Always a great meal, the waitstaff is amazing, and Donna pours amazing drinks! Food is thoughtfully prepared and seasonally appropriate so everything is always at the peak of freshness. The bread basket is highly addictive containing a host of different types, all delicious dipped in their white bean dip. The location in a strip mall is definitely unusual, but don’t judge a book by its cover!

Certainly the most expensive, but also the best. Ambiance, great wine list and top shelf liqour selection make it a great special occasion dinner spot. The quality of food is truly excellent. I especially enjoy the chops and the pastas.

There’s nothing else in the area that compares! The food is fantastic — world class. The antipasti menu is the most extensive I’ve seen. They should be charging more for the food they offer.

After a long absence and a generous gift card, I returned to Café Bella with 3 friends on a busy Friday night. I made a reservation for 4, a week in advance for a this night – a VERY good idea, especially after reading the prior reviews. We walked in within 5 minutes of our reserved time and were given the last table in a very packed and VERY loud restaurant. This is certainly not a place for a quiet romantic first date dinner – at least not on a weekend night — BUT stay tuned for the positive vibes to come! Let me reiterate, the place was PACKED on a balmy Friday night. The folks waiting sans reservations gave us some envious looks as we secured the last available table, but bravo to us for planning ahead!(take note, MAKE A RESERVATION)!. First of all, we had an exceptional(& incredibly handsome) waiter-Luke. he was ever so busy with multiple tables but still managed to take & deliver our menus, drinks, that so unbelievably good bread,(re-fill) water, deliver appetizer and entrée orders in a timely and efficient manor. EXCETIONAL service– never obtrusive but always aware. A guideline for excellence in my book certainly. As my dad used to say– if your bar bill exceeds your food bill, then then you’ve had a good time and we had a good time indeed! Bar=$ 119 Food= $ 112 and both were equally well executed. The drinks ranged from martinis to manhattans to wine. The food was: 1. beautiful Bolognese, 2. veal Milanese & requested, as extra spicy with bountiful and well prepared littleneck, mussel, sausage with angel hair. All were declared delicious but as I am nominated as the food & wine aficionado I declare Café Bella, the crème de la crème in the area, If you want to partake of this little strip mall’s food excellence and service: 1. Make a reservation – especially on a weekend 2. Ask for Luke! 3. Wine by the glass= the Meiomi Pinot Noir $ 11.50, goes with everything but still overpriced. BUT! be prepared to say, «I never thought I’d find something THIS good in a tiny strip mall in Randolph

I had dinner here just a few days ago, and it was disappointing, I had the short rib rigatoni. It was tasteless. 4 out the 6 of us thought our meals were tasteless. I will not be back.

I really love this place. I had not been in a while and when a friend suggested it for dinner last night, I was thrilled. I got seated pretty quick — not bad for after 6 on a Friday night. Our waiter was great. Food was great. What was weird was the host. We had just finished our cappuccino when I saw him stop by our table, tap his watch, and shake his head. I thought I had to be mistaken. Then, a few minutes later, he came over and did it again! My friend saw it this time. We paid our bill and left. Wow. Rude. We had been there for a while — maybe an hour and a half? But the food took a while. And the ladies next to us had gotten there before us and were sill sitting there when we got the boot. really weird

Pleasant surprise– good food served by an outstanding wait person; she is one of the best service persons we(4) have all met. What a nice evening out in a obviously pleasant place. It appears that the owners have a knack for keeping their strip mall type place hopping! Bar areas full to capacity, indicating a home town feel. Keep it up!

Great food. Great quality. Great ambiance. Great service, a little slow when busy but quality of service is always great. Definitely bang for your buck. Portions are large.

My boyfriend and I were highly disappointed and will not be returning. The service was good and we were seated right away but our food was horrible. My boyfriend ordered the spicy sausage and sweet onion pizza and I ordered the creste di gallo which was extremely salty and the shrimp and pasta was overcooked and both of our dishes were room temperature and not hot. We thought it was strange how fast our dishes were brought to our table considering it was very busy but we are almost certain they must have been premade, our meals were definitely not prepared when we ordered.

Thanks for Unilocalers on helping me find a nice place for dinner! Traveling this week and looking for a trusted location. The location is in a small strip center and has a long bar area as you walk in. The two dining rooms have 10 – 12 tables each. From the first dining room, you have a small view of the kitchen. The smells are awesome and food I selected was prepared perfectly. The table bread comes in three varieties with a creamy dipping sauce. The menu has seafood, pasta, chicken and beef options. One duck dish. There were four additional items not on the menu that were mentioned. The swordfish and tuna sounded great. It is definitely a locals restaurant. The wait staff and host appears to know their guest. I was impressed with the food, the location, and the service.

I ate at Café Bella Saturday night. What a treat! The service was professional but not stuffy. The food was great! i had anti-pasta misti and the Duck. The wine was fairly priced. All in all an excellent place to eat.

