The store is nice overall. I visit this store nearly every single day, sometimes twice a day. It’s the closest grocery store to my home, so it’s convenient. What must be said is that they need to stop selling old perishable food items, especially in the meat and seafood department. Buyer beware: do not purchase the fish that is on sale. It is so old that it smells foul. Problem is that you can’t tell when you purchase it. You can only tell when you unwrap the package. I keep forgetting and have done it a few times already. Besides that, I’ve also had to check the expiration dates on everything I purchase there because they don’t pull it on a daily basis, obviously.

I was really surprised with this Ralph. It is definitely different from the other Ralphs out there. First of all, the presentation here of all the items is nothing short of spectacular. Everything is organized and the premise is very cleaned and well-maintained. I came here to pick up some medications and the staffs were very helpful and quick. I got everything done in about 10 minutes. Will definitely frequent this particular Ralphs!

In my opinion, this is the worst grocery store in the entire South Bay. I have been there on countless occasions only to find their shelves consistently are missing the most basic products. Also, the employees are not friendly and not helpful.

Love this supermarket. Super spacious/clean, fresh produce, excellent parking situation, and relatively good selection of organic/“natural” food products. They carry more gluten free products than most supermarkets as well. There are lots of supermarkets that are closer to my home but the extra 10 minute drive(and Catalina view) is totally worth it!

This is one the best Ralphs in the area. They have fresh produce. They have a bakery too. They have fresh cakes and pastries. They also have fresh baked bread. They also have a sushi chef that makes fresh sushi everyday. The sushi pretty good considering that it’s super market sushi. They also have a wide variety of fresh seafood and meats that are priced reasonably. They also have a huge wine section. I’m sure you will find whatever wine you are looking for. They also have a salad bar and prepared food section as well. Furthermore, they also have fresh flowers that are always looking good. This ralphs has everything you are looking for. You won’t have to go to any other super markets because they have literally everything.

So tired of going to this market and getting expired food. I once purchased croutons last month(Feb 2016) and was in shock when I saw the expiration date of November 2014 on the bottom. I went back and found two more and some from 2015. I pointed it out to the manager who removed it without remorse or a care. The employees hate it there. How do I know? They talk to each other about how much ‘it sucks to work there’. They smoke right outside the entrance which fills up the front ten percent of the store. People have remarked about it a number of times all to be met with not caring. The salad bar is good, but not restocked so when you go in for dinner time, you are getting lunch hour lettuce if there is any left. If you need help, be ready to wait. There is one person there who is good. It is a tall blond lady that has been there for years. If they could clone her and fire the rest, they would have a good store. It is too bad to see her hustling and working so hard among a pool of unmotivated, smoking people that openly hate their jobs. Please, Ralph’s…at least hate your jobs and put up fresh food.

In addition to a large, well stocked, and well organized supermarket, you will find a number of things here that make for a pleasant experience: Full Salad Bar including entrée Salads, Soups etc Fresh made Sandwiches and Hot Entrees too. A spacious«patio» style central dining area Starbucks inside the store. Fresh flowers, greeting cards, gifts Books as well as magazines Banking services(I think it’s One West Bank) plus ATM’s Party supplies, toys Prescription Pharmacy plus all over –the– counter Items you might expect. Fresh Bakery(way too tempting !) Easy parking on both front and back of the store Ocean, Coastline and island views. They even give you plastic and paper grocery bags. Some items are a bit pricier than elsewhere, but there are very good deals if you keep your eyes open. Have fun !

They have a disengaged management and labor force, as many grocers in this area do. If they fail to stock a product, the usual response is «That’s a problem with the corporate office. ‘They’ control that.» That attitude and excuse wears thin with rising prices, and many other markets in the area to choose from. I used to shop here often, but they suddenly stopped carrying several items that are staples in our house. With few things to buy there, I simply drive by to a local competitor. Guess what the answer was when I asked store staff about the changes. «That’s a problem with the corporate office. ‘They’ control that.» I suppose I should be happy for them, They have so many loyal customers that they are willing to give customers to competitors. It’s unusual to find such a charitable attitude when so many grocery’s are going out of business.

I had a wonderful experience in the pharmacy department. Don’t remember the name but the two employees were extremely helpful. I felt like I was in a place where people cared about their customers!

This Ralphs location has the friendliest staff. I come here every week if not almost every day to pick up something I need for home. They always have a nice greeting or smile on their face. The store is kept clean by the employees as well as fully stocked. The deli department looks brand new every morning. The choices are endless in what you can grab for a breakfast pick me up to a delicious fresh lunch prepared by Ralphs staff in the early morning. I shop at stores for myself and for work so my expectations are very high due to how many people are consuming what I purchase. I want the best quality every time and this store keeps up with my needs 110%.

