This place is awesome! We were in the area because we were scouting elk and we wanted some breakfast 2 days in. We were seated quickly and greeted by a wonderful server. Even have wifi! Food was great and felt like mom made it. Price is good and service is even better!

A diner that is full of small town charm. We walked in at 9am for breakfast on our way out of Mt. Rainer, and I swear that every single person stopped to look up when we walked in. Everyone in the diner was at least 30 years older and they all appeared to know each other. For someone who grew up and lived in a large city all her life, this place was particularly fascinating to me. The waitress was talking to the table next to us about her children and their lives, it was adorable. I order the Philly cheesesteak omelet, while the bf got the pancake. I liked the omelet, it was filled with onion and peppers, with some pieces of steak. It was pretty good, the spicy mayo on top of the omelet was a nice touch. I do wish there were more pieces of the steak. The pancake was not very good. I thought the texture was a bit too soft as if the batter was too runny. The coffee was very good. Overall, the place served its purpose, we needed a big breakfast before heading to Portland, and this was a good place to stop by.

Visited this café yesterday. First, I ordered open roast turkey sandwich and after quite some time was told that they were out of turkey. Then I ordered a salad and asked them to hold the cheese since I cannot have cheese and the salad came with cheese. I refused to try again and just gave up and finished my iced tea. My husband ordered beef with french dip. He asked if it was rare and was told it was medium. So he ordered it. It arrived so well done and when he moved the slices the sliced meat had an orange color to it and he then smelled it and it smelled bad. The owner came out and was very nasty and insisted the meat was just fine. He refused to remove it from the bill and continued to argue with my husband and then argued with me when I went up to pay the bill. So we wound up paying for food that we couldn’t eat. This owner could use a lesson in customer service. Customers should not have to pay for food that we couldn’t eat. Beware — unless you want to get sick. Or shall I say Good luck

The food is good. I want to give it more stars because of that and because it’s so conveniently located, just a quick drive from some land my extended family keeps as a shared vacation place, but there is a waitress working there who just can’t see me. The first time I encountered this, I walked in the door and stood there a moment, saw her look at me dead-eyed and then away, and then I heard the door open behind me, her eyes changed, and she greeted whoever those people were. After it happened a second time, that was enough. It’s hard enough to walk into a place where, at the sound of the door opening, all the locals swivel around to see if another of their clansmen has just moseyed in without that. Last time, I just drove on by.

We’re headed up to Mount Saint Helens. Randle is the place. In the road where you start up the mountain. Decent meal. Lots of fried food as well as healthy alternatives. Great clam chowder. Decent Gaia sandwich as well. There are two other alternatives in this small town. One the Huff n Puff had lost recommendations on Unilocal. The other one serves teriyaki; we didn’t see any recommendations for this 3rd alternative. Maybe nrxt time.

Awesome! Our waitress, Lu, was the sweetest! The food was really good and a pretty good value. Their milkshakes are similar to Denny’s. Would definitely visit this place again.

Great place with great food. The sign out front was funny lol. My only complaint was that some of the workers were waaaaay too laid back! I mean, like, some random lady walks in, and comes behind the counter, she started talking really loud, and made herself pretty comfy. The workers didn’t even flinch, which gave me the idea that this happens a lot. Anyway, good food! Get the chili!

We rode our Harleys out to have a burger today… looking for a destination I looked on Unilocal to see what came up in Randel, WA. The Mt Adams Café had very good reviews… We were not disappointed! Food was very good! Coffee was great… and the folks working we’re very friendly! Nice stop!

My husband and I had the pleasure of eating lunch here today when we were in the area looking at property. The food was very good. I had the navy bean and ham soup which reminds me of the soup that my mother makes. Our waitress, Jordan, was very sweet and totally on the ball. My husband had a good chat with the owner, Don, about the area. He should definitely be working for the visitors association. He had lots of wonderful things to say about the area. I would definitely stop here for a meal in the future.

Pretty decent food in a good location when coming out of the mountains. We were surprised that the restaurant is for sale, and the price has been lowered as it was crammed at 3PM on a Sunday.

Exactly hits the spot after a long weekend of hiking. Also, one of the friendliest staff that I’ve come across. Though still standard diner fair in a small town, it set a much higher standard for diner fair in a small town than what I previously expected.

This place was awesome. We just came over Forest Road 25 from Windy Ridge on our motorcycles and were hungry. We stopped to get gas and saw this diner across the street. I didn’t have very high hopes but thought we’d give it a try. I ordered the philly cheesesteak and tater tots. This was one of the BEST philly cheesesteaks i’ve ever had. I order them all the time and this one was on a completely different level. The bun was buttered and toasted, the meat was delicious and plentiful, the onions and bell peppers were cooked to perfecting, and the best part was the chipotle mayo they put on it. You HAVE to try it. I am usually a troll on Unilocal and never really write a review, but I was so overly impressed that this is the first thing I’m doing after I got home.

Pretty darn good greasy old style café! It’s the sort of place where the locals crank their necks to look at the out-of-towner(especially if he drives up with rainbow stickers all over his car). But everyone is really nice here. I usually stop there every time I need to travel to eastern Washington. It has a kick ass bacon cheeseburger. I wish the fries were a little better(cheap potatoes), but other than that I always enjoy my meals here. Keep eating local

When the only other option in Randle, Washington is Big Bottom Restaurant and Lounge, you might find yourself at Mt. Adams Café.(I mean, who goes into a place called Big Bottom to order a burger. You’re just sabotaging yourself when you do this.) The café is clean and the staff is fantastic. The food is alright, definitely small town fare. I got the chicken fajita salad and it was… edible. It had potential but it could have been better. I still think Mt. Adams Café is the place to stop in Randle.

Stopped by after a slightly misrouted trip to Mount St Helens with a car load of hungry passengers. Standard diner stuff but very tasty especially when you’ve overshot lunch by three hours. What really made it for our group was the excellent service. A friendly welcome and attentive server all through our meal turned some tired and grumpy travelers back into happy road trippers.

One of the best burger places in my opinion. I ended up passing by this place a couple of times coming back from hikes on Mt Rainier or Mt Helens. Also Mt Adams is close, obviously. Every time, I was amazed by the excellent service and the delicious burger and totes. Highly recommended.

Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning while camping in the area. The only reason I took off a star is for the coffee; meh, it’s not good. But my breakfast itself was fabulous: generous, very reasonably priced, cooked perfectly to order, and tasty. Service was warm, very friendly, welcoming, and speedy. The manager even stopped by my table just to make sure I was getting everything I needed, which I certainly was. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll definitely stop in again.

Pretty good greasy breakfast with friendly service! Stopped here for breakfast twice this past weekend– early Saturday on the way up to White Pass and late Sunday morning on the way back. Each time the place was partially populated by a cadre of regulars in Stihl hats– grizzled old guys enjoying coffee and bitching about all the damn tourists that don’t know how to drive in the snow. Yee-haw! Don’t bother me none… Anyways the breakfast was all I would expect from a roadside diner out in the sticks: hot coffee, greasy hash browns, hearty entrees(had the chicken fried steak Saturday and Denver omlette Sunday). Price was pretty standard for such fare; the bill each day was about $ 12 w/tax. Service was fast & friendly; plenty of coffee refills. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here but would certainly stop again when driving through Randle.

Our family of four stopped here for lunch on a Sunday. You know the food must be good if most of the tables are taken. We all enjoyed our food and the service was great!