Went to Café Bella on a Saturday at 6:30pm and this place was PACKED. Had to wait over an hour for a table but it was well worth it. This place also doesn’t hold reservations so just come early. If you do decide to wait there are a few tables and seats at the bar or you can just walk around at the grocery store down the block. This hidden, strip mall gem is filled with people at all times so it’s quite noisy. The staff is extremely friendly. I had a few waitresses check up on us during the long wait. Outstanding service! Now lets get to the food… Bread Basket: Their focaccia, filled with onions and peppers, is UNREAL. Some of the best I’ve had in Boston Tuna Carpaccio: The tuna was topped with some arugula and a splash of balsamic vinaigrette. Each bite just melted in your mouth Short Rib Rigatoni: This might be the best pasta dish I’ve had. The freshly made rigatoni was hand cut and was cooked to perfection. Combine it with their sauce generously filled with short rib, you can’t go wrong! Love this place. Definitely worth the trip to Randolph

I’m a new Randolph resident and have been totally disgusted with the restaurants in the area. I thought I would have to eat outside of Randolph if I wanted some good food. I was wrong. Hidden in a small plaza in between Dunkin donuts and Five Guys Burgers, there is a restaurant worth eating at. Café Bella: service was 5 star, the server Mark was awesome! My pork chop was the best I’ve ever had. I was with a party of 5. All raved about there food. We will be back soon.

300th Review! Strip mall be damned this place was good. Once you are in the door you don’t even remember that next door used to be a blockbuster. Proof that you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover. They have a really good wine list and the menu is small but with plenty of choices. The bread basket has a few different choices one of them was a forcaccia with caramelized onions baked in. I would have been happy with a whole loaf of that bread. We started my birthday meal out with an antipasto salad that was good but not as good as the rest of the meal My parents also enjoyed some oysters. I had a delicious carbonara dish while my father had braised short rib bolognese rigatoni and that was easily one of the better pasta dishes I’ve had outside of the north end in a really long time. So tasty. My mother opted for a salad. We finished off with two desserts to share a tiramisu which was ok and an slice of eggnog ricotta cheesecake which was AMAZING. A little pricey for the area but worth it for a special occasion. Service is friendly atmosphere was warm and my belly was happy.

North End has great Italian in Boston but this little gem 20 mins south of the city has all the right moves. Great atmosphere for a small or group business dinner, date night or a solo meal at the bar with Angel or Julie. The food is not heavy pasta cheese dishes like lasagna or chicken parm — great fresh fish, oysters, and northern Italian style food. Get the stuffed peppers(if they have then) and the sautée pan is the best — clams, mussels, sausage in a spicy red sauce with tons of garlic. Just what the doctor ordered.

My wife and I had a very satisfying dinner here on Halloween. We fondly remembered a visit here with our son after returning from the Cape several years ago, worn out from bumper-to-bumper traffic and famished. Caffe Bella still delivers an excellent dining experience. We started with a grilled calamari appetizer($ 12.25); the most tender calamari I’ve ever had simply seasoned with lemon and olive oil, and gently charred. I had the duck entrée($ 29.50) — a seared breast and confit leg w/fig apricot cranberry glaze, served with sweet potato prosciutto ravioli and a frisee salad. It was a full meal. The ravioli were fantastic. I’m not a pasta fan, but the flavor and freshness of these ravioli made them so satisfying. My wife had the artichoke pasta($ 19) w/roasted red pepper, oyster mushrooms, tomatoes, capers, olives, EVOO and shaved Farmer’s ricotta. Also an excellent dish. The wine list is impressive and reasonably-priced. Pours by the glass are generous. And our server eagerly offered to let me taste wines in which I expressed an interest. . Caffe Bella is not a cheap date. Many entrees near $ 30 and there were several well into the mid and high $ 30s. Despite the fancy prices, service was very casual. That could be good or bad, depending on your mood or the occasion. Note that prices on the online menu are not current. Our entrees were $ 1.50 more on the restaurant menu. Not a huge deal, but management should update their online presence. Lastly, I’d add that Caffe Bella décor could use an update. I heartily recommend Caffe Bella for creative, well-composed Italian dishes made with top quality ingredients. Let me know what you think of this review by clicking a button below. Thanks.

My favorite Italian restaurant when traveling to the Boston suburbs for business. Great place to take customers. The handwritten menu is always being refreshed. Wonderful seafood items including fresh oysters. Must try the Spicy Sausage Flatbread pizza for an appetizer. At the holidays look for their special veal chop. But my favorite go to item every time I come is there wonderful Bolognese. Can’t recommend enough just a wonderful restaurant and a wonderful staff.

Not sure we classify as regulars, but we go about as often as we go anyplace else. It never disappoints. Food is great, service is better. Any appetizer will do. Really. We have tried almost all of them at this point I would take anything the server placed before us. I love the sauté pan, and sometimes it’s a meal and others for the table to share. There is almost always a rare yellow fin tuna special. It’s hard not to order every time. The steak is awesome, pork and vinegar peppers too. But we usually want to get right to dessert. Chocolate biscotti and Nutella ice cream? On a flour less chocolate almond torte? Can that be delivered via IV drip?
