glutton for punishment, I tried this restaurant again. Ordered dinner 7:25 pm medium Pepperoni/Mushrooms Pizza & Small plate ½ & ½. Told 30 minutes no problem. Arrived and food was ready but. Asked for pizza cut in squares, NOT. Server said the cook misinterpreted it to be cut small pieces. OK, whatever, the pizza was the only good thing and why I gave this one star. The pasta. WOW. never ever again. This place has really gone down the tubes. I ordered the ½ & ½ from the small bites menu and the sauce had zero flavor, tasted like plain greasy tomato sauce from the can even had a metallic taste to it. No spices, seasonings what so ever. The meatball was so hard and dense even the neighbor’s dog couldn’t digest it and hacked it up after a couple bites — no kidding! The pizza was pretty good and really no complaints but I doubt I’ll ever order here again as this is the second time I’ve had an issue and it doesn’t seem to get any better. Its a shame because I used to eat here all the time and really enjoyed the food.
