Love the grapenut ice cream… I know its a weird concept but oh so good. Ive tried other awesome flavors but just can’t get enough of the grapenut. When my mom visits in the summer we have to make a stop there because she loves it too– she introduced me.

Can’t go wrong here. My wife and I decided at the beginning of the summer that we would watch every episode of the final season of True Blood while enjoying ice cream from the Dairy Barn. They are quick to serve the long line of people waiting for ice cream, they are friendly, the place has some cool, unique, nostalgic items in the windows and on the counter in the back(Jimi Hendrix bobblehead, Captain Caveman action figure, etc). They always have old school disco/funk music playing. All summer my wife had the same thing, hot fudge sundae with purple cow ice cream. I tried to order something different every week. I never came across anything I didn’t like. Traditional hot fudge sundae, mango smoothie, snickers Flurry, hot fudge sundaes with multiple ice cream flavors. For the final episode, I found myself repeating for the first time, hot fudge sundae with coffee ice cream. I also tried a soft serve cone with their special P’Nut Crunch. It was awesome, but driving home with a cone was not a good idea, so I never tried it again. I like the place so much I even bought a Dair Barn hat. Love this place!!!

I like the options(regular, soft serve, sugar free, fat free) and sizes. I always get the kids size.

My friends and I were spending a very hot day at Blue Hills Reservation when we got a craving for ice cream. Checked Unilocal to find that the Dairy Barn was the closest spot. What a great find! They don’t make any of their ice cream but they had lots of choices for all different types of preferences. Some of my friends got the hard ice cream. Some got the soft serve. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had Italian ice and thus were able to make«gelati». Soft serve on the bottom, Italian ice in the middle, and soft serve on the top! Loved the variety of choices. Got the vanilla soft serve with cherry Italian ice. Very good! Very refreshing treat for a hot day! WIsh they had some more seating however, they really only had one bench on the side of the building.

The low-down on Dairy Barn: 1. Located in a parking lot, not on a farm. 2. Serves soft serve, hard ice cream from Richardson’s, frozen yogurt, sundaes, blizzards, etc. 3. I didn’t notice any place to relax and enjoy your ice cream — no picnic tables or anything this is just straight up parking lot ice cream eating. 4. Cash only! 5. Did I mention they have Richardson’s ice cream — I got a mint patty frozen yogurt — it was green, fabulous, and tasted just like ice cream to the point of me not believing it was frozen yogurt.

I am happy for one thing that I was raised on DB’s soft-serve ice cream since I first moved to Randolph(as a 3 year-old). It’s one of the best ones around! Plus, I don’t live far from it. I always have a great experience with customer service whenever I come here. Nostalgia stays with me whenever I order a soft serve in a cone and eat it either in my car or in the lot on a sunny/warm day. I love the transition that Dairy Barn went through, especially with the colorful spray painted works in the back! They play old-school music too :) My personal favorite is the coffee ice cream/raspberry sherbet blend. I recommend trying the dips(butterscotch is my personal favorite, cherry is okay but for some reason tasted a little like medicine for me), but be warned it gets pretty messy when you take a bite into it! I also like getting the Gelati(?) where you choose the italian ice flavor and choice of ice cream to layer into sort of a parfait :) This is way better than Dairy Queen. Don’t forget, IT’S CASHONLY!

Dairy Barn is one of Randolph’s local ice cream places. Dairy Barns ice cream is nothing special. It is really just a place for getting ice cream for the sake of getting ice cream. The hard ice cream isnt that great and same goes for the soft serve. Their soft serve flurry/blizzard thing is horrible. The soft serve ice cream is completely liquidized with some candy lazily thrown in. Might as well order a milk shake. They have some home made items like DB bars, chippywiches, and frozen bananas. The chippywich is better than a store bought ice cream cookie sandwhich. As ice cream goes, i would rather go else where because everytime i buy from Dairy Barn im just like why didn’t i just go home and have some ice cream from the super market.

Came here one night, and my experience was wonderful! I was being difficult because I asked her to let me taste different favors considering there are some weird names for these ice cream. So I tried a couple like purple cow yogurt, and moose track hard ice cream, liked both! :) then I also made all my orders and had it packed for take-out so my family could try some. So my final order was brownie sundae w/moose track ice cream, mango Italian ice which was really good, raspberry sherbet which had great flavor and tartness to it, coffee Heath with great strong coffee flavors if you love coffee get this! So I had all this packed for take-out! She was so nice and patient with me from the time I was deciding what to get, to actually trying the ice creams and actually ordering it to get it packed. The music is pretty cool too! In the end, I asked for her name, which was Samantha & tipped her for her great service! People may not think service is a big deal because it’s an Ice cream place, but it makes all the difference! Will be coming back here :)

I am proud to come from the town that has the best soft serve ice cream I’ve ever had in my life. No need to get anything fancy, just soft serve with jimmies is perfection. Their frappes are great, too. Anyone who calls this Dairy Queen is quite mistaken because their soft serve doesn’t hold a candle to DB’s.

First of all I just refuse to call it Dairy Barn, it will always be Dairy Queen to me. Growing up we never said mom please take us to Dairy Barn. ummm no. Anyway, I am out in CA now, but when back home this is one of our first stops. I love the old school feel of walking up to that window. Not sure if they have Mr. Misty’s still but if so there is nothing like one of those on a sticky summer day. No matter what you get it will be good though, just dont judge it by the appearance, it may not be all sassy like a coldstone or something but its amazing and the prices are awesome to.

If you were driving by Dairy Barn, your first reaction wouldn’t be to pull in and give it a shot. It’s located in a run-down plaza and looks like an older Dairy Queen. But, if you were to pass it up, you would be missing out on some great ice cream at good prices! You order at a window and there is no indoor seating though they have a couple park benches outside where you can sit in the parking lot and eat your ice cream before it melts. It has a fun vibe to it with action-figures such as Batman, Spiderman, Mario & Luigi, Marvin, and others spread around. There is graffiti art and funky music playing. I had chocolate ice cream, peanut butter cups, chocolate and peanut butter sauces all mixed together in their version of a Blizzard. It was possibly the best Blizzard-style ice cream/sundae I’ve had! Warning though: you only need to get the regular size. I can’t even imagine what the large size would’ve been! I will definitely head back there when I have a craving for ice cream!

YUM! My friends and I call this this Ghetto Queen because it looks like an old DQ that has become the Dairy Barn. But, ghetto queen or not, this place is my newest favorite haunt! They play fun old-school music, the girls that work there are sweethearts and the ice cream is always good. I recommend their version of the Blizzard– made with real big chunks of peanut butter cups. ohhh yeah!

The ice cream is good. If you in the area come on down and enjoy your favorite ice cream. I just don’t like how they served my niece ice cream in the plastic cover… but that’s another story.

aww DB is the place to be! There is cool graffiti art on the inside and outside of cows with fitted hats, chains, and what not! haha and the music is 70s soul that I love to dance to while i’m eating my purple cow fro yo. They have tons of options and the long line goes by quickly.

9pm and sitting bored in Braintree? Take a drive to the Dairy Barn. kind of a ghetto fabulous version of a Dairy Queen. usually is pumping out some weird 70’s music for you to enjoy while they serve up some yummy soft-serve! The staff is friendly and the coffee soft-serve is really good and they have lots of options for you to chill to. haha, chill because it is ice cream.(-;