Bull case: Since rich people frequent this Ralph’s the service and décor are sophisticated. The employees will often call you«sir» or «ma’am» and the location has a wine aisle that tells me the key to success is alcohol. The deli here is quite good and it has a starbucks and good meat aisle. Bear case: I’m not rich yet. Just a HENRY. Pigs Get Slaughtered: This place has a better view of the ocean than you do.

The store upkeep and selection set of food is phenomenal, truly an aspirational blueprint for any grocery store. The staff is not necessarily on par with the amazing store, go and you will better understand what I’m saying. I always enjoy my shopping experience here. My girls like the sushi counter, which is fresh, my wife likes the impressive fresh flower area, and I like the bakery. Did I mention that they also have an in store Starbucks? For vegetable snobs, they have fresh/organic produce, and their meat is also quality. This Ralph’s is worth the visit.

This store was our go to shopping spot when we visited Rancho Palos Verdes. While alot of the staples we bought were very expensive(even more so than back home in Westchester) I was pleasantly surprised with the big selection of affordable organic produce. Very impressive. My kids also loved that they were doling out samples all over the place; cookies, cheese, apples, you name it, they ate multiple helpings without thinking twice. Staff was very friendly too, a nice change of pace from the horde of jaded employees we usually have to deal with. Five stars all the way.

OK, just cooked a piece of salmon from here last night, and I’m shocked. The color had seemed«off» when we purchased it(dark pink), but I just attributed that to it being a larger piece of fish filleted down the sides… we usually buy the salmon steaks cut in the cross section(never from here, though). The fish didn’t taste fresh when I took it straight out of the pan, and this morning, as I’m loading the dishwasher, I notice that the pieces left in the cookware have turned a caustic neon glow orange. I eat a lot of salmon, and have never noticed this before. I now believe they injected it with some sort of dye. We paid $ 25 for the salmon, which was about four servings worth. I will be tossing the rest …

I already love Ralph’s to begin with. Good service, great manager’s specials and this one comes with ocean, canyon and cataline views, yeah wow. Plenty of parking, we actually stood and took in the view for awhile before going in, yeah it’s like that. Big store, super clean, great staff, good deals, fast check out, not too full, all around excellent store up on the hill, with a gorgeous view, yup I’ll be back.

All Supermarkets are, what all Supermarkets are… They sell food, drinks, and all that kind of stuff… But, this is my Ralph’s. I go here all the time and I have been coming here forever and ever. Sure, some of the staff here are a little if-y. You know who you are. But, most of the people who work here are seriously nice and really go out of their way help you out. This Ralph’s has a great selection of food and alcohol. Plus, their deli is a great one-stop-shop for lunch or dinner. What can I say, this is my Supermarket.

Can’t believe I haven’t yet reviewed the best Ralph’s on the planet. When I «checked in» recently, Unilocal reminded me that my «review awaits». Dang, they’re on the ball… So. There’s a Ralph’s right down the street from me in Torrance, but most times I choose instead to drive up on the PV Hill to go to this location because: Gorgeous ocean, canyon, and Catalina views from the parking lot. My bank has a branch inside the store.(Bet my review awaits for them, too.) Easy breezy parking in 2 big lots that are never crowded. Not much traffic in the area, period. Nice organic fresh produce section. Big store, immaculately clean. Friendly, helpful employees. If lines get a bit long at checkout, they quickly open more check stands. The paper bags have handles, unlike my local Ralph’s down the street. Now. Palos Verdes is not the cheap seats. I assume customers would raise hell if their paper bags were downgraded to the ones without handles. And they would gripe if they waited in long lines. This is PV, after all. Works for me! I drive an extra 10 minutes for hassle-free Ralph’s shopping. I enjoy spectacular views on the drive up, and on the way down. I look forward to running out of organic cucumbers just so I can drive up the hill. Best. Ralph’s. Ever.

I wish they had this particular Ralph’s where I live(never in my dreams of course, unless I win the Lotto & move to the Ritzy area), but I must say it is really nice! Have a fresh selection of produce, meats, bakery & floral section, actual pharmacy, etc. A large variety of drinks, kind of like the juices from Trader Joe’s. They have a Sushi chef or «sushi-ya» that makes fresh sushi right there & then(oh my!) Alcohol, specifically wine & beer also varied a plenty. Customer service was also friendly and very helpful. I agree w/the other reviewer, this is a market God would shop in(to go further w/that) a grocery store the Gods handcrafted… and yes when in the area, I will find any excuse to go there, even if it is for TP… lol
